I wear YSL EDP often and it really works. It smells mature but also hints that you have a wild/freaky side. But please STOP talking about this fragrance !!! I don’t want this to become the new Dior Sauvage😂

I bought Y last month after a very long research and I don't regret the choice at all. Women goes crazy about it, it's a scent you can wear anytime, 4 seasons, and you are always right. It's sweet, catchy, altough very chemical. Also is not that common around, so you distingue yourself trough the ocean of sauvage out there.

I call it a dinner fragrance, meaning that if you are at dinner with friends the ones sitting next to you will smell it but not everybody, is not that loud. You can use it in the office for sure or in gym, altough I think its very best is by night for dating. But really, there aren't situations not good for this precious jewel, it makes you feel confident and sexy, and last but not least, when you say "It's by Yves Saint Laurent" you suddenly sound very, very classy and cool, like a tuxedo with no tie: classy but with a twist. Man, I do love this fragrance.

I dont have dates i am too ugly even i am normal decent average guy. I had only 4x in 35 years coffee drinking interview "Date" as husband beta candidate. So no night dates only 12pm coffee. So buy this shit to smell good and rich and not for the hoes

I dont know what to get this summer i got sauvage but parfume version its so strong i like edp one im planing to get acqua digio profumo or yvs Y , i got 8 parfumes on my collection from all my favoruite its dunhill icon ricing the green bottle if u know the smell of dunhill green bottle could u recomend me kind of smell

My wife doesn't make a whole lot of money but she bought me a small bottle of the Sauvage, cuz she likes it. I am not a fragrant use of these but I took use of it cuz she bought it. It smells really nice and attractive. When I kindly asked how much it was, which I wont say, it was expensive. I wore it and it lasted ALL DAY. It was clearly on a different level than putting on scented masculine deodorant. Doesnt take much either.

@DinoNugget247 i would suggest 5-6 sprays, two behind each ear one at the center of your neck, one behind your head and one or two at the top of your shirt (left and right or just middle)
Maybe Dylan Blue works much better on skin than on paper..
I also just ordered Dylan blue instead of YSL Y, first bc I don't really like synthetic scents.. AND I want to try different brands, and already got YSL La Nuit edT as allrounder.. I think Dylan Blue is a good addition to my ALLTIME summer fav ADG Profumo, plus it's cheaper than YSL Y..
I don't know if I go nose blind but it only seems to last about an hour. Love the smell but terrible performance. Waste of money
At first I didn't like YSL Y edp as it reminded me of cleaning products with the synthetic smell- but as I was testing it it developed much better on the skin and also I was pleasantly suprised with the performance of this fragrance
it smelled like a quality wine to me, cuz of the juniper berries or a alcoholic drink, maybe gin mixed with fruits?

Hi Curly, i think before you try smell different fragrances, in between each one get them too smell coffee beans in between each one to neutrilise the smell of each scent, thats what they do at the mens cologne shop here

Love your interviews.. I have sampled YSL and like the initial spray, but the dry down was not a fragrance I liked so I wouldn’t add it to my collection..although longevitywas impressively all day
Would like to see YSL Y vs. other (non-blue) everyday, fresh scents like Allure homme sport eau extreme, Dunhill Icon, Light blue eau intense, that type of thing
Maybe for future comparisons, you could just give them the 3 tester strips and tell them to rank them.
It looks like people opinion sometimes it is influenced by their peers
The difference in what normal people like vs fragheads is what is surprising.
So two of the first girls actually liked Dylan Blue instead of ADG until it registered that their friend liked ADG so they switched it up and one of the second ladies liked YSL Y until she saw Sauvage scribbled on the tester. So it was actually 5,1,1,4.
It would be interesting to put something mainstream like Sauvage up against something lesser well known that has lost multiple reactions against Sauvage, switch the names around, tell them, and see how they vote. Obviously tell them the truth of which was which afterwards. A little social experiment.
I am finally starting to wear fragrances again after 20 years, and I appreciate all your help. After visiting a department store, I walked out with YSL Y edp, and Mont Blanc Explorer. The YSL Y smells amazing at all points of drying. While the Explorer might seem old fashioned at first, it dries amazingly, and I love it about 15 minutes after spraying

Problem with Versace DB is that it smells like cheap fresh Potpourri trying to be all in once (Sauvage, BDC, etc) ending being nothing. Got few bottles of it always ending selling them. Y, BDC, Sauvage, ADG is the way to go if you want to smell good.
But compare the prices of Y, Bleu de Chanel, Sauvage and ADG with Dylan blue.
Dylan blue costs quite literally almost HALF of those.

Dylan Bleu is the best of all these! Very interesting scent combines all the others and has a powerfull smell with a fantastic longevity. Sauvage is boring... everbody wears it, ysl is synthetic, aqua di gio just fresh.

Dylan Blue seems weak to me in cold weather but in hot weather it is powerful. Sauvage is my favourite followed by Y EDP.

Best to be consistant with age groups. The adults seem to think for them selves whereas the younger lot tend to all choose what their alpha says. Since the channel is aimed at Men with hanging balls that drink coffee, maybe ask women and not little girls

I was at Macy's NYC and got hustled for a YSL Y EDP box set for $150 last year. Did not disappoint. It's a head turner when I'm buying coffee at starbucks. Girls in my salon asks me all the time what I'm wearing.

I'm kind of surprised Y Edp came out on top of this one. I have it myself, almost never use it because it's like you said, synthetic. That bright opening of it though, when you catch it in the air, delicious. I still prefer the Le Parfum myself. It's a guy thing. Women seem to prefer the Edp. Thank you for a great video :)

@@Sup3riork1ng Yeah it has a very sharp curve. So I can totally see how it can be a little over the top for some. It cuts through like a razor or like a high pitch sound would.
I got that feel at first. But it grows on me, smells like a high quality wine, or gin mixed with cantaloupe to me. But i do smell the synthetic powder feeling in it to. its very different from other blue fragrances, its very good for sunny and hot days. Sauvage feels better at night.
Y edp is a love of mine, but I can't wear it when it's very hot outside (30*C+).. it can be a lil bit too much

I have Ysl EDP 2019 batch 100 ml and man it’s a beast like longevity is 10+hrs off my skin, projection is great, leaves a great silage 10/10. Then I bought another bottle a 2021 batch 200 ml and man has the fragrance been dumbed down, performance is ehh, projection ain’t the same, I have to overspray to get it to perform as my 2019 batch does. thankfully my 100 ml bottle is still relatively full, but thinking of giving my 200 ml bottle away as it’s most likely been reformulated.

Already have Sauvage and can’t go wrong it, had Dylan Blue when it first came out and I loved it but I’ll take Dior ADGP over it, YSL Y hasn’t really caught my attention, prefer L’Homme as of today. Is less sweet than EDP. I love both. EDP tends to be more mass pleasing but le parfum is richer and less sweet than the EDP. I hope this helps.

I used to wear the older Acqua DI Gio and loved it. I switched to Hugo for men a while ago but I am missing the Acqua Di Gio, but not sure I will still like it with the new scent added.

It would be great if you made a battle between fresh, sweet, fresh and sweet fragrances to see which of this would give the best reactions from women because people think that fresh and blue fragrances will give them massive compliments but in terms of this it is like: fresh- 🙂, fresh and sweet-😳, sweet-👹, kouros-💀

i have smelled it and would make them smell this third or even last because the smell of this can hinder smelling anything else properly .. imo
putting dylan blue against y edp, profondo, etc is just unfair, dylan blue is the worst and most synthetic, cheap blue fragance, of course is not getting love when you put it against probably the best blue fragances out there, btw versace makes better fragances, like eros edp and versace pour homme, masterpieces! dylan blue lacks character, no wonder why it is always on sale.
It was made by Alberto morillas the same guy that created sauvage and all aqua di gio line. I don’t think it’s synthetic or the worst ! You are too dramatic

@@whoisnext9837 thats just my opinion brother, versace makes way better scents, eros edp, versace pour homme ( my fav ), dylan blue is just plain boring and im not overreacting ive been collecting, selling, trading and buying fragances for over 30 years and i rarely speak negatively of a fragance im very open minded when it comes to fragances, but dylan blue is one of those scents that it is just boring to me and a lot of people i know, if you like a dylan blue-like fragance but waaaaaaay more interesing try prada luna rossa ocean, trust me it is a thousand times better and it goes for 90$, it does what dylan blue attempt to do with moderate performance, 6-7 hours.

Thanks for the fragrance battle, very insightful, I started my small fragrance collection a few weeks before and from all these 4 I went with Dylan blue because it's quite pleasant, very versatile and cheaper than the other options so I can pretty much use it daily specially now that summer is on going. I bought a 200ml bottle of Dylan Blue for 55€ which given the performance and versatility of it it's a great deal and should last me a while, from the Versace options so far I'm a fan of Dylan Blue and Eros.
You get what you pay for. Congrats on choosing the worst of the 4. Hopefully the essay you just wrote on here helps you cope.

The sole outcome of tests like this is that they will never be conclusive because people's preferences for scent are highly subjective, even when mass appeal is taken into consideration when creating the perfume. Even the target age group for perfumes, young or old cannot be determined with any degree of accuracy. The good thing is we get a glimpse of what other people like.

How do you feel about Dylan blue vs Bad Boy Cobalt Electrique?
Dior Sauvage def my fav and girls love it too. I used to wear JPG Ultramale to the club but stopped because Sauvage is simply the king and the reactions i get from using it are 10/10.
Looking for a sidekick though and these 3 are def good options even though YSL always puts me off when i smell it @ stripes. Guess i'll need to give it a go on my skin :)

I dont understand why women like Y edp so much. Even my Girlfriend likes it, but i think its the worst smell out of all four fragrances in the video.
