- Sphere, a new Las Vegas venue, lit up for a trial run of its LED light display on the Fourth of July, ahead of its official opening in September. The company behind the venue say it’s the world's largest spherical structure at 516 feet wide and 366 feet tall and will be able to host events for up to 20,000 attendees.

As a Local resident i really must say the timing for this project design was well worth the wait.

I live in Vegas and didn't even know that they were building it, lol. When you live here, unless you work on the strip, many locals don't go down there. It is quite beautiful. I may have to take a ride down at night to see it....
If you've never looked up airfare to Vegas... please do so. It's usually cheaper than most people realize.
I understand if you may be from abroad. I'd like to see the world.

All you need to know is Fremont casino and hotel, stayed there a week 38 dollars a night.

As someone that has seen this being built from the ground up... I truly can't believe how high the resolution is on the exosphere. The interior screen is the highest resolution ever. I thought they would skip a little on the exterior.. Inside, there's over 150 THOUSAND speakers, this structure is definitely over budget. 2.3 billion dollars. But I think they made the right move. I can't wait to watch a show. Movie. Or anything here! Congrats MSG!

I heard the cost was $3.46 billion, but then again that was an Australian media site & their dollar is worth 67¢ so $3.46-bil is actually $2.3 bil USA dollars. So yeah. Trust me Seattle,
LA, Chicago, or NYC wouldn’t be able to build this for $5-billion & it would take a decade before ground breaking even started. American Cities really could learn a lot from Las Vegas. Its the largest American city where the infrastructure isn’t crumbling & was built like a “peoples magnet”. An ADULT DISNEYLAND of sorts where children do have fun, but behave & act like adults, without all the crying, screaming, & snotty noses like Disneyland. Or the politics from people like that creep in floriduh, Sanchez using Disney to make a name for himself. Vegas has none of that. Its really quite unique as are their people.

I feel proud that we finish this project and i work as main qc for this exterior and work hard for this moment.. and everyone gono shocked when they will see interior…finally we did it…

This is quite stunning and mesmerising isn't it?. Gorgeous light show and the way the colours and pictures blend into each other is pretty spectacular. I dread to think of the electricity bill for that sphere!. I guess somebody is running around topping up the meter with dimes and cents somewhere!.

This is my favorite Light show in Vegas Now. I saw them testing the LED’s last week with green and purple swirl from a room in Trump tower. I hope they limit the amount of advertisements that pop up on this sphere because it’s amazing

I gotta admit, that shot of the moon is practically transcendental. Imagine being on that tram while the image rotates. You'd feel as if you're orbiting the moon.

I remember drawing something just like this as a teenager after visiting Las Vegas with my family. I even named it "Sphere" Hotel/Resort. It's amazing to see that something from my childhood fantasy drawings of an imaginary Vegas neon spherical building actually really exists now in real life. I will definitely visit this on my next Vegas trip!

Wow! We were in Vegas last week and drove by. It was black. I wondered what it was then. The next day I saw it from downtown and it was silver. I had no idea it was capable of this type of art and entertainment. Cool!
