Your respirator shown at 1:11 appears to be missing the particulate filters that fit over the carbon filter. That particular cartridge does not have them built in if I identified it correctly
Tip: Instead of using CA glue, you can use methylene chloride, Weldon / sci grip 3 or 2007 or Plastruct plastic weld to solvent weld to join the parts before soldering. Works much more quickly and melts PLA and ABS and PETG along the seam
Thank you - I haven't done any welding yet mainly becuase I'm scared to mess up what I've made so far. So many half printed/half finished projects. But This gives me some guidance on how to weld (I have no welding experience). I've seen some guys who use an extra piece kind of like soldering/welding for the beads. do you recommend that as well?
I mentioned that in the video as well, I dont really do that often, What can happen is you end up adding a raised spot to the plastic so if its on an exposed side you have to sand downn more material. Can be good for inisde pieces though.
For bigger pieces like an iron man chest piece, dyou need to weld the outside as well, or just the inside? I've been doing both sides but it can be as pain to sand after.
Kinda depends on the file, for do3d they often have little tabs that are great to weld that make it strong enough with out welding the front but sometimes you need strength on both sides
Super helpful! I have a few projects coming up that I was dreading on adhering two pieces. Thanks for the detailed video!
Super happy to help! I was worried when posting that this content has been done before but that comment makes it worth it
Nice Demonstration. I like the stitching action. I'll have to give that a shot.
What are you working on?
@@SaturdayMorningProps A couple of Mandalorian helmets
@@Fredster9984 that was my first welding project attaching the dome to base of Mando's when I first started

Thanks For looking out! May have to upgrade the cartridges to a more robust set, These were better then the pink ones it had on it originally

Nice! Thanks for the tip
That's a nice tip! I'm about to start doing bigger pieces, so that'll be helpful. Also: Final Fantasy and MMPR? Now that's my vibe!
Yeah gunblade was gonna be the next project after yellow ranger but I really want to work on this ironman 🤣
Great video as always!
