@4B11T Yes, turbo back means, the exhaust is modified from the turbo to the back of the car. So everything after the turbo (which includes the downpipe, but not the exhaust manifold).
yeah but i want the struts and shocks, not just the spirngs. using anything stock with aftermarket screws up the allignment. front wheels look like this \\ (engine) // // (trunk) \\
@hiluss heard wrong man.. they do have gasket problems but all you gotta do is replace once every couple of years.. alternator problems as well but very small issues.
thats going to cost you way more than you think it will probably, a 4g63 motor is completely mounted in a different direction than the 420a, your going to have to replace the entire drivetrain power steering, everything for that to work.
Yeah its lowered. As for the wheels, sorry I can't remember anymore, the car was sold a while ago. They came with the car so I don't really know which ones they are, but in this video the center caps were taken out. I think they looked better that way.
You can get the motor warm without getting the turbo super hot. If you aren't getting into boost you don't really need to let a turbo cool down. However its still spinning some, so its warm enough that it didn't hurt anything when I started it up and took off fast like that. Trust me I take very good care of my cars.
Most exhaust systems are cat-back (replace the pipes from the catalytic converter to the back) and a turbo-back just means it replaces all of the exhaust pipes after the turbo.
Again, I'm not sure since it was already lowered when I bought the car. Search for a website called DSMTuners and there will be plenty of examples there for you to decide how much you want to lower your car.
They are 17's, the center cap was also taken out on them. They were on the car when I got them. I personally wasn't a huge fan of them, but they aren't bad.
you can change that the 4g63 engine will drop right in place of the 420a motor all you need is the mounts for the 4g63 im doing that to mine in a couple weeks.
@elqimporta you would rather a 91 or 92 6 bolt motor as the 90 is very hard to find and 90s were so different from the others i would rather stay away. and also, no way on the evo 8 motor as it is the wrong orientation as it faces the same way as the 420a, you must have gotten the idea from forza, the proper evo motors would be an evo 1-3 as after that 4-9 all have the same orientation. great sounding exhaust as well, i have it on my 96 galant and its really deep. i love it,
Has anyone had an eclipse that they didnt have to work on like a job, ive had 2 turbo and regular and now i hate them they took up more time than anything i feel like i wasted my life fixing the pieces of crap, but at first i was in love with them. Anyone else go through this crazy dilemma??
3" down pipe, 3" exhaust all straight, With after market manifolds.. Best sound your gonna get from these cars besides a built engine.. Sounds good, I got full 3" Greddy and to me it sound like Assholes compared to my straight 3"
@cmills5081 Pretty sure its just a straight pipe. I haven't owned this car for years so my memory might be off, but I'm almost positive it didn't have a cat.
I got to admit, that is quiet for a turboback.
It doesn't matter, it doesn't sound shitty!
It is teh secks.

ORLY??!?
It was already warm. I warmed it up for the purpose of making this video because the people that were buying it wanted to see it running.

The one that comes in them is just fine, but if anything swap in the older (6 bolt) version of the engine that comes in the early 1g's.
Hes selling his 99 non-turbo eclipse to buy a turbo one. Sure you can turbo the 420a, but its just not as good of a platform as the 4g63.
Omg that's my affordable dream car :)
No its not my first, but the exhaust is an apexi n1 catback. It came on the car when I got it so I don't know how much it was.
The sideskirts on this car? They are the stock 97-99 eclipse ones available on any 97-99 eclipse (even the non turbo ones).
@jthaoz Its much much deeper in real life. Most cars don't sound anything like they do in real life on camera.
sounds different from my bro's 99 gst apexi. he didn't have downpipe. it was a deeper tone. yours kinda raspy.
@kouruleoblaze It had a downpipe too, not sure of the brand. That was already on the car when I bought it.
how low? sorry i dont knbow how much to lower mine, down wanna take the bumper out over a speed bump
i have a 420a and i hate my car that much more everytime i see a gsx. ugh i hate that god damn thing

i wanted a gsx but i heard alot of bad things bout them.......
i wanna see a lunch brther man lol jokin but thats a clean dsm
what is the clearance then because my driveway is pretty steep
Its definitely not, its a manual and it had a act 2600 clutch
its a turbo car man meaning warming up is very necessary
@puranger52 why would you want to get rid of the 4g63?
is your eclipse lowered? what kind of rims are those?

JDM; FTW!
Someone bought it for double what I had into it. Hard to pass a deal like that up.

damn.. i miss my 95 talon tsi.. had a lot of good memories with that thing. It was beast as hell too.

@Darusthewarlock They are 17" ADR Competitions without the center caps.
3" down pipe, 3" exhaust all straight, With after market manifolds.. Best sound your gonna get from these cars besides a built engine.. Sounds good, I got full 3" Greddy and to me it sound like Assholes compared to my straight 3"

Sounds Real Nice! All You Need Now Is The Apexi N1 Downpipe, And It'll Really Be Soundin Right!!
Got you!...Thanks for explaning. Trying to learn!
What rims are those??? And how many inches lowered?
