Hi, I love your channel. I'm newly diagnosed with Crohn's. I like how you don't tiptoe around the gross effects. I shall recommend you original vid to explain the disease to family members.
I am so happy to see you posting again! I missed your videos. These little tips are super helpful for me and they inspire me to look into things that I thought were just me. It's nice to know it's not just me!
Thank you for posting! I have Crohn's (remissive, or at least it was last time I checked!) and some other chronic issues and yet I STILL try to do everything ever then get confused when I'm tired or have a pain flare 😅 It's nice to have a reminder sometimes that being fatigued etc., isn't something to feel guilty about!
Please keep making videos, you're doing great. Gotta say, this last winter has been the worst for my condition yet, reminded me of my first onset lol. Baby's first onset 😂 I did sleep a whole lot, on purpose.
Please pay attention to what is being said here, it is good information. Coming from a fellow Crohn's disease, Arthritis, migraines, G.E.R.D, neurological Behçet's patient..... PLEASE TAKE CARE 🙏
Hi, have you tried the carnivore diet to try and relieve your symptoms? I was having a really bad IBD flair for most of 2023, I was put on several medications but nothing seemed to work this time round. About 6 weeks before my colonoscopy I decided to give carnivore a go and in about 5 days my symptoms had completely gone. I went from 6 - 8 urgent toilet visits with blood and mucus to one visit every other day with no blood or mucus. No stomach pain or bloating either. I'm not strict carnivore but 90% there. I can certainly tell when I've 'had a day off'. Anyway, it might be worth a try for a couple of weeks if you haven't already, even if you just do it as an elimination diet. Some very interesting videos on TH-cam regarding the benefits of carnivore. Take care. And best of luck.
Yeah between the Crohn's and the cold weather my knees are definitely feeling more stiff. Hate to say it but I'm rapidly becoming an old man at the humble age of 26
It's such an individual disease, blanket recommendations like this aren't that useful. Low fat/low sugar combined with high fibre, wholegrains and most fermented products works well for me. Others with Crohn's thrive on near carnivore diets.
Hey, Crohn's is an autoimmune disease. While food can effect symptoms when in a flare, it cannot cause a flare up. Research has indicated that consumption of soluble fibre can be helpful in maintaining healthy gut bacteria and improving disease outcomes in Crohn's. Diet is individual to every person-- I personally eat loads of fibre (vegetables, wholegrains), but any sort of meat besides fish causes severe pain!
