Think of s Tier as being in one of the top ranks in a certain category. Like how the smash bros characters are all placed in certain lettered lists ranging from d tier which I believe is the lowest and s being the highest ranks.
This is why I just started getting back into Pokémon cards. Yea the ones releasing now may not have much value, but they will 10-20 years from now. Especially the new base set with Scarlet Violet
It's hard to say. People are saving and not even opening way more product now than they were back then. The vintage stuff will always have value simply because not as much of it has survived in decent condition, and it was not printed in nearly the same quantity as modern sets
You are missing a very critical part of these cards. For instance, on the venesaur, the clip of it being pulled was a shadowed venesaur, but the picture of the graded card, was a shadowless venusaur
When I was a kid a friend of mine had a shiny Celebi. His church held a "Give up your sin" party for kids to get rid of their satanic Pokemon cards and it was sadly a casualty.

For those that don't know, Pokémon cards are that expensive bcs. of the rarity, some features that make them unique are holographs, shadow,and what edition it is. Bcs. of that rarity, people sell these cards in a high price, and the buyers sell it higher. I once had a 1st edition Dark Magician, and it was sold for $7000. It's not much, but I didn't understand card values.

To be worth that much money it must be first edition and also be in good condition. I have a base set charizard from when I was a kid and I looked it up on eBay. It was worth about 200$ because it has a couple scratches and is not first edition.

I grew up in the 90’s and when Pokémon came out,we all loved it.I collected all the cards I could get,literally had a full book.Wish I could remember where I left that book.
I actually bought all 3 of the 1st Edition Gen 1 Starter cards at my very first anime convention back in New York City and because I stopped collecting cards 14 years ago, I never realized just how rare they were XD I drained my wallet from buying them, but I got no regrets 😅

I used to collect Pokemon cards back when they first came out. I came from a not 'well off' family, so buying a booster pack was a HUGE thing for me. I pulled a first edition Charizard, I was so excited that I couldn't stop shaking. I called all my friends, non of them believed me, so I decided to take it into school for 1 day. On that day (like many days) I was bullied, but the bullies had heard that I had that card and all my other shinies with me (including, Blastoise, Venusaur, Raichu, plus many more). So they took them all. I told a teacher but they didn't care. I forgot about it for years until about 5 years ago when I saw an article online of how one sold for £10,000. Now it seems to be a big thing about buying old boxes to find them. So very frustrating :(

No the most expensive is the pikachu illustrator you flipped 1 and 2. The charizard 1st edition shadowless is only worth a couple hundred thousands but the pikachu illustrator is worth 5.7 million
When I was a kid I went into a local game store and purchased a pack, while walking out of the store I turned and said to my brother "I'm going to get a Shining Charizard", opened it and sure enough got a Shining Charizard. I remember being absolutely ecstatic. Days later I sold it to my brothers friend for a merely $50. Time to uninstall life.

The most rare, and expensive I have is a Yu-Gi-Oh! Card called "Red Nova Dragon" it's the most powerful card in existence, and I will never sell it for money I'm grateful for it in my collection

No the most expensive is the pikachu illustrator you flipped 1 and 2. The charizard 1st edition shadowless is only worth a couple hundred thousands but the pikachu illustrator is worth 5.7 million
This was serious, I remember someone getting stabbed in london years ago for a charizard card ..
When I was a kid I went into a local game store and purchased a pack, while walking out of the store I turned and said to my brother "I'm going to get a Shining Charizard", opened it and sure enough got a Shining Charizard. I remember being absolutely ecstatic. Days later I sold it to my brothers friend for a merely $50. Time to uninstall life.

@@rolltideroll8458 The sudden boom in Pokemon Card News. It was always a thing with fans, but it seems to have gained a sudden spike in videos ever since Critikal made videos about his Pokemon Card Collection.
It's always been a thing though, so Hudson might be giving him TOO much credit (especially since other TH-camrs like Chuggaaconroy made videos about their collections at least a couple months earlier).

The most rare, and expensive I have is a Yu-Gi-Oh! Card called "Red Nova Dragon" it's the most powerful card in existence, and I will never sell it for money I'm grateful for it in my collection
I'm going to try and get a Yu-Gi-Oh Rush Duels event started once this pandemic ends.

@@omegagiratina3090 Sure thing. Well one of my rules for it is you can use OCG Rush Duel cards but in accordance with the official rules you have to be able say the official English Translation for card names and card effects since this is going to be a US event.

@@omegagiratina3090 Eh Rush Duel cards, and Normal Rule cards I'm fine with either I was planning on having both the Master Rules Format, and The Rush Duel Format as a way to bring Yu-Gi-Oh fans together after a shall we say rocky year.
