DJ Cee B is a good resource. I'm back DJing after a long time, and Crossfader, DJ LiftOff, and DJ Carlo have a lot of good game on their channels. Record pools will save your life with intro edits and remixes. BPM Supreme and Franchise Record Pool got me right. Keep it going, Brodie.
Yō what's going on family. Just saw your channel. I watch your Christmas party, and I enjoy what you said about being more open minded when it comes to different styles of music. That is a great way to start and just keep going and do what you love and keep grinding. Yes, indeed between the rev 5 is light and is very easy I used it when one my DJ buddy had it been a very great hardware. Now I used DJ control inpulse 500 by Hercules and I love it. I use Virtual DJ since 2008 when it was just the free version before I brought the full pro version. Keep up the great work stay blessed. Peace.
Congrats!!!! As a DJ will always feel like you don't have enough music. Hahaha Especially now days when new songs drop left and right...while old songs resurface (thanks tik tok) hahaha
I'm glad you're enjoying the Rev 5, bro. I agree that DJ Cee B is a great source for file organization. BPM Supreme is a good record pool for music. The record pools also have dj edit songs that helps you mix in and out of songs easier.
New Subscriber here. I am in Houston as well and just bought the Rev5 as well last week and coming from my older Denon unit, it is a different world. Great buy. Definitely will be buying Pioneer more in the future.
Love content as a mobile Dj here in Az I asked around when I first started and a lot of advice was ask the clients for a playlist and you can organize in ways that would pop and get you the night with there liking of music and your liking of music goes both ways
Thank you for putting out this content it has always been a dream of mine to be a dj i didn't know where to begin so i push it back in my mind and then my co worker pushed me to do it but now he's not willing to teach me so i decided to look on TH-cam and your content is really speaking volume
Keep doing your thing bro. The one thing I will tell you is vibe with you’re crowd. A device can’t do it all the time. Also people can feed off you’re energy .
Great vidoes. I definitely enjoy watching your journey. I'm basics on the same journey. Invest in a Dj Pool. Find one that meets your music type and build it up. Also, research your preferred Dj software. Serato has many features that you are using Dj Studio for. I love that i can arrange my playlist by BPM and Key. Again, you are doing a great job.
Great topic and content. Also, congratulations on reaching 1K💪🏾 Try looking at some crate hackers videos and see if that would be a helpful resource for you too!
Cool content my friend. create you a checklist on your Iphone (if user) to ease your mind when packing up. I struggle myself creating playlists. Keep the videos coming.
You can have the stems echo out by assigning the stems to the key pads (hold shift + third selection above keypad). Let me know if this is what you are looking for.
Great work brother! Enjoy and nice putting yourself out there. I make blends on my channel let me know if you want any of them I'll send t hem to you! Bless!!
Review your playlist history after each gig and identify tracks that worked at the gig and remove those that didnt. Keep reviewing history after each gig to build crate that is nothing but bangers.
@ there is no perfect set up , you just have to adjust to it , some people like this some people like that , it comes down to skills , if you got that you can make it work , some of the early mixers didn’t even have eq and djs like jazzy Jeff made it happen , so we learn to work with what we got , this only my humble opinion .
so what I was referring to is the pads below the stem you are wanting to mute.. they function differently than the actual stem pad... when you use the pad below the actual stem you are wanting to mute, that triggers Serato's vocal breaks and instrument brakes.. thats where the delay was coming from...those function differently than pressing the actual drum or vocal stem no matter what controller you use. I just realized that.. I thought the same thing at first but I knew it wasn't my Mac cuz I have a 32gb ram MacBook since I edited videos for a living... so I knew I wasn't trippin 😂
@ it the controller. I use a Rane performance and had a Rane four. The controller you using now is less processor then the Rane products That why it’s smooth

Organization takes time , I’m on my 5th or 6th scheme… Dj’ing is the easy part… the real work sourcing the music and organization .

Ayye H-town stand up! And no lie pioneer kinda go hard!
DJ Cee B is great resource i use both serato and vdj and both my libraries are set up the same with my Rev 5 .
That’s smart! Setting both libraries up the same way will make transitioning easy

Yup I was saying the same thing I have everything midi mapped in my Rev 7 and its a big difference vs. Rane 1 in clarity using stems
I thought it was me. But I hear a difference for sure!
Keep up the good work brother, we need more positive DJs on this Earth, one day I'll make sure that I give you a shout out 😎😎💯💯

1 easy way to start organizing is genre smart crates or a hit record crate/songs everyone knows

@ Your video encouraged me to make a how to create a “checklist” using Iphone, on my channel If interested.
@ just checked it out and subbed to your channel!! Thank you fam!
Maybe try the FX but turn quantise OFF or change the quantise grid settings, or change the FX grid settings on the controller / in Serato?
I’ll give that a try! Good call
Dope video bro!!! What camera are you using super crisp video!

Stems is based on the software not hardware. Also depends on the song

I’d assume the rev 5 would be better since it responds on command and cleaner..
Yeh it is. I just have to be more precise.
Definitely get on record pools if you want to own your music. Have a large hard drive like 1-2TB

thank you!!
Its the software thats morr responsive. Thats why u get stens nore responsive on Serato
make sense

ok bet! I'm gonna try that
My rane one is perfect with stems I use a mac book pro , but do what works for you champ
The stems are good on it. I just need to get the stems to work on the pads on the Rev5 like the Rane One does.
@ there is no perfect set up , you just have to adjust to it , some people like this some people like that , it comes down to skills , if you got that you can make it work , some of the early mixers didn’t even have eq and djs like jazzy Jeff made it happen , so we learn to work with what we got , this only my humble opinion .
very true!
Rane take more to process on the CPU ,, that why u have delays and your laptop aint fast enought
