  • Daniel Goleman talks about how in order to be in a top profession a person needs, aside from a high IQ, the ability to be self-motivated and emotionally intelligent.

Have always loved this guy and his books.
His teachings can be applied to all areas of life- not just in the workplace.

My IQ is around 126 but im was never good in school, im always told i have good people skills. People tell me im an "old soul" because they feel i can give them life advice that other 19 year olds never would think of. Now do i belive in EQ.., no i just think if you listen and if you look at things from above so to speak, and really think about how evryone most of seen it and felt then you will learn how to speak and read people. I truly belive that looking at a persons reaction and body movements and keeping track of their voice ( if it gets high or low) is really all you need to read a person and understand. ( sorry for my English im not from an english speaking contry)

I can't even access my full potential, because I'm an emotional immature person. It's sad, but I'm getting back up. I should have been learned this stuff.

What should I as a teen do to improve my emotional intelligence, Is it same for adults as mentioned in the video?

+Pundarikaksha Kavipurapu Most articles on the internet talk about parents teaching emotional skills to teenagers not what a teen should do himself.
