    There was a lot of logging done in central Alabama around 1900. That's probably where the nickel came from. My great uncle was a foreman of his uncle's logging camp in Coosa County in 1909. He was only 12 years old & carried a pistol, because they never new anything about the random people who'd show up for work in the middle of the woods, escaped convicts, etc.

      During the 1840’s Goldville was the second largest city in Alabama. “It was a tent city”. When the California gold rush started people left Alabama and went to California and left a lot of gold in Goldville and New Site. The largest gold nugget found in the eastern United States was found near Verbena Alabama.
      Rumor is a man in Verbena had a sluice box in his back yard and sent all three of his daughters to college with the gold he was pulling out of the box.

    In the early 2000’s some Auburn Professor’s, using Minelab Gold Detectors in (Hatchet Creek) Coosa County Alabama were finding gold. They would get a signal in the bedrock cracks and use portable jackhammers to bust the bedrock to get the gold out.
    I knew the guy that was selling them the $3k Minelab’s. He had pictures of some of the Gold they were finding.✌️

    • @FindingAlabama

      @@FindingAlabama They had maps of the Mineral deposits in Coosa County. They definitely had the advantage. I saw a picture of a piece on white quarts about the size of a SoftBall with veins of Gold running through it. So yeah. That’s the piece they used to test the Minelab before they bought it.

    Well I'll be! You work a '75 and a 2plus like me! FT make great tools that usually end up setting the bar for others to aspire to at the end of the day. Tools worth the wait, usually turn out to be great. Me, I'm waiting on the new FT Single Frequency. Quick and deep is right up my street.

    Can you use Slipknot,s drums and bass without violating copy rights, that would be great..hint. No digging pass required in Al. Illegally anyways, and this goes on everywhere. Unmarked mines, scraped. You can also trespass without worry. Along as your not carrying a weapon, wich we all know anything 28an a half inches exposed is not against the law if not concieled. . Meaning they won't look for you if they can't see you from whoever dialed their property, unless they say you had a weapon. . Alabama cops hate the woods. . But the fact you are trespassing and with a weapon. Stay out mines and stay alive. You may find a false bottom 130 years old that drops 80+feet. Called an ore drop. Some are flooded.. ftp.

    • @FindingAlabama
      @FindingAlabama  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's my friends property in this video.
      Appreciate you watching 👍🏻 I have zero tolerance for trespassing my self. I NEVER trespass.. we're no where near a mine👍
