though I had some problem with sea water It also th-cam.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

I wondered what it was like on other beaches and it looks the same as North and Sourh Carolina. North Carolina is more different bc of the islands and some towns keeping it historic. Even the water looks the same. Glad you brought me along to see other places Thank you for that! I became disabled 15 years ago so you folks that travel are my feet and my eyes! Good luck, Be Safe!

I believe the main reason for the 12” hole ordinance is that in some areas, turtles have nesting grounds and it impedes the hatchlings trek to the water. Enjoyed the video.

My sister and brother in law had a beach house down there when I was a kid. Where all those high rise condos are was nothing but sand dunes. There was one state park that I can remember. But you could just park anywhere go over the dunes set up and have a whole day with your family and friends and not see another person. It was sublime. Still pretty down there though, but nothing compared to what it used to be.
That sounds like it must have been incredible. I often seek out the remote beaches but they are becoming harder to find all the time. Thanks so much for visiting my channel.🙂🍀

You definitely want to try the Flora-Bama when the Mullet Toss is happening!
Just took out my Minelab Vanquish for the first time. Your videos are fun to watch and I got a lot of techiniques from them, especially the use of the pinpointer. Hunted for 45 minutes or so at a playground with wood chips under the equipment. Found 5 pennies a dime and a quarter along with the usual trash foil, metal strip, etc. and one mystery item. Keep up the fun informational videos.

Hi Gin, I really enjoy your metal detecting video's. Being a person who has enjoyed this same hobby for many years and have bought and used many different metal detectors over those years, I've learned something that might be of help to you. If you learn how to detune your detector over the target , it will help you pinpoint it much quicker and save you a lot of digging or scooping. I look forward to more of your video's.

Dolphin pendant….a Californian was there, they are everywhere 😤 ….Fisher Cap, silver ring, nice find…..you could use a sling or shoulder strap for one of those tools. i live here and hit the beach frequently, glad to see you had some great finds. i've been using a minelab V540 but going to try a Notka Gold Kruzer early some morning. the beach gets packed by 0800. there are a few local women who detect out here. next time you're back we all should have lunch.

I started out with a Garrett Ace 250 (ha ha ha!) many years ago, but from what I see, the most successful hunters use Deus ll or Mantacor. We both have hit many of the same beaches but now I can't wait to go back and try better equipment. Happy hunting!

Great to see you in my home state and favorite beach area, you missed the mullet toss this weekend. I stay at the comfort inn by the hang out found a lot at night. Hope you come back down around the 4th of July. Unbelievable what you might find.
A mullet toss? Oh, I’m gonna have to google this and see what I missed.🤣. I’ll definitely be back, though not quiet sure when. In May I’m heading out on a Wild West tour and will be on the road for quite a while. Thanks for the tip about the 4th - I’ll keep that in mind.🙂🍀

I used to go to Gulf Shores and spend all day surf hunting with my Sand Shark PI detector before trying to make my way back to my vehicle. Let me tell you, I was slap worn out tired when I finally got back to my car. When I got back to my car, it was way past dark and I would get in the car and open up my ice chest and get a few snacks and drink a couple soft drinks and generally rest and recuperate a while before cranking up and heading away from the beach. It was an adventure for sure, but Lordy Mighty I was sure glad when I finally got to lay down and rest for the night.

Did a big bounce to the mountains of Vermont ---- still waterfront though. Lots of places to detect up here; figure out where they put the hammock, then pick up the spills.

That definitely was a clean beach........ not much trash at all. I am sure the beaches will get much better for hunting as the weather warms up and more depositors visit the beach.
