- WHAT A DAY!! New farm permission LOADED with COINS. Mark discovered where a store once stood on an 1877 Map. He talked with the owners and received permission for us to explore the property to find where exactly the store was. Didn't take us long before we hit an iron patch close to the road in front of the old farm house. We started off finding modern clad coins. Once we slowed down and worked the iron patch the site LIT UP! We found so many old coins. One of our best coin hunts EVER! Everything from Large Cents and Indian Head Cents to Multiple Old Silver Coins. It was coin Overload! Completely Virgin. Something very Rare these days. These places are still out there! Good luck finding them.

My 6 year daughter and I love watching your videos! She is so excited about metal detecting and watching your show and since watching your channel over the last year or so, she decided to start her own TH-cam channel (with my limited help and supervision of course - I’m still trying to fully understand some of the video editing techniques and upload mess (you make it look too easy,; although I know now it is not)). We have a lot to learn and we appreciate the time you spend teaching us the history of what you and your amazing circle of friends dig up.
This hunt reminds me of my early years of metal detecting. I purchased my first metal detector in 1985. At that point in time there were still lots of virgin sites in my home town. If I didn't come home with at least 5-6 silver coins I thought I had a bad day. Oh how I miss those days. Congrats guys and thanks for sharing this hunt with us !!!

*FYI: For upcoming "bug season", (I live in the Delta and 12 mi from MS River), the best mosquito repellant I've used is: "Vick's Salve" , the other is Thieve's Oil.*
I would much rather rub one of these on and reapply as needed, than apply Chemicals to my skin.
Also, if in an area where campfire is necessary, *"use Cedar Wood".* All insects are repelled, at varying degrees, by Cedar Wood Oil, Lemon Oil, Citrus Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Rosemary/Lavender/Oregano/Peppermint/Tea Tree/Pine/Cedar Oils, and Smoke. Thus Thieve's Oil works well.
Also, I wear light-weight, well-worn denim, or cotten long-sleeve skirt, and if especially high temps, oversized shirt, and that helps considerably.
*Note to ladies:* they feed right through leggings and nylon boot socks, so opt for light-weight khaki or denim slacks.
In the South we have lil pests called "chiggers" that get on any exposed areas, AND will go right through cotton socks thus your Ankles require extra Vick's. If you get these they plant their eggs just below top derma layer and itch for 2 months. Must cover each bite with clear nail polish to smother the undesirables.
Bragg' s Apple Cider Vinegar and fresh Lemon Juice help relieve the itching.
Clearly a subject that can cause interference with fun. They breed in standing water and the chiggers are in grass, ticks most often drop out of trees, so shaded areas are worse.
These "auromatic products" may be initially undesirable, but that fades when you are focused on having some fun or getting some work done.
Just have a cocktail and you be just fine. (Irish Girl)

Coin shooting is very popular in the park across the street. I keep it interesting by burying foreign coins. I watch them dig and scratch their heads.

Awesome finds guys, I love all Barber coins, they look so good when they're as nice as that 1892, i love seeing history be saved.
I had a feeling you would cut this film into two parts. You should check out a lot of old maps for stores from the 17 and 1800’s. I really enjoyed this video. It would be like finding an old undisturbed pile of garbage with a lot of old bottles that somehow remained intact. That was always a joy for me. I can’t wait for part two to be up. love hearing others fish the coinstar return slot! last year i got 15 silver dimes and countless foreign coins over the 2020 year. best ever, i was using one and jammed up the machine. worker opened it up and cleaned out the internal reject bin and handed the contents to me saying THESE can’t be counted. upon looking in my hand, there was 4 ike dollars, 2 walking half dollars, and 3 morgan silver dollars!!!! i told her they weren’t mine but she said keep them. makes you wonder what those guys find when they open those machines up????? man i’d love to know.
