I feel your pain! All these gorgeous 38mm watches that my wallet is pining for, but they look like a toy on my wrist... glad this helps you out (and glad to know there are more of us out there).
@ Dude seriously thank you for making this video! As you’re well aware, trying to find a watch channel that caters to guys like us, is virtually impossible, so finding yours is amazing. The Essence 43 has actually been on my want list for a solid year or so now, hopefully I can snag one soon.
Victorinox Swiss Army INOX is an amazing and more original alternative to a G Shock, and also worth considering the Certina DS Action Diver. Both great watches and built like tanks. 👍
Oh yeah… 8.5 inch wrist. Like 40mm and higher in diameter watches. I got a 42mm drive watch (Christmas Gift to me) from Long Island Watch for $200 and no date function and Seiko movement. 😎 Yep got the Lunar Pilot, perfect 👌. Note their are metal bracelet from Long Island Watch, just plug in your your Lunar Pilot model number, there are four different bracelets.
My favorite watch is the 45mm Seiko LX Springdrive . The tiny watch trend has deprecated this GPH winner and I picked up the rare (500) made sea moss textured dial at half RRP for $3000 in titanium It's a big watch , even for my 8 inch wrists, but has that Seiko cushion magic and feels light . The movement in a tool watch Is perfect , as I would rarely wear a Grand Seiko as they are too dressy. This is the Rolls Royce of the MM300 .. Most reviewers have itsy bitsy wrists so happy to subscribe
I need to go take a look at this one! Will be in the market in the next month or two and have no clue what I want, but I’m looking in that 2k-3k price range. A spring drive would be incredible!
our tastes are very similar. this is like a shopping list. I've got about half of those below $1k. glad i found your channel!
I'm glad you found the channel, too (as long as you don't blame me for excess spending)!
As someone that is the exact same size as you, this video is everything!! I have an 8” to 8.25” wrist size, depending on weather.

the silver lining is my watch purchasing is slower now.
That's a good way to look at it!

Why you gotta cost me money like that?! 😂
Good tip on the bracelet, though… thanks!
@@MikeyTown13 Some day I’ll get a Omega watch myself. Just opened a new Omega boutique right next to me.

I have an 8" wrist, a 40mm square or 42mm+ for round cased watches look good, anything else looks like a childs watch.
I second this motion!
Actually tried on a Tag Heuer Monaco recently. The 39mm square case looked really good.
Citizen ‘Ecozilla’ (48mm), Sinn U212 (47mm), Panerai PAM00422 (47mm), Doxa Sub 1500T (45mm). Don’t mess around, go big or go home.
Great adds!!!!!
Strangely enough, my wrist doesn't follow 'trends'.
Under 40mm just doesn't work for me.
We have very un-trendy wrists. 😉
