Welcome to Mikey Town!
My name is Mike. I'm Cassie's Husband, Hayleigh's and Anthony's Dad, and we welcome you along for the ride. Our family loves Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Theme Parks, Baseball, Food, Drinks of all kinds, and a few other things as well (not necessarily in that order).
I own a video content agency and the vast majority of my work is spent creating video for businesses to use in their marketing efforts. While I love what I do, it leaves me craving a fun creative outlet... this channel is that creative outlet. I look forward to taking you along on our adventures, providing reviews of food and experiences, and chatting about the things that we love (and some things we don't) from the perspective of a family man in his 40s, living in Southern California.

Sugess Chronograph - Fantastic AND Affordable!
This Sugess Chronograph might be the cheapest mechanical chronograph I've ever seen... but it doesn't feel that way!
- Movement
- Colorway
- Accuracy
- Strap
Everything here seems to exceed expectations.
I paid $130, and while prices fluctuate, if you can find it for under $200, I think it's a great pickup. Not bad for my first AliExpress purchase, either.

For sure will be my next watch, Thank you for all the details
My pleasure… you won’t regret it!
Love the watch, 8 times more accurate than standard quartz. Plan to get the same watch color.
It’s such an enjoyable wear! I often get compliments and questions from Rolex wearers. 😉
Is winding the crown smooth or hard?
It’s a smooth wind and the tension builds as it gets closer to fully wound.
OMG. That's basically a gift. ❤
Is it heavy on the wrist? Thinking of getting it?
It is. I might have believed you if you told me it was white gold. Picked up rubber, sailcloth, and nato straps to have some lighter options to play around with.
@@MikeyTown13 what’s your wrist size?
8 in (20 cm)
@@MikeyTown13 mined is 7.48 in (19cm) it will fit me right?
Absolutely. I could see being concerned if your wrist was 6.5 inches, but at 7.5 you should be just fine.
nice prs!
Love thiss
Good looking watch!
I'm curious if it got alot of wrist time =) ?
It did… and still does! It’s my preferred watch for when I’m doing anything active, and it happens to look great with jeans, so I wear it quite a bit!
As a corporate partner, CITIZEN will provide the Super Titanium™ technology for a lunar landing planned for 2021 and a lunar surface exploration planned for 2023. For the HAKUTO-R programme, ispace is independently developing a lunar lander and a lunar rover to explore the surface of the moon. Super Titanium™ from CITIZEN will be used in both vehicles.
That Super Titanium might have a bit flamboyant name - but it's really no joke. There are articles about it around the net, so you can look them up. Start by searching this: "CITIZEN cooperates with ispace and provides the Japanese start-up with Super Titanium™ technology for its HAKUTO-R lunar exploration programme."
I have a Gbd-200 and a Gbx-100. Both great watches and the display is absolutely amazing. Basic interface for any user, the only thing missing is an audible alarm at all hours. 😊
That little “beep-beep” on the hour is charming.
would you recommend it as a daily use? is the resin strap really comfortable on the wrist? well some of the reviews says there something in the strap that makes uncomfortable. Thanks in advance 🙂
Yes and yes! I’ve found it very comfortable. I know that wrists come in all shapes and sizes, though, so I can only speak for myself.
I refuse to pay more than a thousand for a watch. Technology regarding not just power source and movement but also materials has caught up to and surpassed the old elite expensive luxurious watches. A Rolex or insert whatever expensive watch is easily beat out but numerous sub $1,000 watches in today’s market. Now if you’re buying the more so expensive high end watches for namesake, artistry, or something just admit that and I’m fine with.

For those of us who like titanium and quartz and perhaps atomic and other stuff - Citizen are the best.
The Casio AE1200WH, also widely known as the Casio Royale, has a modding community that has embraced this inexpensive copy of a Seiko G757, which was worn by Roger Moore in the 1983 James Bond movie Octopussy and turned it into a bit of a subculture of it's own. I have a AE1200WH-1A that I've easily taken apart, scrubbed almost ALL that janky-looking lettering off except for the Casio name with 91% Isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip, then filled the case with silicone oil before reassembly and I replaced the band with a really nice blue leather with tan twine stitching, Ritche watchband I paid $20 for on Amazon. It's so cool! I get a LOT of compliments on it and it's actually a much more interesting conversation piece because of what it is, than the same common Rolex you see all the time that needs no introduction.
Now it’s like a 4 years old toy. Original 💯
Great review bro. Keep up the great work
Okay, 5 seconds into the video and I'm subscribing just because you are rocking a baseballism hat, let alone talking about watches. 🔥

In the UK, The NPL broadcasts a dedicated time signal that provides accurate and reliable atomic time. Available 24 hours a day across the UK and beyond, the MSF radio signal carries accurate time and date information that is received and decoded by Acctim radio controlled clocks and watches. The MSF signal is transmitted from Anthorn Radio Station in Cumbria.
I think this ben yar watch is only available in the India only
I ordered it in America, so it’s definitely not India only.
Yeah! The Casio Royale is a smart piece of time keeping. In all its standard Casio variants its great. But when its modded it becomes a next level watch. Watch snobs probably don't like it simply because it ain't valued at thousands of $/£/€ etc. I personally perfer the AE1300 which is virtually identical. My only criticism is that the lung width is 18mm. 20 mm would be better & I'm surprised SKX mods hasn't addressed that with Their metal cases , meaning an adapter is still required for a wider strap. 🍸 Cheers
Can anyone explain this: The Precisionist movement seems to be unique to Bulova. Grand Seiko is the only other watchmaker to produce a sweeping second hand with its even more precise Spring Drive. But, and here's my question, when it comes to AA battery powered wall clocks, sweeping second hands are ten-a-penny. I have several of them, most of them very cheap, all with that buttery smooth second hand. I *assume* Bulova has a patent on the tech for wristwatches, but it doesn't cover wall clocks? Any other explanation? It surely *can't* be that other watchmakers just can't be bothered to use this tech?! But every clock maker does (and brags about it in their listings). Or, is the wall clock sweeping second hand tech different to Bulova's? Any thoughts?
To my understanding, the tech is different. The Precisionist sweep appears so smooth because the second hand is beating 16 times/second. The Spring Drive movement has a completely different escapement and produces a true smooth sweep. It’s not beating… it’s sweeping. It’s also not battery powered like the Precisionist. I don’t know how the wall clocks work, but I made a clock a few years ago and used one of these movements in it. I think it was $11 on Amazon. 😂
@@MikeyTown13 Cheers Mikey. I think you're right about the different tech: I've filmed my 262 KHz Bulova (a Sea King) using my phone's slo-mo, and can pretty clearly count the sixteen ticks per second. Filming a wall clock in slo-mo it looks to me to be more continuous, possibly totally fluid like a Spring Drive? Maybe the tech in those clocks can't be shrunk down to wristwatch size? Anyway, I love the Bulova movement so much that, after watching your video, I ordered a Jet Star; it's due to arrive this afternoon...
I noticed that the color isn't as bright as it shows on video, good thing you spoke about this. But you say it's available in tons of colors??? is 3 colors tons of colors to you??? You might want to explain that one...
I see 7 colors, not including this one, on the gshock website.
@@MikeyTown13 They're pretty hard to find them all, I can only find 6 at the moment.
I also see 8 colors, including this one, readily available on Amazon for various prices. Not sure where you’re located, but this isn’t a tough to find watch.
@@MikeyTown13 It's quite messy on the Casio official website here in the Netherlands I guess.
That may be the case. I’ve never actually ordered direct from the Casio website.
I just bought it! Very sharp looking watch, I preferred it in "moon" color (vs blue, which I also saw and considered). This has a lot packed in, and I got it at a great discount at a major department store. These are hard to find, but get one if you find it.
If you find one on discount, this watch is an absolute no-brainer!
12:00 This is not any "solid watch design" (in the sense of the Sugess project) because it is a simple COPY or, if you prefer, THEFT of the watch design (not the mechanism) Breitling Top Time Deus Limited Edition
No argument there… it’s absolutely a top time copy. Personally, I don’t mind stuff like that as long as the company uses their own branding and isn’t competing in/near the same price bracket as the original… but that’s just me.
Which is better, the all black on resin or the silver on bracelet? I like the look of the silver, I’m just worried I will hate the cheap bracelet.
“Better” is subjective. It’s all personal preference. Best bet is to order from somewhere with a return policy. If you hate the bracelet, return it and order the black one.
Sugess on AliExpress took money from a lot of purchasers on this, told them they couldn't fulfill the order, and refunded them blaming parts issues, the platform...all sorts of excuses if you look on forums. I was one of them and TBH I would think twice about buying from Sugess again. You don't see this with Berny for example.
The fact that I put mines on the amplitude machine at work and it showed 0 beat error , 300 m/s and +/- 0.0. Dare I say it runs better than a rolex , only thing i can compare to is ulysse nardin which is the world's most accurate wrist watch Absolutely wild
Seriously?! Those are insane numbers for any mechanical movement!
@MikeyTown13 I agree which is why I had to share the story , my colleagues and watchmaker couldn't believe what the monitor was displaying. The client came in to watch store and ended up selling 3 associates on the brand lol hence how I'm here now
“Low quality Chinese movement” 😂
Incredible value for money 👌🏽
Agreed!
Awesome. I have this watch. I might do this.
I like the idea of the watch. How the lume on the watch?
Not great. Present, but it’s definitely not a dive watch.
Yeah my Rolan eco-drive watch has weak lume, hope they fix that in the future.
Unfortunately not available here in Dubai.
How strange!
How long does Sugess on Ali take to ship? Seems like half the time on Ali w multiple sellers the watch never ships and you have to go through the long refund process.
This one took a couple weeks to ship. I purchased from the Sugess store on aliexpress, so I was pretty confident it would get here.
@@MikeyTown13 ok thanks for the info
I bought this one and the limited Attesa gold also. The Attesa is much more beautiful. But the normal one is my daily watch.
Additional: I love the automatic moon phase. That is a new chapter for watches
It really is a great everyday wear!
One suggestion @MikeyTown... Please put some tape or cellophane on those caliper blades before hitting your polished case with them 😮
Looks great. What is the total cost of the mods?
Strap - $20 Strap Adapters - $12 (I think) Glue - $6 Colored plastic - $10 (I already had them) So $40-$50 depending on what you have laying around.
@@MikeyTown13 Nice 👍
I got mine yesterday. Really happy with the price I got it for! But it’s strange, when I try to handwind it (clockwise or to the right), I don’t get any resistance? It just reverts back. Then if it’s counterclockwise or to the left, I hear some gears. It’s really unlike any of the other mechanical watches I own where it just winds up like normal.
It’s the smoothest wind I’ve felt in a movement, too. No sounds, no feel, no nothing… but it does wind that way and run with no problems. It sure is a strange winding feeling, though.
@@MikeyTown13 okay, good to know that you have a similar experience too. It's really strange. When I handwind my other watches, there's always that play or resistance or feeling that something is actually getting wound. With this, I don't know when to stop. I probably won't push it. I'll try again when the power reserve is fully used up. Thanks for your review! Still enjoying the watch a lot!
It's NOT that good. It LOOKS good. But it's as worthless as an Invicta. It's an automatic that is cheaper to throw away then service. And No one would service a chinese junk movement anyway. Keep lying to yourself though. The people you want to impress deep down know better... and the ones who act impressed don't actually even know what they are looking at.
Well… it’s not an automatic. And I don’t wear watches to impress others. I wear them to enjoy for myself. I suggest you do the same.
You can buy 5 of them, minimum, for the price of servicing one Swiss chronograph. I didn't see how that's a bad thing. I own 7 or 8 watches with this movement and I've only had a slight problem with one - the reset pusher -- (I bought it used and I think it came with the issue). I've find every other one of them to be very sturdy and reliable. Have you ever owned one?
Not only that, you could make the “cost of servicing” argument for almost any Seiko or Miyota movement you find in hundreds of micro-brand watches. I don’t see anyone knocking the quality of those… just touting their reliability. It’s all good. Hopefully they’re having a better day today.
I own $5k swiss watches and $250 San Martin's. I wear what i like and what impresses me. No one notices or cares that you have a high end luxury watch or a $200 Ali brand watch. Wear what makes you happy.
You clearly need validation from others..
Hi ! I just subscribed to your channel. I put likes on your videos. I look forward to see some interesting stuff on watches, etc. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Montréal, Québec !👋
Much appreciated… thank you!
I got the blue one (not the schwarz-rot-gold- this is awkward for a German) and I like this watch a lot. Fresh colours for summer wear...no complain at all.
Yes! This is a perfect summer watch!
I bought on one of these in the Ali Express sale at the end of March and it is amazing. I paid £95 GBP. I have two watches now with ST Movements, and they are a joy to behold, they are so beautiful. If you can get one on offer, then I suggest that you do so. The other think with this watch is that is works with so many strap designs and strap colours.
A joy, indeed! And you’re right… almost any strap would look great on this.
What about its battery life in practical?
Only time will tell, but since I don’t have this connected to Bluetooth, I’d expect it to last 3-5 years.
@@MikeyTown13 nice videos though
I got one over 2 years ago and it was over £200!
I caught a really good aliexpress sale! That said, I’d be happy even if I paid $300-$400. Heck… Sea-Gull sells quite a few watches with this movement in the $600-$800 range.
It is a great watch, but $130 is an absolute steal 👌
Agreed!
wow looks so good, love the color combo!! got one myself and added a red film for the whole screen and erased the black top and bottom texts on the case for a more simpler look, currently manning myself up to fill the darn thing with oil.
Nice review and a great watch - you just helped Citizen sell one more!:)
Enjoy! I’m still loving this thing! You hear that, Citizen? I sold one for you. You have to send me something else to review now, right? Is that not the deal? 😂
Nice watch. Time to save beer cans.
They had me until the case size. 43 mm is too big, unless you are an invicta fan.
I’m not an Invicta fan at all… just have an 8” wrist. Love the way this wears.
I bought one of these today and it wears much more like a 41, looks good on my 16.5cm wrist with no overhang.
That’s great to know! All I have is my gorilla-sized wrist to go off of. Nice to hear from someone with a more common wrist size on this one.
Color fade problem?
This watch has a skeleton dial… not sure what color would fade. 🤷♂️
