Human-Centered Interior Design
Honda’s outstanding interior packaging results in ample head, leg, shoulder and hip room for all passengers. A feeling of spaciousness is immediately felt and shared by all Civic occupants, thanks to the low, flat beltline and uncluttered design throughout its cabin.
The pulled-back A-pillars, low hood, flat dashboard and hidden windshield wipers enable a windshield with clearly defined corners for a panoramic view. The low cowl is the same height as the door sills for an uninterrupted and harmonious flow that extends from the dash all the way to the rear doors. The outside mirrors also have been positioned away from the windshield pillars to improve visibility.
Further improving visibility is the top of the Civic’s instrument panel, which has been designed with minimum cutlines to reduce windshield reflections and visual distractions.
A striking metal honeycomb mesh accent stretches from door to door across the dash. It serves both form and function, creating a dramatic visual dividing line between the audio, information displays and the climate controls, while the intricate flow-through design conceals the air vents that would otherwise mar the uncluttered and harmonious look of the dash.
High-quality materials are used throughout the interior, especially on touchpoints, with close attention paid to the operation of all switchgear and controls. Materials were also chosen with an eye toward practicality, such as the new premium center console trim specifically designed to hide fingerprints and smudges to help maintain a high-end appearance.
All Civic trims benefit from a new front seat design. Using Honda’s Body Stabilizing Seat approach, the new-generation seat frame firmly holds the body, enhancing comfort on long drives.
Civic Touring also debuts an all-new 9-inch color touchscreen, which builds upon the foundation laid by the Display Audio system in Honda models such as Accord, Odyssey, Pilot and Passport. The new touchscreen is the largest ever in any Honda-brand vehicle, and features a physical volume knob, large, easy-to-recognize icons, and a simplified navigation structure with fewer embedded menus. On the left are hard buttons for Home and Back functions.

Great looking vehicle, especially in Touring trim. Finally a Civic for adults.
Pictures doesn't do the new civic any justice. When it was released officially, I thought it was boring as hell in the looks department but I saw one today in person for the first time and buy was I wrong. It's a very nice looking car.
It still looks outdated to me… that sucks because I’m between the Kia Forte or civic and the forte has more of a premium feel and wireless apple car play.

@@tais7552 Personally, the Forte looks horrible in my opinion. I can't speak for which has better options since I'm not in the market for either. But one thing is for certain, depreciation is gonna be a huge factor with the kia. Trading it in a few years from now compared to trading in a comparable civic, you definitely gonna lose a lot more on the kia.

I just ordered a Sport hatchback for my wife. She’s driven manual her whole life, but asked for a cvt this time because of a left knee injury that’s becoming more frequently troublesome as the years go by. Maybe I’ll replace my own car with a manual Civic Sport Hatchback in a year or two from now.

@@xMaxLoverx1 Yes from dealership. Deliveries were showing up as I was test driving one. Decided to get a red one. It had less than 2 miles on it from them moving it from the truck to their detail shop.

I know a Civic Sport when I see one. The exhaust tip can be seen in a straight position where it should be placed under the bumper. If your exhaust tip curves down, most likely your car is a hybrid.

Hey Mike, the LX too has Sport, normal & Eco Mode rt? Only difference is the Sport mode is on the stick while eco is set with a button. When the stick is in D its in the normal mode. Wonder why it couldn't be the same across all models.🤔

I always appreciate the drive over in the beginning. Shows how much underbody panel the manufacturer used, in this case not as much which will result in lower mpg and higher noise.

It seems like they cut some stuff from the 2022 Sport compared to the 2021. :( I like the interior design but wish it had the leatherette center armrest as well as door armrests. It’s one of the things that made me choose the ‘21 Sport over the ‘21 EX.
ikr! it seems like they cheapened the interior materials in trims below the touring grade. as far as i can remember, the ‘17 civic in the sport/ex-t trim gives you fog lights and air vents in the back. disappointing.

Hi what’s the difference between putting the sport model on sport & putting the 2022 civic EX on the S mode using the shifter?
Sport mode changes the way that the CVT “shifts” in auto mode. It simulates gear changes and will let the engine rev higher (closer to redline) even when “shifting” with the paddle shifters. Sport mode also makes the engine more responsive to the accelerator pedal and slightly firms up the suspension. You will experience less fuel economy while using the car in sport mode.

@@2004cyrus I get that but instead of the EX-L trim on the civic getting a turbocharged 4 cylinder it should of been the sport trim and including the fact that it’s higher then EX-L more features would be added and price would be either the same as EX-L or a lil bit higher.

About 3 month with mine and a few things I dislike. And they’re not too bad just inconveniences.
1. Only 2 cup holders. None for the people in the back.
2. Nowhere to store my sunglasses, had to buy my own clip and put on my visor.
3. The idle stop you have to turn off every single time you shut off your car and restart it if you don’t want it, kind of annoying.
4. The mirrors on the visor don’t have a light, my girlfriend, whenever she has to use it at night has to turn on the headlamps and they are bright, white led lights so it’s a bit distracting.
And I don’t think it’s too bad too but the sensors on the seats are a little too sensitive. I might have some groceries on the seats and it’ll think someone is sitting there and the seat belt alarm thing will come on.

Look, I saw your video about the Honda Civic LX, you made a great video, but I'm unhappy with the fact that Honda makes the same car, but putting them all black and saying that the car is Sport, it's absurd to pay more for the same entry car just because it has a black wheel and a Sport symbol
You're basically paying for the logo. Just like, (Iphone, Harley Davidson, Colt) paying for name branding.
Look, Volkswagen does the same thing with the R-Line Package. It’s just aesthetics. Nothing new here, some call it an appearance package. People like paying a little more for style.
Not the same car. Features that the Sport has over the LX: 18” wheels, switchable Sport-Mode, Paddle Shifters for CVT equipped Sports, Manual Transmission available for Sport Hatchback, wider 235/40R18 tires, blacked out door mirrors, 60/40 split folding backseat in Sport Hatchback (not sedan), remote engine starting, and an 8 speaker sound system. Get the hatchback if you want the most Civic Sport for your dollars. And if that’s too much money for your budget, you can always keep your old car and soup it up, or buy a used car that has everything that you want.

Honda doesn't put a traditional auto in a Civic...its all CVT's or a stick.
The Sport sedan is available with the CvT only. The Sport Hatchback will be available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or with a CVT and paddle-shifters behind the steering wheel.
