The all-new 2022 Honda Civic boasts a clean, modern design paired with a high-tech, human-centered interior, and equipped with advanced active and passive safety systems.
    What's New:
All-new simple, clean exterior and interior styling
Civic first all-digital LCD instrument display (Touring)
Standard new 7-inch color touchscreen with Apple CarPlay® & Android Auto™ integration
Available new HD 9-inch color touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® & Android Auto™ integration
Civic-first Bose premium sound system with 12 speakers (Touring)
    Qi-compatible wireless charging (Touring)
    Enhanced architecture and stronger body
More powerful and fuel-efficient 1.5-liter turbo engine
Updated suspension and steering tuning for improved handling and ride
Groundbreaking new front airbags designed to reduce traumatic brain and neck injuries
    Civic-first rear seat side airbags
Updated Honda Sensing® system with new front wide-view camera, plus new Traffic Jam Assist and Low Speed Braking Control (Touring)
A “thin and light” body design with a low hood and front fenders, and a low horizontal beltline grounds the body, accentuates the wheels and tires, and enables an expansive, airy greenhouse. Inside, the M/M approach results in a strikingly simple, clean and modern take on classic Civic values. By evoking the uncluttered cabin design of early generations of Civic, the new model’s interior features exceptional visibility, intuitive ergonomics, extraordinary passenger volume and driver-focused technology.
LED lighting is used extensively for the exterior, including the wide-set headlights, daytime running lights, parking lights, and available fog lights.
The Civic Sedan will be available in eight exterior colors, three of which are new: Meteorite Gray Metallic, Sonic Gray Pearl and all-new Civic-exclusive Morning Mist Blue Metallic.
    Human-Centered Interior Design
Honda’s outstanding interior packaging results in ample head, leg, shoulder and hip room for all passengers. A feeling of spaciousness is immediately felt and shared by all Civic occupants, thanks to the low, flat beltline and uncluttered design throughout its cabin.
The pulled-back A-pillars, low hood, flat dashboard and hidden windshield wipers enable a windshield with clearly defined corners for a panoramic view. The low cowl is the same height as the door sills for an uninterrupted and harmonious flow that extends from the dash all the way to the rear doors. The outside mirrors also have been positioned away from the windshield pillars to improve visibility.
Further improving visibility is the top of the Civic’s instrument panel, which has been designed with minimum cutlines to reduce windshield reflections and visual distractions.
A striking metal honeycomb mesh accent stretches from door to door across the dash. It serves both form and function, creating a dramatic visual dividing line between the audio, information displays and the climate controls, while the intricate flow-through design conceals the air vents that would otherwise mar the uncluttered and harmonious look of the dash.
High-quality materials are used throughout the interior, especially on touchpoints, with close attention paid to the operation of all switchgear and controls. Materials were also chosen with an eye toward practicality, such as the new premium center console trim specifically designed to hide fingerprints and smudges to help maintain a high-end appearance.
All Civic trims benefit from a new front seat design. Using Honda’s Body Stabilizing Seat approach, the new-generation seat frame firmly holds the body, enhancing comfort on long drives.
Civic Touring also debuts an all-new 9-inch color touchscreen, which builds upon the foundation laid by the Display Audio system in Honda models such as Accord, Odyssey, Pilot and Passport. The new touchscreen is the largest ever in any Honda-brand vehicle, and features a physical volume knob, large, easy-to-recognize icons, and a simplified navigation structure with fewer embedded menus. On the left are hard buttons for Home and Back functions. Music by Karl Casey

Way too much gloss black in the interior. Should've used that carbon fiber print from around the switchgear on the doors and around the gear shifter for all the gloss black bits in the interior, especially on the freaking steering wheel.

I’m probably the only one here that’s actually glad to see the CVT holding the rpms and droning away even after Honda mentioned programming changes to the CVTs in these. I cannot stand a CVT that mimics gear changes, which I’m sure this still does under full throttle, which is acceptable.

Acceleration momentum is not there. Don't get me wrong, I love Honda. I have had 5 Hondas and 1 Acura. I have also worked at a Honda and Acura dealer. So sad I may have to jump ship to another brand because of the CVT. Even the transmission shop hates them even thou they rebuild them.

Fanboys of the 10th gen will disagree, but Honda nailed the interior of the 11th gen. Seems they traded places with VW (hate the MK8 interior) who used to do actual black interiors while Honda was a darkish gray. Love the deep black of everything thats supposed to be black..and same shade on different materials which is difficult to do.

2nd only to Mazda now in interior and exterior design for a small 4 door sedan.
Although this looks totally identical to the accord that has been around for four years.
Mazda 3 and 6 look quite different. Still not too bad though.
No awd, or manual is interesting and surprising for Honda, I really thought the base models would have that options, as many will never ever ever buy a cvt, no matter how good they are now, , however the civic hatchback, civic type r, and si coming soon will make Honda perform much better, and be more fun, especially with the premium true independent rear suspension, and manual on some models.
With much better economy, great resale, and good reliability, however early civics with the 1.5, and crv's have had oil dilution problems, which is very unhonda like, mainly because they are known for bullet proof naturally aspirated engines not turbos, and there was a learning curve involved.

i want to get excited but, i cant, i have mix attracted on this 11th gen. exterior part; i like the front, but wish it has a small lip on it. i wish headlight would have mix diamond cut and projector in the middle, sport should at least have the fog light, projector or halogen. on the side view, i wish the back small window has a pointed style like the 10th gen. instead they made a small curve like infiniti did. interior is fine, dash board was elegant, the shifter could had been a push buttons like insight. just hate the fact sooner or later cleaning that honeycombs air bent would be difficult to clean. i wish they kept the design of armrest from 10th gen, i wish drive mode is a knob.

    • @firnenhoe2175

I would assume very good. 12 speakers in a compact car would probably sound very good

  • @richscott2483

plenty of cabin noise, other videos must have cancel noise/noise reduction filters on their microphone. My understanding Honda only attempt was to place a foamy plastic cover under the hood.
Crank up that 240 - 260 Watt 12 Speaker Bose system ... may be you won't hear the road and engine noise. Maybe there is some wind noise through the windshield and door too. Sounds like a helicopter landing or a motor boat launch.

The worst thing about the previous Civic was the fuel tank. It was so small that you barely can drive 500-510 kms. Fit this thing with a 60-62litres tank for gods sake... Let us have the benfeit of extended range.

@@MikesCarInfo the blurry roads kinda defeats the purpose of showing how it drives. i would bring the highlights down and lift the shadows. its a day shot so the iso still would be low so you shouldnt have much problem doing that edit. it should also give you a leverage on boosting iso when fstops are higher that will create less blurry roads. hope that helps
