Just took it on a 220 mile trip through the Colorado mountains. Impressed with the adaptive cruise control, worked like a charm. The CVT transmission was extremely efficient and averaged 43 mpg’s! Best I’ve ever had with any vehicle.
I’ve owned my 22 civic sport for 2 years and I just today was thinking I’ve never went through any of the settings. The car is so great I never even considered the fact there would be so many settings. This was so well paced and informative, thank you!! I’d definitely buy a car from you!

Hey Chris awesome video I was wondering if there is a feature that allows me to change the background display on the screen I’ve looked through all of the settings and can’t seem to find it which probably means it’s not possible. Considering you know more about Hondas thought I’d give it a shot and ask you. Also for those in the market earlier this year I picked up a Red 2022 Honda Civic Sport like the one in the video and honestly I don’t regret it at all. It’s a good car to have as a daily. And it has tons of cosmetics as well as other mechanics. I’ve received so many compliments in the time that I’ve had it. So I definitely recommend it 100% !!

hey chris got another great one, why when they did thisnew honda it doesnt show the thermostat on the car when its warming up all you see is an blue water temp icon once the car warmed up the it dissapears so tell me how if i can get it to show in the dash>

I usually use apple play but it’s got to be plugged in for that. I wish the normal screen like what would show for radio or Bluetooth could be changed. Hey Chris. My new Honda Civic 2022 sport model has consumed 17 let’s of fuel within first 120 kms only. Is this normal? I thought it was supposed to consume 8-9 Ltrs of fuel for 100 kms. What do u think ? It’s a brand new car I bought just over 2 weeks ago.
I have noticed myself that the first few tanks of fuel doesn't show the true fuel economy. I would encourage contacting you local Honda Dealership if this doesn't improve after you first three to four tanks. Thank you for watching.

hi chris, quick question. just bought my 2022 honda civic sport two days ago and only the left half the dashboard is lighting up and chiming when i get in and start the car. all lights work properly and no issues while driving. it’s strictly only when i sit inside and start up the car that only half of the dash lights up with the honda symbol. any advice on how to fix it? thank you!

I just got a 2022 Civic Hatchback Sport, love the car, but cannot figure out the display system on the left hand side behind the wheel, so many options, manual just kicks you around page to page, do you have a tips on using that, setting it up? There's a little bar in the middle of mine that is doing something but I have no idea what. Love this video by the way, dealership went through some of these things but so fast I didn't retain it all. Also, two things, I keep seeing things that say use arrow up or down, but I see no arrows anywhere. Right above the select wheel there's a button with a white line on it. What is that for? Button with white line is volume control Little white bar is the fuel effeceny meter when it’s green you are being effecient to scroll up when you see an up or down arrow then use the wheel to go up or down

The Honda civic doesn't have a hybrid options. The compact hybrid sedan is called the Honda Insight which is base off the 2021 Honda Civic platform with its own twist. Thank you for watching!

Great video, we just purchased ours in silver and it's beautiful. One thing we're having trouble with is backing out of the settings menu. We can't figure out how to get the display back on. Using the back arrow just takes us to the previous settings. There seems to be no way to change the settings and back out of settings to show the display. Hitting the home button doesn't work, hitting the back button just takes you to the previous settings menu. We noticed at the end of your video the display was still showing the menu options you had chosen.
Never mind, my brilliant husband figured it out. You have to go back all the way to the home menu, then select either the "Range & fuel" or "Speed & time" to get out of the settings menu into the display. Those are the only two options that take you to the display without showing you menu options.
Just purchased the sport model, the custom display in the settings screen doesn’t seem to change anything, is that normal or am I just missing something?
The Idle-stop doesn't engage every time. Here are a few examples when it does NOT. The Auto Idle Stop OFF button is pressed. The driver's seat belt is not fastened. The engine coolant temperature is low or high. The transmission fluid temperature is low or high.. Thank you for your support and watching
It also depends on the amount of pressure you use on the brake pedal. Didn't go looking for it, but I discovered if you come to a complete stop while keeping light pressure, idle-stop will not engage and it will give the usual alert. Push down a bit harder and it should kick-in. However, if it doesn't engage with full pressure, swing by Honda Services and have them take a look, it may cost a bit, but money is a small price to pay for safety.
Just depends on how you like to drive the vehicle. I used econ for our Highway driving but turn it off during the hot summer days because it effects the cold air (AC). Usually, our CRV is just in normal mode for our city driving.

Yes, while in accessory mode. Without your foot on the brake, push the start button once or twice if you like the fan controls on as well. The third time shuts off the vehicle.

i just bought 2022 Honda Civic Sport Sedan and Everytime I go out of my car with the engine running(to go somewhere near) the alarm goes off and when i look at the dash, it says “keys not detected”, so how do you stop that and keeps the keys detected everytime?
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 yes, it’s always on my pocket when i get out while the engine is running. I do that bc theres really no reason to leave the fob inside the vehicle and its also for safety
@@tsar2057 the vehicle is doing what it was programed to do. It's letting you know that you're vehicle is on when you're walking away from it. I haven't found a away to turn that off yet.

Double check that the remote start feature is enable. Confirmed that the second fob is NOT in the vehicle as well. Double tab lock then hold the remote start button for a few seconds. Congratulations on your new Honda Civic!!

It just comes down to the unit you have there. I would google the unit and should work the same even if it's showing on a Accord or another model

The Honda Civic does have a fuel efficiency light (green bar above the digital speed) that appears when you're being a fuel efficient driver.
Just got 2023 love it . Just wondering why the red light is on empty. I tried to put gas and it was full .
Below the line (which has the red), you will see the bars, which indicates how full the gas tank is.

The sport trim doesn't have Blind Spot, its available on the EX and Touring trims

The fuel range indicator is computer generated that will learn from your driving habits. It kind of follows the laws of average.

hi chris, quick question. just bought my 2022 honda civic sport two days ago and only the left half the dashboard is lighting up and chiming when i get in and start the car. all lights work properly and no issues while driving. it’s strictly only when i sit inside and start up the car that only half of the dash lights up with the honda symbol. any advice on how to fix it? thank you!
I think it’s because the left side is a screen and the right side is the speedometer. Mine does the same thing
@@tommys2030 i had the same thought too but when i originally bought the car, the whole screen would light up and do the chime before i started the car and now it’s only half
so im not sure what happened in the two days that i had it

So my dome lights do not automatically turn on whenever I open my car . Is there some way to fix that ? Its really hard to see the inside of my car especially at night .

I just got a 2022 Civic Hatchback Sport, love the car, but cannot figure out the display system on the left hand side behind the wheel, so many options, manual just kicks you around page to page, do you have a tips on using that, setting it up? There's a little bar in the middle of mine that is doing something but I have no idea what. Love this video by the way, dealership went through some of these things but so fast I didn't retain it all. Also, two things, I keep seeing things that say use arrow up or down, but I see no arrows anywhere. Right above the select wheel there's a button with a white line on it. What is that for? Little white bar is the fuel effeceny meter when it’s green you are being effecient
to scroll up when you see an up or down arrow then use the wheel to go up or down

There's NO setting to have the radio/media volume turn down when the vehicle is in reverse. You may just have to turn it down beforehand.

There should be a setting option. I would ask your salesperson to help locate this, it's easier to assist in person

Great video, we just purchased ours in silver and it's beautiful. One thing we're having trouble with is backing out of the settings menu. We can't figure out how to get the display back on. Using the back arrow just takes us to the previous settings. There seems to be no way to change the settings and back out of settings to show the display. Hitting the home button doesn't work, hitting the back button just takes you to the previous settings menu. We noticed at the end of your video the display was still showing the menu options you had chosen.
Never mind, my brilliant husband figured it out. You have to go back all the way to the home menu, then select either the "Range & fuel" or "Speed & time" to get out of the settings menu into the display. Those are the only two options that take you to the display without showing you menu options.

The Idle-stop doesn't engage every time. Here are a few examples when it does NOT. The Auto Idle Stop OFF button is pressed. The driver's seat belt is not fastened. The engine coolant temperature is low or high. The transmission fluid temperature is low or high.. Thank you for your support and watching
It also depends on the amount of pressure you use on the brake pedal. Didn't go looking for it, but I discovered if you come to a complete stop while keeping light pressure, idle-stop will not engage and it will give the usual alert. Push down a bit harder and it should kick-in. However, if it doesn't engage with full pressure, swing by Honda Services and have them take a look, it may cost a bit, but money is a small price to pay for safety.
lastly so its best to keep car in sports mode than eco and normal mode ?
Just depends on how you like to drive the vehicle. I used econ for our Highway driving but turn it off during the hot summer days because it effects the cold air (AC). Usually, our CRV is just in normal mode for our city driving.

Yes, while in accessory mode. Without your foot on the brake, push the start button once or twice if you like the fan controls on as well. The third time shuts off the vehicle.

i just bought 2022 Honda Civic Sport Sedan and Everytime I go out of my car with the engine running(to go somewhere near) the alarm goes off and when i look at the dash, it says “keys not detected”, so how do you stop that and keeps the keys detected everytime?

@@tsar2057 the vehicle is doing what it was programed to do. It's letting you know that you're vehicle is on when you're walking away from it. I haven't found a away to turn that off yet.

I got my new honda civic 2023. At start it shows economy of 600 km with full tank. But now it is showing only 446 with full tank. Its only 3400 km old car
