There are no vocals because I made the whole track from scratch. I programmed the drums and recorded the bass and 1st guitar so that I could play along to it like a backing track. :)
whoa what a coincidence i was actually going to buy a war beast infact i was looking at a warbeast like 10 minutes thanks now i now what it sounds like love it!!!
@KTM5001 Around £165, which if you ask me is an absolute steal!! The build quality is amazing, the humbuckers are the best I've ever used and the fret board plays really REALLY fast! :)
Cheers dude! :D I used a Line 6 Uber Metal pedal for my tone. It's just the straight sound from the pedal with nothing else added except for a little reverb in the solo. :)
dude......AWESOMEEEEEE!!!!! how tha fuuck did you figured this song out?? This is the most accurate cover of this song i've seen on youtube dude and btw luv ur guitar ;)
@guitarshredder61 Thanks amillion! :D Well i made the backing track as i had to perform this for college. And i recorded guitar going through a line 6 Uber Metal pedal into a tonecore gearbox USB interface and recorded into cubase :D
@Growlbene More like dropdead EVERYTHING in the background XD I'm a tad obsessed :/ haha. Cheers man!! Glad you can appreciate the quality, it took me a while to get it decent! :)
I'm sorry, I didn't use a tab to learn this song so not sure if there is a good one anywhere. :( And thank you very much for your kind words, probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my guitar playing. :) x
@KTM5001 For high gain metal songs I would say that block pickups would be the best yes :) These pickups are BC Rich standard pickups and they're the nicest pickups I've ever played with! :)
@skaterdude1213 I have no idea sorry. Never used a gibson or fender tuner. They're both be good established makes and they're chromatic so i'm guessing they will both be pretty good :)
Hi there. It's just 3 fret / minor 3rd hammer ons. :) Play 7 on the 4th string, hammer on to 10. Then play 8 on the 3rd string and hammer on to 11. Then start the whole process again only a fret higher: Play 8 on the 4th string and hammer on to 11. Then play 9 on the 3rd string and hammer on to 12. Keep repeating this going up one fret each time. That's all there is to it. I hope this helped. :) (Btw it's bit awkward because the riff is in quarter notes and the drums are playing triplets, so they don't quite match up. )
@WithACutOfTheThroat THAT'S AWESOME!!! :D I'm so glad people are using it for that! I'll have to find a way of putting the track up for download for vocal covers. :)
@WokeUpScreaming It may be better to tune your strings C#, F#, B, E, G#, C#. As this will be the standard tuning equivelant of Drop B. So just tune the low C# down a full tone when you're playing in Drop B. Also, your intonation will need adjusting once you have put your guitar into this tuning.
Just checked it out and his technique is spot on, can't fault his playing at all, however, you can hear that alot of the notes that he's playing don't sound right so he's probably worked it out wrong. I'm always getting requests to do Pray For Plagues. Might do it someday soon, see if I can work it out. :) Cheers! :)
Hey man, awesome cover! Authentic sounds!! Btw, I recently got a Line 6 Toneport gearbox. I'm not too sure if this question has been asked and/or answered. But would you mind telling me what the effects you used to create this cover? I got an uber metal pedal, the effects are pretty simple for that. Lmao. Anyway, if ya could let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks.
@KittehFeeds If you mean the 'squeal' sound, it's called a pinched harmonic. Pic a note as normal but hit the edge of your picking thumb off the string when you pick the string with your plectrum. Watch my picking hand closely and you'll see. :) It takes a lot of practice though :( I reccomend playing a note on one of the lower pitched strings on te 5th or 3rd fret, and use lots of vibrato. :) Ash x
@crazymanny707070 I used a 'Line 6 Gearbox USB Interface' and a 'Line 6 Uber Metal Pedal'. That is all. :) Just took the time to get i good sound i spose! :)
i know! i just got a mockingbird and its beautiful and it sounds great also!!! amazing cover man! if only u lived in staten island we cud jam the fuck out...
@skaterdude1213 I'm not sure i understand this question sorry? Do you mean what guitars would suit lower tunings? anything with humbuckers and a long scale legth really :)
@JimiGuy7 Cheers! I have actually. I have a Marshall AVT 150 half stack re issue. And it sounds absolutely massive through a nice 4x12 in all honesty! You will have to tweak the eq on both the pedal AND the amp before you hit that sweet spot, and it might sacrifice your clean tone a little, but it will sound mega! You might have to take a little bass out of the pedal as some speakers will overload with the fat low end of this pedal, but other than that it should be awesome! :)
Because I used fl studio to program the drums but then found it hard to record into. So I exported it to wav, dumped it in cubase, and recorded the guitars in there. :)
@DaRkIsK No word of a lie, i know people think they're a bit 'gimmicky' because of their extreme shapes, but this is the nicest guitar i have ever played, and it's only £160!
Just spent alot of time on technique :) Try experimenting with where you pluck the string too, (nearer the neck pick up or nearer the bridge pickup) it makes a world of difference!
@cammyfootball1995 Thanks mate! My wall is pretty awesome ey? :) Well first of all you will need to buy yourself some heavy guage strings. I would suggest a 12 guage set of strings, or maybe an 11 if you have a longer scale length. You will need a chromatic tuner and tune your strings (from low to high) B, F#, B, E, G#, C#. If your ibanez has a floyd rose tremelo you will need to balance it again when you have set up the strings. I hope this helps :)
@KTM5001 For playing alone in your room give it a hell of a lot of bass, a moderate amount of treble, and scoop the mids by putting the mid at a very low level. And give it lots of gain! :D If playing with a band i would suggest rolling the bass off a little and boosting the mids. :)
Thanks a lot man! And to be honest, I completely agree with you on my tone. This was when I had really cheap crappy gear and not much experience with recording.
When you have practiced so hard to slay this song that u even started looking like lee malia
hahahaha 🤣
2023 and im proud to say this is one of the most cleanest guitar covers on youtube at this time 12 years ago
That is very much appreciated thank you 😁
There are no vocals because I made the whole track from scratch.
I programmed the drums and recorded the bass and 1st guitar so that I could play along to it like a backing track. :)
Fuckin talented!!
one of the best bmth covers out there
Ahh, back when BMTH was one of the best metal bands around
Your pinch harmonics are soo good I wish I could do do that
Jess Freeman Thank you just takes practice and try and resist the urge to dig in too hard that sometimes helps :)
Ok thx
keep coming back to this, it's absolutely brilliant.
great cover, lovely tunes in those early bmth songs
iwatched this religiously in highschool fast forward 6 years n im still jamming B)
whoa what a coincidence i was actually going to buy a war beast infact i was looking at a warbeast like 10 minutes thanks now i now what it sounds like love it!!!

2020 and i still listen to this
Well, 2021 now, and i too, here practicing some bmth songs on the guitar
This is fucking great man, good job.
Thanks a lot dude! :)
@KTM5001 Around £165, which if you ask me is an absolute steal!! The build quality is amazing, the humbuckers are the best I've ever used and the fret board plays really REALLY fast! :)
Wo-ho-ho! This is perfect! You are really profesional, guy))
Yep! It's a Line 6 Uber Metal pedal.
And cheers! B.C RICH actually make amazing guitars! Best sounding guitar I've ever owned! :D
The main sound is from a Line 6 Uber Metal pedal. Ran DI into my recording software and then added EQ and reverb afterwards. :)
@WokeUpScreaming one of the best solos of this generation
good job
Cheers dude! :D I used a Line 6 Uber Metal pedal for my tone. It's just the straight sound from the pedal with nothing else added except for a little reverb in the solo. :)
dude......AWESOMEEEEEE!!!!! how tha fuuck did you figured this song out?? This is the most accurate cover of this song i've seen on youtube dude and btw luv ur guitar ;)
@hxcpriincess Cheers! Glad you liked it :) x
OMFG GG THIS OVER PLAY DUDE YOU KILLED IT
@guitarshredder61 Thanks amillion! :D Well i made the backing track as i had to perform this for college. And i recorded guitar going through a line 6 Uber Metal pedal into a tonecore gearbox USB interface and recorded into cubase :D

literally
Abel Chavez More like if Matt Nicholls and Lee Malia had a child lmao
@Growlbene More like dropdead EVERYTHING in the background XD I'm a tad obsessed :/ haha. Cheers man!! Glad you can appreciate the quality, it took me a while to get it decent! :)
... *jaw drops* WOW dude. Just wow!
I'm sorry, I didn't use a tab to learn this song so not sure if there is a good one anywhere. :(
And thank you very much for your kind words, probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my guitar playing. :) x
Amazing
You play soo smooth
I love the way you just don´t give a shit and look away from the guitar without stopping to make a perfect perfomance hahaha.
This is a amazing cover, you play the song better than me.
@KTM5001 For high gain metal songs I would say that block pickups would be the best yes :) These pickups are BC Rich standard pickups and they're the nicest pickups I've ever played with! :)
Line 6 Uber Metal distortion pedal and recording straight out of the pedal into cubase with a line 6 tone port usb audio interface.
Amazing playing man :)
Just perfect dude
This was pretty solid!
@skaterdude1213 I have no idea sorry. Never used a gibson or fender tuner. They're both be good established makes and they're chromatic so i'm guessing they will both be pretty good :)
Hey man, I'm struggling with the lick from 2:11 to 2:15. Any hints or suggestions?
Hi there. It's just 3 fret / minor 3rd hammer ons. :)

Then play 8 on the 3rd string and hammer on to 11.

I learnt the song by ear. :)
Fuck the breakdown was filthy with that guitar tone.
@WokeUpScreaming It may be better to tune your strings C#, F#, B, E, G#, C#.
As this will be the standard tuning equivelant of Drop B. So just tune the low C# down a full tone when you're playing in Drop B.
Also, your intonation will need adjusting once you have put your guitar into this tuning.
Bad ass. Makes me want to pick up my guitar again for the first time in weeks.
Keep it up!
what is the brand of your guitar
Just checked it out and his technique is spot on, can't fault his playing at all, however, you can hear that alot of the notes that he's playing don't sound right so he's probably worked it out wrong.
I'm always getting requests to do Pray For Plagues. Might do it someday soon, see if I can work it out. :)

you got skills man goodjob
Awe. Youre so cool ! I love how you played it.

that cover is sick
@crazymanny707070 I used a 'Line 6 Gearbox USB Interface' and a 'Line 6 Uber Metal Pedal'. That is all. :) Just took the time to get i good sound i spose! :)
@skaterdude1213 I'm not 100% sure on which guage would be better, i would start with 11s and if they're not tight enough switch to 12s
Oh, God, it's freaking awesome
you play fucking awesome, im your brand new fan
i know! i just got a mockingbird and its beautiful and it sounds great also!!! amazing cover man! if only u lived in staten island we cud jam the fuck out...

This is mental i love it !!
hey do you think you can make a lesson on how to do this song? or possibly just the solo cause i cant find any and im trying to learn this haha
@skaterdude1213 I'm not sure i understand this question sorry? Do you mean what guitars would suit lower tunings? anything with humbuckers and a long scale legth really :)
I don't know what that means, but it sounds lovely! :)

why fl studio AND cubase ?

you fucking own it man... I wish I could play like you !! If you ever write the tabs for this one somewhere on a site, lemme know
@WokeUpScreaming Man you should really get some EMG's in that, you'd love the heavy-ness.
THIS. IS. PERF.
Just spent alot of time on technique :)
Try experimenting with where you pluck the string too, (nearer the neck pick up or nearer the bridge pickup) it makes a world of difference!

@dropdeadblink182 If my band goes tits up then I will most probably focus on teaching guitar! :)
Nice job Joshua! ;)

Thanks mate! Means alot to me! And just trial and error most of the time with regards to working it out. :)
Very impressive!

@sticks7861 Awwwww thanks :) It's not too hard, just takes a bit of practice :)
@KTM5001 For playing alone in your room give it a hell of a lot of bass, a moderate amount of treble, and scoop the mids by putting the mid at a very low level. And give it lots of gain! :D

Really cool
Yes, of course ;) :x
Sweet cover man, great work!
Only thing I didn't like was your tone, but that's just me personally :')
Thanks a lot man! And to be honest, I completely agree with you on my tone. This was when I had really cheap crappy gear and not much experience with recording.
Fair enough man, well done though!
I understand your frustration! TH-cam is full of BMTH covers! haha
Just search Count Your Blessings and the album versions should come up. :)
