I noticed this car is also double din, but the player is one din. Maybe I missed it, but how did you guys do to cover the hole that would be there (because one din is not used) Thank you so much
Does the DSP allow you to control speakers that are hooked up to the amp and the headunit as well? I mean, Sony has bi-amp capable comp sets, so running the tweeters off the HU and mid bass off the amp makes sense, right? How would one go about it? Love your content
I have the XAV-AX8000 installed in an FJ Cruiser. What do you recommend doing to recess the unit further? It looked like you drilled additional holes in the single din mounting bracket. Thanks.
I appreciate the content and the attention to detail in the installation. However, both of these Sony pieces are very nice and a bit more attention to features of the source unit and tuning etc on the amp would be nice. Is there a mobile app for tuning or USB, etc.
Maybe! But he didn't do it for looks. The new one is a much better stereo, faster, has apple carplay and android auto, provides more power to his speakers, more responsive touchscreen, better interface, etc.
I agree. The DDIN size suits the interior a lot better than the protruding display. If he wanted all the benefits of the Sony, should have went with the AX5000 instead.
I found one of these brand new in box and found this video looking for reviews. For video to work while driving just putting the green straight to ground works?
I wish headunits would use the extra space freed up from mechless and double din to fit a strong 4 channel amp to run the car speakers. 4x 40w rms bridgeable to 2 x 80w. Then only a powered sub needed. Massively cut down on cable runs and install time. Alpine sorta do this but not quite. Ironically one of the old single din Sony has a strong amp but sony never carried it over to the new units. Also Sony for the love of god go HD screen.
This question is off the beaten path but how would i tune my 4 channel kicker amp its running 4x6 and 6x9 kicker ks speakers but im confused how to get more midbass all im getting is highs any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
plz get some 12v Milwaukee drivers and make your life easier from having to ratchet so much killing your wrists n hands... extend your career brother.. peace

Are all your installs done in the parking lot? The heat shrink on the speaker wires are way too big!

They have three kinds. The average one used is called 9 wire. Which has all four speakers plus a remote wire
