Thanks for posting. If I lived there I'd spend some time on the canals, but when I was there last Feb I only had a month to see both Islands, so just plunked one canal one evening for a couple hours. The local rivers are majestic and have some nice fish, but nothing like that. Maybe next time!
Well done and nice fish but it's highly illegal to keep fish that are foul hooked like that one at 12:23... plus ill also add that gilling fish then releasing them is poor form, no good mate
Sorry for late reply, i had a double hook/egg set up, i was told that you can have up to three hooks/eggs set up, when the fish came into the bank for the last time it did the flip flop in the shallows, then back out to the depths, ."you were not there!!!" by the time i got down there to net it one hook was in its ass, but the other was in its mouth where it was from the start, as for the gill fish i was going to take it but last second decided no, as i placed it in the water as a test of its health the dam thing took off happy as hell, the end,,, Videos do not always show all events,,,

Logan Ormiston of course, it happens at times. But when it does happen you make sure to care for the fish, not gill it and bonk it on the head.. 🤦🏻♂️
