Awesome vid mate! Also came here from YBS comment you made. This is my home turf, and being stuck in Auz at the moment this reminded me of home.. Cheers mate!

Great content mate. I grew up in CHCH now living in Northern Australia, got to say the fishings better up here but nice to see some familiar sights. Keep up the good work 🤙

Just the black and white minnow, didn’t know much about paddle tails at this point but they seem to do even better

Awesome video. I've been fishing soft plastics for years over in Australia, in the salt water. Over the past year living in south island NZ I've been getting into hard body lures more. I went to twizel yesterday and tried a 1/6 ounce jig head out. I'm think it was a little too heavy. What weight are you guys using?

Yeah mate I think it entirely depends on the flow of the canal, no flow-lightweight I reckon up to 1/24 ounce high flow I go for a 1/6
      Most common I’d use is a 1/8 👍

@@newzealandadventures2665 Thanks for the reply and advice. Yeah I think I should have put something lighter on by the sounds. Looking forward to getting out (after lockdown is over) and trying it again.
