Glad to see I’m not the only one using that kinsect everyone is always on about carnage beetle but instant earplugs off the orange white buff is so sweet. Good run
There are 2 main reasons: - To get orange buff with carnage beetle, I need to go around monster body to collect it, this is very difficult to do when soloing since the monster will always try to face towards me. With dual orange kinsect I could just grab everything from its head and front leg, giving me 99% triple up-up time - I can get orange-white buff in one hit, giving me instant earplug to avoid monster's opening roar
@@Umi4Life that makes sense, also to get orange with carnage beetle you just need to hit forearms, but does getting instant earplugs makeup for the slight damage drop?
@@kbrxion5620 ...I actually just knew Val's legs already gives orange buff (lol). What I said above was for general case where legs and wings usually gives white buff. As for instant earplug; It's just a nice bonus. I'd say if you can consistently dodge roars (or advance roundslash through it) then it's not really worth it.
I can tell this person plays other weapons. Pure Glaive users pretty much never stay on the ground as they are constantly in the air even vs Valstrax. Prolly better to be a "Jack of all Trades" in MH games though rather than master one weapon though. Good time for Valstrax though. Just that during Rage phase of Valstrax you should be shaving it's wings after an aerial evade of it's stomping attacks(Can be 1 or 2 or 2 and 1 Sweep in a row).
a lot of runners stay on the ground with glaive because it's optimal. being in the air with this weapon is usually bad if you're trying to finish hunts quickly, since you do less damage in the air than you would with the standard A combo.
@@csg1lcolonel528 I see you dont play Glaive. 3 Spin 1 Dive ~1400-1500 damage. If you are good, you land them often. Spamming Y Y Y B(Tornado Slash) is not more dps unless ur just picking up Glaive and arent so good with aerial combat. Was talking about being Jack of all trades vs Mastering one weapon. Not sure why ur talking to me about average Glaive players that havent mastered aerial combat.
@@prevalentdarkness8481 Almost all IG speedruns are in ground, surely for reasons. MH rise Meta also says Ground wins in dps... I had the doubt too about dps Aerial vs ground and did some timed dps tests, ground wins in every one but i am not that good with glaive to use it as a proof.
@@prevalentdarkness8481 I main long sword in rise and glaive is my secondary. From my experience, yes aerial move do more damage as a complete combo however the time commitment is way too long and it's hard to have an opening like that. And when a monster is stunned, it might seem a great opening but the monster is too low to aim aerial combo around a specific part(usually the head when speed running ). Also staying up in the air makes u get hit way more often than on ground(the monster hit box sometime make no sense, or maybe I am just bad, idk) The point is ground combo for glaive is more consistent, less time commitment and outweigh the damage output of an aerial combo.
One thing i hate bout playing online is, people going straight to valtrakz without farming birbs. Because unless your a speedrunner your going to die and cost us. Learn the difference this guy is a speedrunner ya'll who copy builds (especially LS and LBG) are not.
Then play solo. There's really no benefit in playing online. I myself paid for NSO only for the save backup, but I never touched that filthy online search in the hub. You only risk encountering trolls and noobs that prolong the hunt, even fail it at times. Better solo everything, it also makes you a better player. Only casuals play multiplayer so they can get carried.
@@wysteriousmimic1402 "Only casuals play multiplayer so they can get carried." That's just not true at all. Playing in a coordinated group of friends is the way to go. Why would I ever play with randoms?
What are you on about though? You don't have to be a speedrunner to beat Valstrax without Spiribirds. I am not (my personal best is 8,17) and yet I have zero issues. And before you mention it: yes, that's also been the case four months ago. Also what's that nonsense about LBG? You don't need the slightest amount of skill for sticky. Doesn't matter whether you're a runner or not.

💯💯💯
Which kinsect
Carnage Beetle does the same thing as Foebeetle but better... I'm confused by this comment
4:31 was so tasty, awesome run and build!!
damn that talisman, I want that QWQ
How are people making so many sub 10 minute hunts? I can never end the hunt before Felyne Booster runs out.
What does 6 ft 10 inches have to do with it though?
I think the size of the monster he/she just hunts?
I sure fucking hope this is a joke but I’m too tired to tell
Contrary to popular believes, dats not valtrax theme. Dats the player theme.
so this is how casual play for glaive should be. keeping kinsect at standby all the time.
Good shit dude.
Just curious but is there a reason for going with the orange blunt kinsect instead of carnage beetle?

what layered armor do you have on? I like how it looks
Chameleos head, Shell studded chest, the rest are Spio
What buff armor is that
Nice vid keep going bro one sub for u
What’s the kinsect?
Foebeetle
Insect Glaive without flying combo make me feel like it's lacking something
I am a simple man
That's too grounded for an IG Rise.
