Sounds like a similar method was used for GLaDOS in Portal and Machine Head in Invincible, possibly with some extra effects thrown on top. The full version is currently on sale so will have to grab it.
Is there any way of organizing the VST folders in Waveform so that it's easer to find stuff? I find that's one of the biggest hitches I have with using it... Trying to find plugins is a real hassle because a loooong menu pops up & it's not easy to zero in on what I need~!

The issue I have with Waveform free is when I bounce to mp3 a synth track, the track somehow changes the pitch of it
Try exporting in real-time.
