The new R3 is 🔥. The only thing that I don't like is that they still kept the side indicators. I wish they'd used mirror Indicators so that the bike looks more Slick.

I was looking at the KTM Duke 390 since everyone and their mum recommends it but I heard about how unreliable KTM is so now here I am looking at Yamaha's.
You shouldnt,buy what you like forget reliability every euro bike needs proper service if you do them on time you wont have any issues(i got a multi with 100k)the thing with reliability was in previous generation of ktm not now and it was hyped by the young people who thought they can treat a ktm-duc as a honda that aint gonna happen and its not because they aint reliable is because japan and europe have different approach considering maintenance. Edit i own a multistrada 620 05 and a gsxr 750 09 i love them both for their use.
Just a note for MPG... I have done about 1400km so far on my R3 (~870 miles) and my fuel economy at the present is 2.9 L/100km or 81.1 MPG. Though I haven't still go to the rev limit with it, but I am normally cruising at 6000-8500rpm and up to 9500-10000 when overtaking.
Funny you said that about 5th and 6th gear. I wasn't aware of that feature, but just noticed a few days ago how it really does make the rpms behave on the highway. Great vid.
Heard that the after market adjustable brakes on the R3 have an issue with the radial brakes? The front brakes tend to lock up if the adjustment or tension is off. Ride safe. So far there hasn't seemed to be a problem with axials.
Holy fucking cow, that bike is beyond stunning, indicators could have been led though, the white would match the colour scheme even more. But GODDAMMIT the design!!!!! Looks better than most litre bikes

Yeah I pretty much don’t like the front forks on my 2016 R3. Way too soft and they dive like crazy when coming to a stop. That was one huge difference I noticed when getting on my ZX10R. The front forks were amazing compared to the R3. My ZX10R has an Ohlin’s rear shock so of course there was a huge difference there too. Lol.

RC is fast but the ride quality, build quality and performance everything is better on R3. If R3 was priced equal to RC 390 here in India, no would have touched RC 390.

The 2015 had two overdrive gears too. I'm getting 61mpg on mine, which is 7 higher then what you're getting on that 2019. I believe its because the 1st gen is more aerodynamic as it doesn't have that ugly fake air intake between the headlights. That's gotta kill your highway mpg's.
Wassup bro i just really inlove with the r3 because of new looks new digital speedometer and the goodlooking inverted fork shocks and the new led its almost almost perfect but the only one im complaining the tail light because its a r series the r series taillight like r1 and r6 and r15 are just like vertical light and goddamm looking badass bike so i hope that yamaha change it next year or in other year but yamaha r3 are best of the best peace

I have done 30,000+ Kms on my modified KTM RC 390 and it rocks, no issues.

@@Savitar_rr mine is 2019. Fuel consumption went a bit up since then as I started to ride a bit faste, but it is still around 3.3 L/100km ~ 70 mpg

I’m going to take the MSF course from Harley at the end of this month and you needed to have your temps before taking the class

It's the same part number for 2015-2019 for the stock exhaust muffler, so that wouldn't be a problem.

Most would probably be happier with a 400cc Ninja if they are short, or a 900cc V-twin Yamaha if they are tall, or maybe a 500cc Honda.
