They could have gone the route of the Mandarin from Iron Man 3 have someone else use the mantle only to later on reveal the true shredder in a future movie. That would also explain the shredder armor in the first movie he's not that skilled combat wise like the real shredder so he's armor have to compensate for that with the multiple blades, the size, the appearance etc.

I wondered if the original version of the 2014 film before the reshoots was going to have reincarnation story from the comics. Eric Sacks was a reincarnation of an Feudal Japanese Shredder while having his grudge against his reborn enemies, thus explaining their fight banter. Also, when Splinter pick up the book of how to do martial arts, he triggered memories of his past life and teach the turtles all the skills from Feudal Japan but with the reshoots throwing the reincarnation story out of the window, they simply learn from a book. Another thing is I believe all of Baxter's scenes went straight to Sacks in the reshoots. Baxter was there but very briefly. April does have a sort of rivalry with Baxter in the other versions, so it makes sense them fighting each other in the shootout scene instead of Sacks.
I've waited so long for this rebirth of tmnt love, THEYRE GETTING SO MUCH AGAIN, ITS SO EXCITING, TH-cam VIDEOS, MOVIES (sadly rise ending but a amazing movie to follow it) GAMES, EVERYTHING

Then over the course of several movies, he would start to lose his sense of justice & become the bad ass vigilante we all know him as. Except their were no more movies after this one, so it’s just shit by default now.
Imagine if they cast Keanu Reeves as Casey Jones? We could have had some really cool, John Wick style action set pieces. Creatively utilising sports equipment and bits of trash he finds on the street etc

TMNT 2014 almost has the same villain twist as Iron Man 3 but worse Where we follow this one guy and he's hyped up as this big threat but then he turns out to be a random henchman distracting the heroes while the REAL villain works behind the scenes on the actual plan for world domination The Rise of Skywalker retconned Snoke's backstory to fit this trope too...
13:56 I think the 2003 series really nailed making the turtles smaller in height and making Casey basically tower over them and also having April be taller as well…..I know the 87 cartoon also does that but it just feels so much better in the 03 cartoon though unfortunately any those turtles don’t look like teens but at least they got the height thing right :/
Nothing compares to the classics for me... as a kid who grew up with the turtles since day one and continues that love with his kiddos. I can say as a fan I enjoyed the Bay Turtle films for sure. The crisp visuals and spot on CGI... smooth action and fights too... there's a place for them for sure. Never above the originals though.
I didn't realize they redubbed Leo w/ Knoxville. I thought he was Knoxville from the start. But just didn't use him for motion capture. Learn something knew every day!
the one thing you can say about these movies is the turtles themselves were perfectly cast (besides johnny knoxville lol) but i could see the second movies cast being reused for an animated show n it'd work completely, it's pretty much everything besides them in these movies that don't work tho
They tossed out the entire pathos of their origin and replace it with something not as deep. Eliminating Hamato Yoshi from the source of ninja two for the turtles and splinter was a mistake. Then there are the designs of the turtles and selves. Gargantuan anthropomorphic powerhouses instead of the stealthy small ninjas everybody knows. Sorry but this was a complete cluster fuck of what fans love. And don't get me started on The Sheedder.
Actually the Hulk is really good at being stealthy believe it or not I get the comparison but the Hulk actually is really good at being stealthy when he wants to be that's how he's able to avoid the military all the time in the comics is because he actually is really good at being stealthy
So the word for the day is Stealthy? The difference between the Hulk and the Turtles is that the Hulk is Hulk as long as he's pissed, other than that he's back to Bruce Banner, while the Turtles stats the way they are. It's much easier to be stealthy when you can become a human that is technically and legally called out as dead, while the Turtles stays the way they are all the time. Of course by then they shouldn't be gigantic, they live in the sewers that probably have less food available than the people of North Korea, and they aren't known to be very tall.
@@aliahpersonous2893 not true actually Hulk has lots of lesser known powers such as his ESP to always find his way back to where he was born quote unquote or his ability to see and interact with ghosts and astral forms. Hulk actually does have the ability to hide himself really well when he wants to this is actually how he alludes the government all the time arguably Banner is better at it but Hulk can do it too
@@aliahpersonous2893 no the live-action Hulk does not seem to have this ability but that's irrelevant. The Hulk as he exists in the comics does have ESP he does showcase to be stealthy when he wants to be and does have several lesser known abilities such as seeing and physically interacting with ghosts and astral forms. Here's another lesser known ability of his he is able to adapt to different environments and situations in real time. If he goes to the bottom of the ocean for example he will adapt to be able to survive under the ocean if he goes into outer space he will adapt to be able to survive in outer space and the immortal Hulk series kind of confirms the idea that Hulk can adapt to fight his different opponents if multiple Hulk personas work together.

Ehhh I much prefer the pet rat story its accurate to the source material.
19:37 those are funny little characters, I like that
TMNT 2014 almost has the same villain twist as Iron Man 3 but worse
Where we follow this one guy and he's hyped up as this big threat but then he turns out to be a random henchman distracting the heroes while the REAL villain works behind the scenes on the actual plan for world domination
The Rise of Skywalker retconned Snoke's backstory to fit this trope too...
Honestly I rewatched both the past two days and they aren't all that bad. Out of the shadows is an awesome movie
TMNT was my uncles stuff as a kid and he was really disappointed in these live action adaptations. I love the cartoon myself!
W cold ones clip insert max and chad are LEGENDS
13:56 I think the 2003 series really nailed making the turtles smaller in height and making Casey basically tower over them and also having April be taller as well…..I know the 87 cartoon also does that but it just feels so much better in the 03 cartoon though unfortunately any those turtles don’t look like teens but at least they got the height thing right :/
7:05 bro that black kid is utterly traumatized 💀
I Think it is OK for Donnie to be wearing glasses.
The first one didn’t have a sky laser climax, so the sequel made sure to fix that.
the sequel was a step in the right direction. I think they could've nailed it with the 3rd one and a few years to develop.
Agreed
As long as they keep Megan Fox as April, they would never nail it. She is the problem. 😂
I feel like Xavier is gonna do a video on The Transformers movies.
I just hope he does the animated movie
I honestly and ironically but also unironically like these movies. Mostly because of nostalgia
at least no studio to my knowledge has given the turtles human ears either that they don't care or know that turtle ears don't stick out
The turtles looked cool
I didn't realize they redubbed Leo w/ Knoxville. I thought he was Knoxville from the start. But just didn't use him for motion capture.
Learn something knew every day!
the one thing you can say about these movies is the turtles themselves were perfectly cast (besides johnny knoxville lol) but i could see the second movies cast being reused for an animated show n it'd work completely, it's pretty much everything besides them in these movies that don't work tho
Buddy really does bust out the customer service voice for the ads
They tossed out the entire pathos of their origin and replace it with something not as deep. Eliminating Hamato Yoshi from the source of ninja two for the turtles and splinter was a mistake. Then there are the designs of the turtles and selves. Gargantuan anthropomorphic powerhouses instead of the stealthy small ninjas everybody knows. Sorry but this was a complete cluster fuck of what fans love. And don't get me started on The Sheedder.
Every day my brothers make me watch this with them and then I want to rip out my ears and eyes
Hulk being stealthy is Hulk turning into Bruce. Otherwise Hulk isn’t stealthy.
@@aliahpersonous2893 not true actually Hulk has lots of lesser known powers such as his ESP to always find his way back to where he was born quote unquote or his ability to see and interact with ghosts and astral forms. Hulk actually does have the ability to hide himself really well when he wants to this is actually how he alludes the government all the time arguably Banner is better at it but Hulk can do it too
@@supernew10doh64 Does the live action MCU Hulk really look like he has ESP . Common sense man.
6:58 I mean Raphael did bring April home to meet his father
23:33 just wondering, who do you think should play casey if we ever get another live action tmnt film? I personally think Dylan O'Brien would be a pretty good casting
