Thank you! These are ..perfecto. I gonna do some bookmarks now.🙃😊 Here In Finland the winter have been over long.. and dark. But today we got some sun and the birds have started to sing. I can smell the spring.'
I can imagine what it must be like in Finland from having lived in Canada where the winters are endless. It’s been bad here in France too. Last summer was brutally hot, and this winter has been excessively cold. What is going on!?
Great idea for Mother’s Day gift, a set of 6! I’ve painted MD cards until I’m blotto! BTW, YOUR “all over the place, wishy washy “ style is yet another reason we love you! You help us to keep from taking the journey too seriously!❤️XOXO
Diane, I'm always amazed how gratifying it is watching you paint. Even at the start of this video watching you put the paint to paper so organically was mesmerizing, even before you added the flowers. I'm a bloom lover so when I saw some blooms develop, I paused and backed up the video to watch them bloom again and again :) The yellowy golden flowers with the pink and gold touch have that vintage feel I love! I haven't made bookmarks in a while so this has inspired me. It also is a good reminder that when I put paint to paper and don't like the direction it's going, not to throw my paper away, but rather to build upon it with ink and turn it into something like you did here. You are such a wonderful and inspiring art teacher. Thank you!
I have been painting bookmarks the last few days and now youv'e given me more ideas . Thank you. I really love hanging out with you ,so to speak. I am really loving all your videos which I have been binge watching
My Kuretake art Nuveau set is going to be delivered anytime now! I'm so excited to be able to do my version of your art projects. I so look forward to seeing a new video show up on my phone! Keep up the good work 👏
I love when you "don't know what I'm doing yet!" I just watched and listened while I was actually starting another sea glass picture! I didn't want to paint along with this today, but I always love having you "next to me" chatting away!" And you always have nuggets of wisdom and encouragement about painting, which are so helpful. Yes, sometimes I paint "ugly," but I simply take a photo of it and put it in my painting pictures file on my laptop. (So I can always go back and see progress/mistakes not to make, etc.) Then I use the back for another try! And if both sides are duds, out it goes! Thank you for another great demo, Diane!
That’s great Tracy, thanks so much for your comments. I often do something similar, I like to have a likeminded person rambling in the background while I work!
@@mpetersen2586 You're welcome!! I started painting for the first time just over a year ago and have taken a picture of pretty much every "finished" painting. (Not things like practice sheets of brush strokes.) "Way back" when I was raising my 4 kids, I started doing that with their artwork - you just can't keep everything! Anyway, my pictures files were already well organized - I'm one of those "annoying" people who cleans off their photo cards regularly, files them appropriately, and prints them out to put in albums! So I have a file names Painting 2023, for example, and then folders for each month. If you keep current with it, it's easy! This might be more information that you wanted, but I know lots of people have scads of pictures on their phone and never doing anything with them (my kids, for instance - I have them send ME their photos and I keep them organized!).
Love making bookmarkers. That's a nice background for them, thanks for the idea. I also like hearing the background sounds of where you live, be it the birds, rain, dogs, etc.
We had huge hail a couple weeks ago and it really made us nervous with all our skylights! I love to hear the rain….we don’t get much rain in the Southwest! Never thought I’d love to hear it rain after retiring from the Midwest and all their rain!!!!!!
Love the bookmarks. Ordered some coloring books, maybe there will be something I can convert to a bookmark in one of them. Can’t wait to try. Thank you for sharing.
Great idea Diane 😊 We have the same weather here in Kent, it's absolutely bucketing down, and the wind is howling, cold too. Good Friday to Sunday was beautiful, could sit in the garden without a cardigan 🙄 And like you, my hayfever is awful 😢 but I do hate the cold. Thank you for another enjoyable video 😊
Hi Pauline, thanks for your lovely comments, reminding me of when I used to live in Kent, it’s my original stamping ground! Still waiting for spring over here too… worst March/April I can remember.
You’re right about leaves being a go to! I’ve been trying my hand a.t the reverse colouring trend and always seem to revert to leaves. I must start adding flowers. My allergies are also acting up…always at this time of year, even though it’s autumn here.
Those are wonderful! Still waiting for my 'art nouveau' set...excited! Where do we find your paintings for sale. I've checked everything in the description box, your blog said signed originals coming soon....is that it? Thanks for sharing
Hi Kathy, ALL the paintings are for sale, so all you do is choose one, based on the thumbnail picture you see when you click on a video to visit it. Then send me an email at studio@dianeantone.com giving me three choices and I’ll get back to you with availability and I’ll send you a $50 payment request which is easy for you to pay. All the paintings are signed front and back, carefully packed and come with a complementary hand-painted bookmark and certificate of authenticity. Hope this helps, but if you have any questions or need help just email me on the address I’ve given here. Blessings x
Enjoyed this. My 140# paper is not cotton or stretched and curls terribly. Therefore, I tend to avoid bookmarks. But, perhaps I should rethink this. 😊❤
For bookmarks just follow what I do on today’s video when I do bookmark chickens, and paint them first, then cut up the whole sheet, using washi or masking tape to hold the paper down while you work. Shouldn’t curl unless you use a lot of water x
@@DianeAntoneStudio Unfortunately they are not in SA yet. Trying to get set up and I hope it will happen soon. In the meantime, Amazon won't deliver here as there has been too much theft. Plus the cost with our exchange rate is prohibitive, Sorry just have to have a winge.
Yes, I think I mentioned in the video that I had swapped some of the colors out and changed them for colors from the big set. That’s one of the reasons I like these boxes of paint, you can limit and vary your palette choice so easily.
Hi Fanna, I don’t have a catalogue where you can see what’s still for sale. The way I was doing it, was asking people to look through the video thumbnails and choose a few paintings that they were interested in, and send me the title of the video so I can look it up and see if it is still available. I can usually get back to you same day. There are so many, although about 60 have been sold there are still many many left! Hope this helps, if you have any other questions don’t hesitate to email me on studio@dianeantone.com. Thanks!
Very nice video! I do bookmarks and would love to know if anyone can find clear plastic envelopes (or any other kind) for them...? Any advice appreciated....🎉
I ruin all of my pens quite quickly when I draw over paint (and I make sure it’s dry). Can you, will you please address what is going wrong. Thank you. I do watch your lovely videos when they come out.
I wish I knew how to avoid that problem. But sadly I don’t think there is a solution. Someone suggested using alcohol to clean the nib. Maybe that would work.
I could watch you sketch and watercolor all day ❤️

Lovely! But there are no such thing as weeds only wildflowers! 😊💕

Fun!! And I hope you're feeling better!!
So simple, so beautiful. Love these.
Thanks so much Kate! 😊
Amazingly stunningly beautiful! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
Looks great with that abstract colour layers in the beginning. Gotta try this out!
Yes, it is an effective way to start - no fear!
@@DianeAntoneStudio I found that incredibly true. Usually If I paint with some anxiety and worries hanging around, I got less desireable results! :'D

Love the Kuretake colours. Unfortunately, as I live in South Africa we don't have them.

I use laminating pouches . Just use my iron and a cloth over top . Trim them with my rotary cutter .
