They’re beautiful! I’ve been painting with watercolor for over ten years. I’ve never made/painted a bookmark, because I wasn’t sure how durable they’d be or if the paint might rub off on the book pages. But this video makes me want to make them now.
I use a coat of wax over the bookmarks and also seal them in a cellphone bookmark wrapper. If someone wants to remove the wrapper they can and the bookmark is waterproof from the wax. 😁
I adore these bookmarks! I really like painting bookmarks with my off cuts and when I buy new paints. It shows off the values of the new paints and at the end of testing the paints you have a gift. I like to dabble. Thank you 🙏🏼🎨✨💕

It's a really pretty album with a cyanotype artwork for every track. Ik I'm rambling but I just love when I can relate a certain piece of beautiful art with another haha have a good day.

It looks like the filbert brush is a good way to paint those small oval leaves. I have struggled with keeping leaves like that where they are supposed to be. I don't have a nice watercolour filbert brush but I'm sure I have an "all-purpose" filbert to try. I'm excited about this solution! Beautiful, beautiful bookmarks. I'm plan to paint some like this for small Christmas gifts.
Right!! I hated having to paint the outline one by one if I use my round brush! Haha the filbert brush was so useful and satisfying for this one, having to use single strokes for each tiny leaf!

Yea! It's a great way to test out colours or do some exercises since the space is nice and compact :D

The bookmarks are lovely! How do you seal watercolor bookmarks to protect them from moisture and protect the books from pigment transfer?
I personally don't use any and I don't have access to seals, but I think there are sprays, and I heard that you can also use hairspray
