Beautiful game, it left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth being Italian but it was still fun. Incredible Nishida and together with Ishikawa they were incredible hitters, Japan's defense never disappoints. But I also want to congratulate my team for making me dream with the recovery of the third set and the skill on the wall. I hope that we will meet again later in the VNL
I'm Italian too and I agree with you. Japan is a great team. Two remarks about Italy 1) They lose the match especially by serving very badly. Too many errors while Japanese players served very well. 2) Michieletto did not play according to his high standard
@@FraserIland In attack Michieletto is becoming really predictable. He is either going to try hit above the block or cross court. He probably goes for a line shot only a few times per set. He also served really bad today. The guy has ridiculous potential and I have faith he will live u to it.
Italy didn't play well, or atleast not at the maximum level they can achieve. Bad serving, especially Romanò, big troubles even in receiving average serves by Japan, late blocking in the middle. Italy can do better

He even mentioned that he copy that style of fake spike/ quick toss from N'Gapeth and it works for Japan's advantage..

Amazing this match seemed like the final of everything, pure emotions lived in the match Ran earned everyone's respect fell horrible (what a jump) in the 5th set and then came back and closed it with a lock. Yuki made 6 service points and the fake point from him and Yuji exploded with his hits; the whole team played very well great game they are still my favorites
And the fact that Ran the one who got their winning point by his blocking (tbh, this game show their blocking rate is lower than usual bcs Italy is really good at avoiding their blocking). And dramatic ending ended with blocking! 😭❤

Japan's Men's team never ceases to amaze me. Italy is a major powerhouse in men's volleyball. They have always defeated Japan in their past matches, until now. What a great game this is. Japan is so lucky to have legions of fans in the Philippines. It felt like they were playing in their own hometown. This looked like an Olympic gold medal match. What an amazing crowd! VNL's Quezon City (Metro Manila) leg is proving to be a massive success. The Philippines is doing a fantastic job hosting the event.
another good thing we witnessed before, during and after the match is the respect of both Japanese and Italian players who have played in the Italian League. It's so nice to see Ishikawa, Nishida and Takahashi talking to their friends :)
Watched this game live and even though there is a huge Japanese fan base in the Philippines, the Filipino fans also show support to the Italian players. Gianneli and Romano (ofcourse) were favorites. "Cuteness overload" when the Italian players spoke the Filipino language before the game.

THIS GAME! Japan team showed the world what they are made of, against a very strong opponent, the Europe champions, that basically had the same team that lead them to victory in the finals. Japan endured their strong attacks, played smart on their counterattack and finally took the game. Also, the number of aces they managed to get, with a defense specialist like Balaso on the other side of the net, was not an easy task at all. Also glad to see Takahashi get back on the court after his fall!
@DamianerooFanLecha I watched their games, I know they are strong. Yet this doesn't mean it's an easy win for Poland. Today Nishida served at 128 km/h, a lot of his and Ishikawa's spikes were over 100 km/h, and as I said, their floor defense is one of the best in the world, if not THE best

Service Aces of Nishida and Ishikawa turn the match around and unfortunately Ran had an accident on the 5 set yet, he went back during the crucial moment. Ran committed his jump to finish it with a monstrous Block! then all of us were shouting to celebrate their victory!! Congratulations Team Japan!!!!

VNL's Quezon City (Metro Manila) leg is proving to be a massive success. The Philippines is doing a fantastic job hosting the event.

another good thing we witnessed before, during and after the match is the respect of both Japanese and Italian players who have played in the Italian League. It's so nice to see Ishikawa, Nishida and Takahashi talking to their friends :)
Watched this game live and even though there is a huge Japanese fan base in the Philippines, the Filipino fans also show support to the Italian players. Gianneli and Romano (ofcourse) were favorites. "Cuteness overload" when the Italian players spoke the Filipino language before the game.

I really enjoyed the match between Japan and Italy. It was really exciting and nerve wracking volleyball game. Both teams showed their amazing skills in this game. Japan keeps going and going.. what’s their secret , to put together such an amazing team, in a few years , that’s unbelievable, something that’s admirable is that japan’s players are not very tall not very strong either , and still have develop a very strong team in a very short time. THIS GAME! Japan team showed the world what they are made of, against a very strong opponent, the Europe champions, that basically had the same team that lead them to victory in the finals. Japan endured their strong attacks, played smart on their counterattack and finally took the game. Also, the number of aces they managed to get, with a defense specialist like Balaso on the other side of the net, was not an easy task at all.
Also glad to see Takahashi get back on the court after his fall!

This match whew! What a game and an entertainment. Yuki at 4:39 did that play again, this time with Onodera. He did that with Yuji last time vs Italy in VNL 2019 amd still my fave play til now. They did that vs Iran last few days too.

Service Aces of Nishida and Ishikawa turn the match around and unfortunately Ran had an accident on the 5 set yet, he went back during the crucial moment. Ran committed his jump to finish it with a monstrous Block! then all of us were shouting to celebrate their victory!! Congratulations Team Japan!!!!
