I dont think people today realize that the women’s team of Cuba was a volleyball powerhouse in the 90s. Cuban Mireya Luis is a legend in the sport. Their brawl with the star-studded Brazilians were always epic and expected every match, and the challenge system did not exist yet so drama and fights in the net were spectacular

I thought Ishikawa and Takahashi was playing from 2nd week but I guess they will once the games are moved to Japan. It was a very close match but ended up win for Japan despite not having Ishikawa and Ran which was a good thing.
