Just started Taekwondo, and genuinely, these videos have been super crazy useful. Also love that they're not just some guy saying "do this" and then proceeding to do the most impossible 863° spinning jump hook kick into a 12 kicks in 3 seconds combo and then just casually saying "that's all you need!". Believe or not, actually explaining it (with a personality, no less) is waaaay more useful lmao
I just want to say, thank you for this! I recently started Tae Kwon Do with my daughter, and with my sedantry 40 yr old lifestyle these are helping me not injure myself!
Hello! I am working on my Poomsae lately, and welp, some of my kicks are sad. So I found this channel, and the first video I watched was THE side kick 😍🤩😍🤩 I am here to approve my kicks and my Taekwondo overall. Thanks for giving us those tips and for being straight forward, no mercy 😄
Definitely, I already signed up to your official website and did the Follow Along Exercise course. Awesome content, thank you, I will continue watching and becoming better ☺ @@tkdguide
I just started tkd and I have gotten 3 comments very often. 1. My back rounds when i do any kick 2. I am not locking out my feet 3. My balance + hip chambering on pi chagi is just horrible and isnt really skde ways. Any tips would help!
I have gotta say almost two weeks and my flexible it’s twice as good I can balance better and last longer in positions which I never had flexiblity, strength or balance to do before so thanks
Knock knee is a condition in which the knees bend inward and touch or "knock" against one another, even when a person is standing with their ankles apart. This places excessive force on the outer side of the knee, which can cause pain and damage over time. Knock knee is usually bilateral - affecting both legs - but in some cases, it may only affect one knee.@@tkdguide
I can do a kick slightly above my waist level. But yeah, needed this exercises as I am having a stiff nerve around my right thigh as I was having my karate classes 2 days back 😂
Nearly every exercise is a static stretch. What not everyone knows: static stretches are more for gaining stretch. Dynamic ones more to prevent injuries.
@@iwata_sarakeinoMy bad, I thought that was the second stretch. The first one is called the "leg stretch" in my app. I got the video mixed up but just looked back over it.
@@tkdguide First, thank you very much for taking the time to get back to me. I wouldn't say parallel, but I can't get down in complete balance. The archer I can do right down to the floor with heal to the ground and no help from my hands. As you mention, I'm going to stay with it 3 times a week and see what happens. Thank you again for responding to me.
Toddlers shouldn't laugh at my flexibility because they are the only ones I can actually kick in the face. *** And no, I would never... excuse my terrible sense of humour ***
In my experience it doesn’t matter how many toddlers you kick, they still laugh. I think it’s because they aren’t old enough to understand consequences.
Mine was too, I'm still not as flexible as him but it's gotten significantly better in only about a year without even being consistent with my stretches and exercises. Just do the stretches that you can in this video and overtime you'll notice results.
All well and good but I want to learn TECHNIQUES! Can you do a video on how to do that one kick, you know the one - you start sort of like this, left leg here, a bit of a curly bit on this side, then to step forward with this leg and do a spin then a sort of roll with the hips, here - onto the leading leg before you load a kick from here and then do a jump and spin like...hang on I can do this...like... ...HYAH! Sort of - sort of landing like...like th-that with this leg here, the other leg just there, with a spinny hand thing and a YA!? You know the one I mean?

Thank you for this. Just getting back into TKD after many years and well.... I'm not as flexible as I was before lol. This is a great start!
I only do muay thai, but TKD is truly the best addition.
I appreciate you, i'm 6 year of karate and I just start Muay thai yesterday and it was hard i'm not lying I don't get the power
Muay Thai is great

I just love this man's sense of humor, I'm also gonna apply his tips throughout my taekwondo classes!
I started training again after 29 years and wow I even forgot a couple things but it’ll come back to me
I really want to learn taekwondo , but theres no one will guide me and help me to do it , so this help me so much thank uuuu^^
Your humor sells!
great advice!, helped improve my bad leg, and i believe that one stretch is a straddle stretch
i need stuff like this because i cant kick higher than someones knees lol
or short
SAMEEE bruhh I can't kick properly cos both right and left kicks, the technique is SOO bad. My hips are tighter than the some ppls shoe laces. 😂😂😂
I needed this... No wonder my progress was slow, I'd been doing everything wrong.
I am not saying I have no flexibility but I am really good at shin kicks and thats about it.
It’s a start!

master, can you make a video for knock knee?
I’m afraid I’m not familiar with that.

He has Dynamic Stretches as well
what kind of karate is this
The Korean kind.. also known as taekwondo.
Garand Thumb's new channel ?
I dont wanna be rude but what is that black belt with the red stripe???
It’s a Tang Soo ado 5th degree black belt. It’s what my instructor uses because he came out of the Moo Duk Kwan school.
I think that first stretch is called the calf stretch.
Ah ha!
no?

another cool video... sadly I am not that flexible anymore
This video saved me
Great to hear!
Whats strange is that i can do all os these pretty easily. But still cant get any decent hight for my side kick.
With the side stretch, are you able to drop so that your thigh is pretty much parallel with the floor?

Hello Taekwondo sir
Imagine a beam bro I can’t even imagine my own body never mind the beam too busy watching the most amazing fight scene

are easily head high. Not bad for an old bugger!

Please more flexibility videos but can you do a follow along in real time please
