God damn that clap in the intro could've raised the dead
I peed a little, ngl
Dang bro this a great video, thanks for giving such a simplified explanation of what they do, this actually helped me a good amount 👍🏽
Hey kern, i know you love the b58 platform and honestly without you i wouldn’t know a handful of what I do know about the engine. I think personally you should swap on of the 40is for a S series engine; S55, S58, or in general a different engine model. It would be a great way to branch the content out more and be able to break down more bmw platforms with you. You break them down and inform about them probably the best on youtube, just an idea i’m spitballing plus i’d love to see you have another new toy.
S58 would be great but I think they are still 15-20k for the motor
Should rename the video '' every sensor in my highly modified b58 engine bay''
nice shirt man, and thank you for keeping up the great content
This saved me so much time thank you!!!
Thank you, your videos are very helpful
Thanks Again For Sharing Knowledge man !!
You forgot to mention the knock sensors, oil control valve, cranksensor. Oil pressure sensor also the pressure transducer for active water pump also the heat management, oil and coolant temperature sensor last one is the oil level sensor
@@mosestaukobong5937 you mean all the stuff you can't see in your engine bay? 🤔
Thanks unc
THANK YOU
You should make a video on how to get better handling steering response from these cars. I hate the steering feel on my m340
Meaning the T-Bar sensor measure the IAT?
And the pressure sensor at the chargepipe gets shown in the logs on Datazap as „boost target ram psi“ and the one after the manifold is the limited one called „boost target psi“ with 23.3 psi max?
Very informative thank you. Quick question- what’s the long hose line on the top radiator fan towards the front of the bumper? You won’t miss it, first thing I notice when opening my hood
Have you finished tuning your ultraflow x yet been waiting for updates!
Good video 👍 now do an engine tear down and do it again 😂
Thanks for making this video. I just don't understand why most manufacturers nowadays make the engine bay look like a rats' nest. Do you think it's to make servicing them easier or something else?
Brother, I meant no harm by my question/comment.
Love your videos. When you explained the 3 cams. I was like. This guy knows his stuff but i still don't understand the 3 cams . So i think i have a problem. I replaced my radiator at 80k miles. Now I'm a little paranoid. Didn't put the bottom plastic on yet. I drive the car for 15 minutes. Temperature is good. I opened the hood. The overflow tank is really hot. Top of radiator really hot. But the bottom portion. I mean literally almost half the bottom of the radiator all the way across isn't even warm. I don't understand. And the return pipe back into the engine is in the middle of the radiator. So is it only taking water forced out of the engine which is at the top of the radiator and not taking any cold coolant from the bottom of the radiator. Is it a design flaw. I don't understand.
Hey, i got a question for the throttle body. Why there is a hole at the rightside of the throttle body? Is that for emergency air intake or other function?
Any thoughts on difficulty of replacing the MAP sensor with one capable of reading >22psi? Ik we have the 4bar on the chargepipe, just curious about adding some redundancy to the system
Are boost leaks much of an issue with gen 1s? If so what should we check, I saw your smoke vid but I haven't purchased one yet.
When going big turbo what sensors did you have them tune out so it didn’t throw a code?
Sweet
I'm lucky there was a screen in front of me, otherwise I woulda been smacked
Is it fine to run an o2 spacer on our post-cat secondary o2 sensor?
Upgrade cameea
😂😂
