It’s weird that they feel like they still have to be that condescending no matter what age you are. I’ve heard the same shit from ages 6-16, and again about 8 months ago. I’m almost 30. I’m just done at this point. It’s like “look at my teeth, tell me if anything’s weird, clean them and shut up.”

1) A dentist here in the US once ABANDONED ME AS A PATIENT BEFORE MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WAS OVER. HIS SON/FELLOW DENTIST HAD TO COME IN AND ASK ME TO NEVER RETURN. THE SON DIDN’T KNOW BEFOREHAND SO HE WAS JUST AS SURPRISED AS I WAS.
2) Certain people need an extra numbing shot and dentists don’t always believe that you know your body, even when you tell them you’ve had the procedure before.
3) Some countries don’t really do laughing gas.
4) If I say what this one dentist in Japan did he could have grounds to sue me even though IT’S FUCKING TRUE. (Nothing sexual, nothing violent. In Japan, apparently, if you tell the truth, the person can sue you for ruining their reputation, even if it was nothing but facts.)
5) Autistic people have a higher rate of dental problems than allistic (not-autistic) people
I find it kind of funny that you say "Some countries don't really do laughing gas" because I've only ever heard of laughing gas being used in the US... and I've seen comments about that like for example gay people not wanting to go to the dentist because they're scared of accidentally outing themselves and putting themselves in danger. I know the needles aren't pleasant, but you do not *need* laughing gas unless you have a phobia or something, and as an outsider it just seems really strange to me that they drug the whole person for something so small and localized.
Also apparently Japan doesn't understand how slander works...? It's not slander if it's true...

1) Laughing gas doesn’t do that per se. There is actual general anesthesia that’s sometimes administered. Laughing gas is to keep the patient from panic. (It makes a difference. Having a meltdown while the drill…)
2) You can find the specifics of the law(s) by googling “Japan defamation” as that’s what it’s apparently classified under. (Sometimes I don’t know what applicable terms to google which is why I included that.)
3) This is my understanding based on learning that autistic people have higher rates of TMJ, gum picking, tongue thrusting, etc. Now I could be wrong about what is currently documented about the rate of occurrence of these various things in autistic/allistic participants, but the fact that a lot of things can be filed under “ways that dental health can be more difficult to maintain for autistic people” struck me as noteworthy. (Usually I like to use the National Library of Medicine’s website to access articles that are both more specific and seem well-written.)
I need an extra numbing shot and the dentist is always surprised when I actually need one, like i told them and they still surprised i was right. Also i was once told id be numb for 8 hours cos i was given such a high numbing dose and i had full movement and feeling back 2 hours later. Finally, as an autistic i find that the depression/adhd is actually more affecting my teeth than the autism
I always thought I was just lazy when it came to brushing my teeth. Nope. I'm just autistic. Buying a soft-bristle toothbrush and non-minty toothpaste helped so much!
It's really nice seeing good reviews with the name of the worker saying how sweet they were. My sister got reviews like that and it always made her day.

Actually, I've drowned a fish before. They need to keep the water moving past their gills. I was ice fishing, I got a bite, and then I swore I felt the fish let go. I had been pulling the line in and I thought I saw the end of the line with no fish, so I didn't finished pulling it in and let it down again. (Summer-only fishers don't come after me, I'm referring to a roll of fishing line wrapped around a stick, I know these are rod fishing terms.) Well, as it turned out, the fish had simply given up and was being held vertical in the water. When I pulled the line up to go sit by the fire for a while, I had a dead, FROZEN fish on the end of the line.

I honestly can get the "I didn't visit" ones. Sometimes I get asked how I liked a place by Google maps, only to have literally never been there
To the manager at that last place -- The B is indeed important, but it's only 1/3 of the main show. The L and T are players, too. Nobody wants wilty, sad lettuce or a rock-hard tomato slice up in their sandwich, or one with good fillings served in subpar bread. A great sandwich is a Gestalt of good ingredients coming together to make something spectacular. This is why the Muffuletta always will be my Empress of All Sandwich-kind, to which few others can even remotely compare.

I work for a car dealer and can confirm the owner absolutely reaches out to people with bad experiences.
For the Lake, Robin, my area of Michigan called it "Hear-on" but I've also heard it said "Her-on". So both are good I think.

Side note in regards to Kmart, we have Kmart here in Australia, not related to the KMart in the US. A google map search came up with 3 Kmart stores in NJ, NY and FL, and found one via their store location page for NC when I did the check on where one was close to a friend's place there. So yeah, they are still around in the US, however for those outside of the US they look to be owned there by Sears now.

Ok I agree with Robin's rant at the end. It's a BLT not a BBB. If two of the main ingredients are subpar it doesn't matter about the bacon. I suppose on other sandwiches you can hide subpar lettuce and tomato but there's nothing to hide behind on a BLT

There are fish that need little air pockets, like some guppies. People who really care about thier fish may set up 2 different tanks for the fish and use an above tank extention to connect them so the fish can travel between tanks.... if there was no air in the extension... it may drown...

I'm a huge advocate of the First Amendment. That doesn't mean you can tread heavily upon a private establishment and abuse their Right to Privacy which is ALSO in the Bill of Rights. Does that make sense?
the first amendment means that the government cannot restrict your right to speech. people expect that it applies to others as well.
@@rabiithous3 an often heard argument I see is that any business that takes government subsidies or hosts government services (Google, Twitter, and Facebook for example) are subject to the First Amendment as they are acting as extensions of the government by doing so. Obviously this avoids nuances and certain exceptions but again like I said. The person arguing Free Speech in the post in question is violating right to privacy laws so said Free Speech does not apply. You do not have a right to show everything about someone else's business without consent.

The inside of a store is public (publicly accessable) property from a legal perspective, and atleast where I live, you can film wherever you want as long as there's no expectation of privacy, and as most stores have CCTV cameras inside there's no expected privacy except in like the changing room/bathroom.
