As someone who works at amazon the boxes could most likely be damaged and we send them off anyway. During training your told if the box is damaged (they specifically use Lego sets as an example) it’s only cosmetic damage and is still fine to send out as the set is fine inside but during Christmas time we’re told not to as it’s more likely to be a present

I can understand why Amazon has this policy, they didn't become a world-owning retail juggernaut by throwing away stock willy nilly after all..... but especially with something like Lego, anything collectible, the boxes are such a vital part of the long-term value of the product that I'm surprised they haven't stopped sending out damaged boxes just from the number of refunds they'd have to process from AFOLs. Mind you, I suppose hardcore collectors wouldn't use Amazon, so maybe it's just kids that are losing out from this.

I’m not too impressed with the creator dragons that are slight variations on the same theme(same colors, same shape, same wings). Elves dragons are okay, especially if you mix together the dragon parts. Griefbringer was pretty good, but a lot of them rely too heavily on printed pieces/molded pieces for my liking. Then again, I focus on Lego Dragon MOCs and really only look at Lego Dragon MOCs, so I’m heavily biased.

At 12:53 I applaud the 8 year old grandson who built the Creative Expert London Bus. It was intended for people twice his age.
I think the most complex sets I built when I was 8 were the 2003 Takanuva, Makuta, and Takua & Pewku titan sets from LEGO Bionicle.

the sugar cane plastic is called PLA. it is very popular in 3d printing. Please note that you cant compost pla. you need to bring it to a recycling center.

The most ridiculous reviews are the ones that accuse the set of being a rip-off for having more than expected. Reminds me of how people got mad that Peachette was added in Mario Kart 8 over other characters, even though we weren't even promised characters in the first place so getting her is a nice reward.
