Narcissistic Cannibal is another one you should try out! It’s very different from most Korn songs but I think it may be right up your alley. Also, pleaaaase react to Jinjer - Pisces (the live session).
Songs like these are very hard to listen to. I feel though, people who have went through the same abuse, can feel as though someone understands and they are not alone. I don't know if you knew Corey Taylor from slipknot was also abused as a kid. Listen to apocalypto I'm not Jesus featuring Corey Taylor.
The song is about an experience the singer had as a child. He was molested by a family friend who was watching him. When he tried to tell his parents, they asked the family friend, who denied the accusations. The parents chose to believe the family friend instead of their son.
Jonathan Davies(lead singer) was abused in his childhood by his babysitter and when he told his parents they didn t believe him that s why he shouts: "mommy why?" and "daddy why?" . the cry at the end was real , he snaped from the emotion while recording this. Poor tormented man! he is a great person he didn t deserved this!!
Thank you for explaining! Nobody deserves to be treated like that. On a positive note, he turned a painful past into a song that could help others through their own horrible experiences. He definitely deserves to be commended for that. It must have been really hard for him to do.
Welcome to the metal scene, Kurtis. A lot of Metalheads went towards metal because they were bullied, abused and all that shit. The metalcommunity doesnt judge and accepts you for who are. No offense, but you dont have to look or act a certain way, other than you see in the hiphop/rapscene. The metalcommunity is a community of acceptance for everyone, where people dont need to act tough even if it does have that vibe to it. This closeness and acceptance was the only thing that stopped me from doing what I thought was the only way out in highschool.
The metal community is racist as fuck. I love metal, but goddamn the scene has a huge white incel problem. It needs to be resolved. Accept everyone as long as they are not racist, homophobic, incel etc… we can’t promote or tolerate Intolerance, or the scene will inevitably destroy itself.

Respect for sitting and listening to this song.. The meaning behind this story is that his baby sitter was sexually abusing him and he told his mom and she didn't believe him for a long time ppl thought it was his dad abusing him
Took him 20 years to perform this live.... and they still rarely do it. All that emotion at the end is real.... he started reliving the experience in the booth.... I think there is a video recording of the studio session from the KoRn home video called "who then now" Fieldy (bassist) walked in and hugged him. Song is really hard to get through... I refuse to turn it off tho when I hear it out of respect for JD pouring his soul into those lyrics...
yeah, there's a little clip of JD singing the beginning of daddy, but the part you're talking about.. (when fieldy walks in and hugs him) is after singing "kill you", not "daddy".. which is a tough song for JD to sing, but not as hard as daddy i think
"sound like it hurt him to make but he had to do it" yea, that is what the lyrics in the very beginning was about "Mother please forgive me I just had to get out all my pain and suffering" awesome reaction
Jon told the rest of the band to keep playing, no matter what happened. This was unfortunately what happened and I give the entire band serious props for keeping their promise and continuing to play while their singer and friend was in such a devastating position.
The special thing of the Korn debut album as a whole, is simply that it is… RAW. In like; every. Single. Sense. Both in their early sound and emotionally too.
People say that it get's to you. No. It get's to you if you had to experience something like this. I think that by this shocking performance he wants to raise awareness about child sexual abuse. Normal life and mental health severely damaged to the rest of your life, a good and healthy relationship or even any is like a miracle. I wish it rather never began. Monsters are real, they might be closer than you think. ALWAYS LISTEN AND ASK YOUR KIDS, BE AWARE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OTHER KIDS. ALWAYS
As some have stated, it wasn't his father who did this. It was a family friend who babysat him and when he told his parents they didn't believe him. He put it in the context of Daddy to make it more relatable to all who had experienced it. The first time I heard this song, I bawled my eyes out. I had listened to the whole album and had loved very song, when this one came on, it was blunt, raw and torn open that I couldn't control it. I am also a survivor of a similar situation and to hear someone give a screaming and prominent voice to the pain I was forced to keep locked inside was beyond cathartic. I listened to the whole thing beginning to end and although it hurt and I still have a tough time listening to it to this day, I felt better afterwards. That is why to this day I still respect and love Korn so much.
I appreciate you listening to this song it has become one of my favorites he did it to help those who have gone through the same and I can say it helped me. Johnathan has been through a lot throughout his life not to mention his recent loss of his ex wife whom he loves still. He’s the best..
I didn't get to comment on this immediately, since I watch it on my TV with voice commands being paralyzed from the shoulders down and had to wait until I could get on the computer. I have been waiting for you to do reaction to Korn so I was excited to see you finally do one. Jonathan Davis has claimed that he was sexually abused as a child, which is obviously what this song is about. He puts a lot of emotion in most of his singing as he says it's his former therapy especially since going sober since 2008. Song is exactly what you think it's about. There are other songs from Korn, like "blind"" got the life" and more that I would suggest.
this is not a song korn fans listen to alot its a song for the lead singer to release his pain back in the day this was there first album. but im sure this song helped alot of ppl with opening up.
Yeah I don’t listen to this track. It’s like I’m somewhere I’m not supposed to be. Like I’m eavesdropping on a personal situation… like I’m not meant to be there. And knowing what a sweetheart Jon is, and hearing a 6’2 masculine hairy chested man losing all composure is too much… Kill You is great though. Similar vibe but way less heavy and way more retaliatory
Thanks for having the GUTS to do a reaction to this extremely brutal song in every sense. Bravo. Peace. Always tears me up. This song is extremely Important
I didn’t touch you there, mommy said she didn’t care. those lyrics and his emotional voice and the drop tuned 7 string riff with that slap bass and that groove drummer. I knew they were going to be huge, in 1994 they weren’t on the radio or on MTV. Then 96 or 97 everybody was talking about them. No metal band used 7 string guitars and tuned them down a while step to standard A. They made slow tempos heavy because before them everything was how fast can we play. They pretty much created a new genre of metal
I agree with the some of the other comments, this song is tough and heavy even for the biggest Korn fans. Please listen to more of their songs like Coming Undone, Falling away from me, Shoots and Ladders, and Blind are all good choices. They have a lot of great songs.
Honestly the album ends at Helmet In A Bush for me… I can’t ever do this track. The only time I’ll listen is for reaction videos just for that cathartic joint experience. But I don’t just jam to this track.

This is one of the best songs that is not one any of my play lists. With repeated lyrics it tells a story beyond just the words. Its a full narrative of the experience each repetition a new incident, a new level of pain, an evolution of pain into anger, until it all comes back to a raw and very real expression of all of it. Something,. hopefully cathartic. In fact its two narratives on top of each other (imo). The first is the face value "father sexually abusing child and mother not caring or not believing" but the second is the real story. If you re listen to the song the song is more about the parents not believing him despite possible evidence. "Mommy why, your own child" mommy why don't you believe your own child. "My god, saw you watching" you can see the truth with your own eyes, why won't you? Its a master piece of music and an important song that I think few fully understand the full depth of.

This song means alot to me he got molested and rapped by his baby sitter I got rapped by my neighbor 3 doors down I know how it feels and it need ls to be said boys do really get rapped by woman or men it's not just little girls. I've been in the same situation I was rapped when I was like 5 and it damaged me so much
Yeah this song really f*cked me up the first time I heard it. And I personally don't know of another song like it, especially during the time this album came out.
You guys just discovering this??? Korn got me through my childhood. Nobody was ready for this song. It sounds like his parents did it but it wasnt if you listen carefully. It was his baby sitter but his anger was towards his folks for not believing him.
Another Korn song that u should react to that’s pretty sad is Pretty. I don’t want to give anything away but it was really sad when I listened to it for my first time I love Korn with a passion and it’s a sad but great song and it really wakes u up and shows the sadness of this world
Don't know if you will see this comment but him crying at the end was real. H was having a break down. And the studio kept recording to capture is real emotions.
this song is just brutal... no other word comes close. kudos for finishing the song... i've seen other reactors turn off halfway, appalled at whats being described
You'll have e heard some stuff before you just may not know it. They were on damn near every movie soundtrack for like 6 years in the late 90s and early 2000s
Hey Kurtis, I was just noticing as I was going through your back catalog of videos and went to go rewatch the first Slipknot (and metal in general) reaction video you did, so i could pinpoint the moment that you made the extremely GREVIOUS error of stepping into the world of metal, lol. Its not a bad error, quite the contrary. However, I am predicting you are either now currently, or will be in the very near future, in the middle of having to decide whether or not to fully convert over to a metal music reaction channel. Im sure you have noticed the wide view and general support differences between the metal and rap reaction videos. But you do you brotha, I will still support you no matter what. Do what feels right to you and don't let anyone else tell you how to run your channel. Keep up the good work, I know this channel is on the brink of exploding.
Yes, I'm kind of stuck in a weird place right now. I love doing these metal reactions and will continue them no matter what. But I also want to continue reacting to hip hop music and other genres. The problem is, I react to a rap song and it gets a couple hundred views. I react to a metal song and it gets thousands of views and tons of comments. I'm not making these videos JUST for views, of course, but I do want my channel to grow. Hopefully I'll be able to have a healthy mix in the end. Thank you for your support!
Check out King 810. Lead singer is David Gunn and is in the Rap/Hip-Hop world as well. Interesting to compare the styles from metal to hip-hop from the same vocalist.
"...a bit uncomfortable." That's what this song is supposed to make you feel. It's a great song, but not one someone would listen to often. I can't relate to the content of the song personally, but it hits the feels very hard. Not sure I would have chosen this song as a reaction, a review maybe (after listening to it away from the camera)
I was uncomfortable listening to it and I’m used to listening to fucked up shit! It angers me that there are people out there that can put innocent children through this! That man is so brave and so strong to put his story out there like that.
The first time I heard this song I was crying for a half an hour, I don't have the experiences to connect with but hearing him in so much pain just wasn't fun to hear
I know everyone likes to say this song is "deep", but its not "deep", it's straight to the point. There's no deeper hidden or cryptic messages or meanings. What this song is, is "dark". Shit is in your face and dark as fuck...
Whoever requested this is dumb tbh. My guy needs a slow introduction, some context. Throwing him in at the deep end is just uncomfortable for everyone. Smh now his view of Korn is tainted before he's even started. Like people who request A Little Piece of Heaven from A7X for reactors who clearly won't get it. Just behave yourselves
I strongly disagree....and I highly doubt his view of Korn is tainted...I'm sure everyone knows that Korn doesn't make a whole lot of songs about sunshine and rainbows
Though to me nothing will never get more disturbing then Daddy by Korn but another disturbing song I love is called "Iowa" by Slipknot. It's not as realistic and well.. real as this but it's a disturbing song nonetheless.

I love the ending of this track where you can hear Head bawling in the background, followed by the rest of the band…
Everyone there was fucked up.
I actually watched a reaction video to this, and the scumbags laughed through the whole thing
WTF? How can you laugh through this?
React to Motionless in White - Necessary Evil please. Really catchy song (My first song from this band - Voices, my love - Thoughts & Prayers (from new album)) Slipknot, Korn, MiW, System Of A Down and Bring me the horizon my favourite bands)
I wait korn concert in Moscow in summer 2021 😇
Love you reactions man 🤟 Thank you (From Russia with love)
Dude your channel is awesome. You do a great job. This reaction was exactly what most people would think I think. You can’t speak out of terms because like you said you don’t want to say something so vile about a person when it might not be accurate. Great take
got me in tears. my son is sleeping the next room ... sleeping like a price ... he is the love of my life he is all my damn life ... when i hear ......... anyway my life and his will be different
This song means alot to me he got molested and rapped by his baby sitter I got rapped by my neighbor 3 doors down I know how it feels and it need ls to be said boys do really get rapped by woman or men it's not just little girls. I've been in the same situation I was rapped when I was like 5 and it damaged me so much
I'm sorry mate I hope your doing good now
Like your videos man got a new sub. Keep them coming!
Yeah this song really f*cked me up the first time I heard it. And I personally don't know of another song like it, especially during the time this album came out.
Korns still the biggest metal band their 14th album requium comes out feb 5th
That moment when you feel guilty as fuck for headbanging once the lyrics hit you...
You guys just discovering this??? Korn got me through my childhood. Nobody was ready for this song. It sounds like his parents did it but it wasnt if you listen carefully. It was his baby sitter but his anger was towards his folks for not believing him.
no one is ever ready for a song like this.
Another Korn song that u should react to that’s pretty sad is Pretty. I don’t want to give anything away but it was really sad when I listened to it for my first time I love Korn with a passion and it’s a sad but great song and it really wakes u up and shows the sadness of this world
Damn threw you right into the deep end right from the start
Avenged sevenfold "a little piece of heaven"
Hope that's not a first exposure. Good song but really jumping into the deep end like this one.
Don't know if you will see this comment but him crying at the end was real. H was having a break down. And the studio kept recording to capture is real emotions.
this song is just brutal... no other word comes close. kudos for finishing the song... i've seen other reactors turn off halfway, appalled at whats being described
"border line uncomfortable.."
Me- literally crying
You should listen to the whole first album. I’d say best album.
You'll have e heard some stuff before you just may not know it. They were on damn near every movie soundtrack for like 6 years in the late 90s and early 2000s
The only metal song that made me cry for real.
I’m kinda new here but I think a great reaction would be the band jinjer w the song “Pisces”, listen to the studio version on yt!
Kurtis B. If you want a combination of hip hop and metal just react to bulls on parade by, rage against the machine
So sad. I can just see the other bandmates patting him in the back in the end of the song
This song is really deep and meaningful to the singer but I do love your vids mate
I forgot how sad this song really is man, the feels are getting to me
Check out King 810. Lead singer is David Gunn and is in the Rap/Hip-Hop world as well. Interesting to compare the styles from metal to hip-hop from the same vocalist.
Props for this reaction
React to all songs of the first time like : preditactble, need to, clown, blind, liar, shoot and.. etc...
This is like recommending Morte Et Dabo with no context as your first Asking Alexandria song lol
“I’m ready for it”
No no you are not sir none of us were
Finally.... The day has arrived.....
Man this is a tough one, good luck
"...a bit uncomfortable." That's what this song is supposed to make you feel. It's a great song, but not one someone would listen to often. I can't relate to the content of the song personally, but it hits the feels very hard. Not sure I would have chosen this song as a reaction, a review maybe (after listening to it away from the camera)
Deep end first kind of guy I see.
I was uncomfortable listening to it and I’m used to listening to fucked up shit! It angers me that there are people out there that can put innocent children through this! That man is so brave and so strong to put his story out there like that.
the band trying to breakdown the mental breakdown of the singer..
The first time I heard this song I was crying for a half an hour, I don't have the experiences to connect with but hearing him in so much pain just wasn't fun to hear
This a kind song which is base experience
next korn song, react to right now by them, its fucking amazing
React to while she sleeps "empire of silence"
Mr Rodgers is a continuation of this song....
Check out pretty if you want another deep and heavy song to listen too.
I know everyone likes to say this song is "deep", but its not "deep", it's straight to the point. There's no deeper hidden or cryptic messages or meanings. What this song is, is "dark". Shit is in your face and dark as fuck...
thats deeeeeep
ALTER BRIDGE - BLACKBIRD bro please react to that song..it's an emotional song..
Wow you just jumped ball deep into Korn. Honestly with your background I would of recommended a Korn song with skrillex to bring you in.
Yes it’s true sadly
Check out Homegrown from OTEP. Similar vibes.
Listen to Buried Alive by As I Lay Dying backstory time that whole album is crazy but that song really makes the album in my opinion.
Slipknot Disasterpeace in donwlaod 2009 next please its very heavy and dark song
You should check out... Paint It Black (metal cover by Leo Moracchioli)
What I heard was it was a babysitter that did this but that's what I heard so it's not a fact
Though to me nothing will never get more disturbing then Daddy by Korn but another disturbing song I love is called "Iowa" by Slipknot. It's not as realistic and well.. real as this but it's a disturbing song nonetheless.
hypa hypa - eskimo callboy
