Randomness: The origins of Ring Around the Rosy is about the black death that took out almost 2/3 of europe. The ring was the first symptom that would show on the body. Poseys were used to hide the smell of the rotting flesh. the last part of "we all fall down" i think is self explanitory...

Aye, I’ll send you a link a solid live performance of this song, I have watched them all, multiple times. I got you KB. Also, fun fact, JD plays bag pipes in lots of their songs. He said he originally learned to play it because it was the most obnoxious sounding thing he could find. Also, the point of this song was to demonstrate the darkness behind many popular nursery rhymes.

Its about the darker themes in nursery rhymes.
A lot of nursery rhymes date from mid evil times as a way teaching kids about death, and bagpipes are played a funerals. Ring are the Rosey for example was about the symptoms of the the Black Death
