You must be so proud of this build and your ability to get it to this place. Finally sitting in the car with the interior fitted is a special moment, well done Matt.
You dont need to send the SRS module to reset. It can be done with a decent scanner. You have to change that 997 steering wheel and airbag. It looks very dated. Upgrading to the 991.2 style should be very easy.
From a 987 owner with Basalt Black and Sand Beige combo, I'm very familiar with that interior and many parts, especially your interior build. Been there. I love the colors and how they present together. Great job, great fun watching it all come together.
11:45 time to invest in a plastic welder!! It will definitely fix that, and comes in handy with plastic pieces on vehicles. 13:40 get the OEM umbrella for that trim piece 🤓
Never been this excited to see a car be complete on TH-cam. Definitely my #2 fav car TH-camr at this moment. Really impressive considering you do everything mostly yourself. Underrated channel!
FYI for the black windshield cowl trim you can put some ceramic coating on it to restore it to looking new just make sure to buff off excess and apply 2-3 coats
More great progress, Matt! And, of course, great editing skills making for an even more watchable video with the great content! Love your attention to detail, makes it even better! It's beginning to look like the car you've imagined at the beginning.
If youre going to be looking at it through a brand new piece of glass the carpet could use a re-dye especially with the fading at the back but gotta pick your battles, she's looking better than ever
Impressive stuff! Congrats. Trying to match custom colors (like your lovely interior) is a fool's errand. The only way to go is to make a drastic statement with a contrasting color. Black may not be "cool" enough for the kids but this car is begging for new black seatbelts. Just my 3 cents!
Also it looks like you might be missing 3 pieces of frunk trim that covers the release latch and to the left and right of the latch. You can check the 996 for reference
You have gone all out. Make sure to get the upgraded PCCM center control monitor and an updated steering wheel & the DSC suspension controller. Looks good and will look great when you get some nice wheels. Cheers
The connectors for the antennas on the front windows are inside the car on the A pillars on the passenger side, can’t remember if there is an additional one on the passenger side.
The airbag light coming on is a thing that randomly happens to Porsches of this generation when the battery is pulled for an extended time. You just need something like a POR 2.0 to clear the SRS codes.
The shorter format works so much better! And I can't be the only one who felt motion sickness when the Dji camera would constantly adjust as it tried to track you. 😅 What a great build Matt! The 911 is looking amazing man
@matt13ross your seatbelts are backwards... they need to be twisted with the buckle facing the exterior not the seats. Yes, it is sill I know... but I spent half day figuring out if mine were wrong...
I believe that you need all the seats connected, and your seatbelt fastened when you are in the drivers seat to make sure that you don't get the seatbelt warning light. What scanner do you use? Takes a durametric or piwis to clear it properly as well. Other scanners may appear to clear it but don't work. Additionally since the car was previously wrecked there may be an issue with something in the seatbelt connectors?
Regarding the panel below the rear window, that is supposed to have this big gasket…. You will have the water pouring in to the engine area otherwise 😅
Damn good job. I like the colour of the seats and leather trim but I think I'd be tempted (budget allowing) to change all the carpet and carpeted rear area for black... but that comes down to personal taste and wallet size.
That blue aerial connector goes to the gps receiver attached to the underside of the cowl you fitted below the windscreen. It’s on the filter side on the level top bit of the cowl. You could leave it out and buy a PCCM plus instead ;-)
Love the video as always! I noticed your new back window looks like it has heating elements; did you manage to get them hooked up into the wiring, and if not do you have any plans to?
There is a metal panel that goes over the cabin filter, that’s where that blue connectors goes to. I think it is for AM antenna or GPS. Not a fan of the red seatbelts…too much red. You going to need to reset all the faults in every module. Get you a Foxwell NT 530. Will clear all your fault plus allow SOME coding
@@matt13ross should actually be attached to the cowl. I pretty sure about it because I broke my plug when I was removing the cowl. Wish I could attach a picture
@@matt13ross given how much has been done to the vehicle, perhaps wait until after you have done all the shakedown stuff and find a dealer and a comprehensive scan with a PIWIS. May save a lot of time and effort on the long run.
@@matt13ross Not sure if its similar to BMW but I had an air bag light drive me crazy after replacing a door. It was the thin piece of plastic in the connector that stops the bag from short circuting when re-installed. Its super flimsy and brittle on older cars. I was finally able to reset light when I pushed a thin piece of plastic between the gold short circut mechanism in the airbag.
Taking off negative cable wont reset light need to go ing with a quality scanner, not the little hand held ones . Hope this helps .by the way great job thats the kinda work i do and love
Maybe a body impact sensor , if air bag went offor seat belts locked up . Did u change the clock spring in the steering wheel. If the wheel wasn’t locked in place and the shaft turn 180 clock spring went bad
Firstly thanks for posting constantly, really enjoying the build. The car is looking fantastic but the damage to the drivers door card is killing me, are you thinkng of getting it repaired or changed? Look forward to the next episode.
The optical connector you are wondering is ofen use as gps anthena. Mine was green on my c2s tho. But everything that communicate with the car will be optical so dvd changer/ gps / anthena would be my guess.
That connector is antenna. Some models have antenna in A pillar. That actually looks like it should be the one on INSIDE of cabin. Sure it did not get pulled through into hood area by mistake ?
As previous comments mentioned, the radio antenna is actually in the front windshield. I am unsure where exactly the connector is , I suspect that it should have been plugged in during the glass installation process.
@@matt13rossI just went and looked on my 997TT. You are correct that the FM antennas are in the A pillars. I’m 99% sure this is the GPS antenna that is directly above the cabin filter. It’s hard to see with the cowl on, but you should be able to plug it in. It’s useless, but might as well plug it in!
Seatbelt color works well. But the carpet looks pretty bad and faded. Sorry for the tough love, but it needed to be cleaned and redyed when it was out.
You should tale this time to install a dashcam. Not only is it helpful i. Case of an accident but you could probably use it as part of your videos for interior talks and exterior recordings.

@@matt13ross you need a scan tool to diagnose. Piwis 3 my recommendation.
I've got one.
@@matt13ross then you are all set! With piwis you can even tell/program the ECU for not to check SRS faults.

connects to the antenna inside the A pillar... loving seeing this come together!
I wasn't keen on the interior till you added the seats. Looks sweet.
Have loved this entire build series, dude!
Much love from the UK. Keep the content coming and keep that god-awful truck off my screen. TIA.
Don't hate the truck!! Lol
Love the colour of the car. Even love the interior.
Love the paint and interior color, would have spec’ed this from the factory!
I prefer contrasting seatbelts so I would have stuck with black personally, but the ones you got match well enough that they could be OEM.

kudos to the hard work, amazing how far you've gone, and actually you've done this amazingly fast
Great episode! I enjoyed the summary style video.
Such a great build. I get excited when I get the notifications for your videos. Almost time to rip it around!

Coming along nicely! I like the red belts with the interior...
Looks amazing Matt! The seatbelts look factory, the cars color combo is a KNOCK OUT!
Really good work. Impressive. Colours are very nice.

Yep I would have taken it a step further and changed the colour, personal preference tho
Incredible build Matt! The nardo grey matches the grey accents in the interior, and IMO the seat belt colour looks great!
