This car surpasses the yellow one, i absolutely love the colour combo. This has been an amazing journey where you have tested yourself to new levels of car maintenance. Brilliant job Matt.
I am so impressed at what you were able to do with a couple of chassis and pile of Porsche 911 parts. You make it look so easy but we all know it's not. I am happy that you are almost finished but I am going to miss your transformational 911 videos. I hope you do another Porsche project in the future. Great job...
Looking forward to finally seeing it fully painted and assembled! Also the fuel door was probably just stuck on the locking mechanism if the car auto-locked
It looks so good! Personally i thing gray is one of the more bland colors on a car but the transformation is amazing! I especially love that beautiful interior
Matt, absolutely incredible what you have done with this car, took a long time but this is just great, no other words. Time to start looking for a 991 ;)
Awesome, Matt! I love to see the impressive progress and, of course, the awesome editing! And, no, don't go with the the carbon fiber intakes, IMO best to keep it looking stock. An aside, I prefer a 3 channel dash cam in my truck (I'll be doing that in my e34 soon). Even so, another great vid! :)
@@matt13ross Currently, a 535i, 1990. I used to have an e34 525i but lost it in a head-on crash with, what else, a Mustang. Then, I really wanted a 750 e32. Had that for a while but too many issues on a poorly cared for car. My current e34, I bought from the original owner 5 years ago and it's a breeze to work on compared to the 750iL V12.
Way to keep up the hard work and dedication and find a way to get the transmission out in the last video 😎 Hopefully the Poorsche shirts make a comeback one day. Following along. 💪
Excellent work sir! I would just suggest the window trim (or even just the b-pillar) might look really nice wrapped in forged-carbon-fiber-look vinyl. I wrapped the chrome window trim of my Panamera Turbo in gloss black vinyl (mimic the look of a Panamera GTS), and covered the b-pillars with the forged-carbon-look vinyl - and I get a lot of compliments with that subtle touch. 🙂
I missed a few weeks but man the garage looks great, of course the Porsche's do as well ..from BMW to Porsche so i guess its only natural Ferrari is next .
I appreciate it looks amazing, you’ve worked hard, and I love seeing the progress, but I’m at that time of life where I just think I could go and buy a new car without the hassle. So I do, well done though Matt. Looks amazing.
I admire your dedication & fortitude to not give in the car looks amazing the interior the colour you chose to paint it even the wheels look good (& if you’re old ones are RUF they are worth $$’s) I have enjoyed this build immensely & the last one please buy another Porsche for the next project & do what you are doing best 👍👍👍👍🙏🇬🇧 P.S. maybe a GT2-GT3..?????!!! 🙏
@@matt13ross i was just basing my comment because i had to replace my vw's sensor and it looked odd and i noticed the old sensor had a gasket i had to swap over.
Hi Mat, Love your videos! I am about to replace my side mouldings and have to drill out the rivets. Did you have to do this earlier? How did you catch the rivet heads that fall into the rear fender? Cox if we don't remove those heads they will eventually bulge into the fender causing dimples. Would love you hear how you did it. Thank you!
Nice. The Turbo wheels are looking good. I still like the forged race wheels too. I'd have them powdercoated charcoal metallic and see if you like them better. If not, you've got super nice refinished wheels to sell.
@@matt13ross I know, you've said that before. I just think most aftermarket wheels look cheap/fast-and-furious. And for all that is holy...don't go with black wheels.
Carbon side vents for the win along with mirror caps in carbon. And does the car have air con but its not charged? or does not have it because race car?
Are you using regular cloth tape or "Tesa Tape" that's made for wire harnesses? Because one will melt into a goo and be a hazard and the other is purpose made for this application lol Love seeing it come together!
Not sure what to think of the comment a few weeks later it’s done, but they didn’t have time to paint the bumper and spoiler…… If your battery is almost dead after that drive, you have a massive drain somewhere She does look great though !!
Body color vents all day. Carbon/ black just looks like a hole in the car. Should've had the body shop fill those bumperette holes for the Euro bumper look.
this car looks PHENOMENAL! and the grey colour is sweet on it. those rims? i know they’re probably going off soon but they’re holding up this car nice in the meantime. what a journey it has been for this car🤌🏾

the new camera person is a win ... the 997 turbo a diamond .... makes me miss my 997.
you me both bruther
I'm here for the color-matched air intakes aka side vents.
the grey intakes look great, fits much better to the 911 hips than carbon inlets. the shadows of the intakes add a nice dark contrast, subtle accents.
Dude, you literally keep the spray window cleaner market going and use it on everything! Nice.
This car surpasses the yellow one, i absolutely love the colour combo. This has been an amazing journey where you have tested yourself to new levels of car maintenance. Brilliant job Matt.
Thank you! This color combo is my favorite.
It is so satisfying to finally see the side intake trim pieces go on… I’ve been waiting for months lol😂
Nice one Matt loving the journey you are taking us on big respect on doing all these jobs yourself 😊
Body Colour vents for me. Looking smart mate!
I’m genuinely impressed. Really a gem
Matt this project turned out really well.
997 Turbo is one of the best!
Man! That color with the terracotta interior looks so good!
I hoped that from the start!
Hey Matt, love to see the 997 coming together. You've done a great job and you are a very patient guy.
Yes, to the carbon fibre air vents on the side.
She’s looking amazing, I’m excited to see the rear wing!
Same here!
lets go!! I recently got a 997 Turbo S!
Keep up the great work Matt. Just dessert for your efforts!
Killing it with the videos lately Matt, first thing I watch with my coffee.

Yes carbon everywhere
My bumperette delete just shipped. Can’t wait to see how it looks.

Lock is in the in position. Hinge just doesn't want to spring the whole way shut.
Excellent use of hammers and JB Weld!
That's right!
Keep the side vents coloured matched. Carbon looks cheap.
Man this car looks way better than the other one!!
Which one? Lol

Yes please get carbon GT2 IC scoops, makes 997s look so much better without the dividing piece!
Better TH-cam content to make his own by cutting up the stock ones.
She looks phenomenal!
The wheels look’s great on there for sure, the car is really clean. I have a 2017 991.2 Carrera !!!
Wow, almost there, so exciting! Congrats and give us new footage of your new dash cam :D
Keep it going buddy
Great Job Matt!

Find me a cheap crashed 991 lol
Awesome work. Looks beautiful
Carbon side vents absolutely
On the CF side vents... I think it looks better without. Plus, if you go CF on them, then you need to get CF mirrors and.... slippery slope.
Agree 100%
I live on a slippery slope lol
Fantastic work. Thanks for the content
Glad you enjoy it!
Amazing what you acomplished....💪
It looks so good Matt! You should try contacting the original owner (that old guy that dropped off the blue car) and take him for a ride in it
He lives very far away but maybe!
Looks great. you need to get the headlight rings painted.
I like the black.
5:50 GOLD! 😂

Consider some mesh behind the side grills for the air intake

Good!
Should you get a set of those in carbon?
-Absolutely, color matching is overwhelming enough, it will give a nice contrast to the 911
That's what I was thinking.
Awesome
A really good paint shop will only lose half the parts you give them. So good luck with that.
Hahaha so true!
I think the bumper sensors need a tiny gasket that surrounds it. I can't tell in the video if you added it.

Those are factory sport covers.
