I remember getting this game around my 19th birthday in 2004. So much fun playing it, and the second stage music in the first world was later remixed for Wario Land: Shake It!
Had no idea how much Treasure would influence me as a kid. It was insane finding out how much stuff they were behind that formed my vidya tastes. This one will always have a special place in my heart since it was the first Treasure I got to play
Childhood favorite! Wario World is one of the first games I bought with the official player's guide. Man, I used to stay up all night playing this. It was fun finding all the treasure.
3:08:50 That puzzle always stumped me when I was young, now I feel more stupid knowing how simple it actually was after this person solved it that quickly. Edit: 3:12:00 Ok, I was wrong. This is the one that stumped me. The other one was hard to figure out too, but this one is an infamous one to solve and get the crystal.
But then again, you think Nintendo would ever realize that Wario doing selfless acts to earn his weight in gold is what kept those Wario platformers coming, especially when they have multiple endings? In Wario Land 1, the best outcome is paying a Genie with 5 bags of gold to get Wario’s wish of getting a castle (while getting 6 bags results in Wario owning an entire planet). The worst outcome is getting a bird house if you pay one bag of gold. This same logic applies here on WarioWorld. One saved Spriteling (which is by default) will only get you stuck in the middle of a swamp with a tent; but saving more will make your living conditions become more apparent, with 31-39 Spritelings giving you back the Castle in it’s original state, but rescuing all Spritelings gives you extra treasures as a bonus. Wario Land Shake It is the only Wario Land game where it has a single ending resulting in him getting nothing in return. At least with WarioLand 3 with it’s single ending, Wario took the entire music box world with him, supposedly if he ever wants to visit there while at home. And Wario: Master of Disguise ended with Wario having all the treasure the Count Cannolis of the past have had. If anything, Wario Land Shake It is an insult to Wario as a character; not only for what he did prior to Shake It, but that Nintendo made the player unsatisfied with Wario’s actions leading to a sick twist of karma.
To become like Wario, you have to play the game. Shoulder Tackle Pile Driver Arm Throw Ground Pound Wario is all muscles when it comes to lifting weights.
I finished this game last month and absolutely loved it, but I was kind of let down by the absence of any post-game content, considering how excruciating it is to 100% complete the game (especially the final bonus area...)
It's a fun rental but I never wanted to own it. It's pretty one-dimensional. I can't say that my enjoyment of the game increased much after the first level.
@@lordrumpkin1412 Well, considering it was made by Treasure, a company that primarily develops linear action / shoot 'em up games, that's a very accurate description
Sometimes you collect treasure. Other times, treasure collects you. And still other times, you have to beat your treasure into submission, Wario-style. That aside, I’m really digging the vibe they gave the music in this game.
Nuuu after all them years of working hard...and greedily lol Poor Warior. Leave it to him to unknowingly own a a piece of crystallized Cthulhu poop. PS Shout out to Crash Bandicoot, cause that warp hub :P
@@squirtkipfan0136Wario did get his own castle at the end of SML3 depending on how much coins and treasure you collected. In the 100% ending, he got his own planet.
One thing that pisses me off about the game is that there’s no voice acting during the cutscenes. Nintendo, how the hell can you have anime cutscenes but no voice acting? Blasphemy! I demand a remaster!
I’ve never seen a game where the main character looks like he’s having the time of his life on his journey!
Just bought this game and started playing. I'm having a total blast. It’s definitely a hidden gem.

Cirno before the ugly fumos.
Wario is literally the most hilarious Nintendo character!
It's amazing how many games you have completed. Keep up the great work!
Several people play the games on this channel… Still an impressive feat, though…
To play this game, you just need to put on a Wario smile and imitate what he's saying.

You think Wario will *ever* learn that some treasure should just be left alone?
…Yeah, me neither. 😓

Think if we bully Nintendo enough they'll make a new Wario game that isn't Wario Ware?
From the Makers from Gunstar Heroes, Astro Boy: Omega Factor, McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure, Advance Guardian Heroes & Gunstar Super Heroes
And Dynamite Headdy
Mischief Maker
