Arroz Doce - Portuguese Sweet Rice Pudding

- Portuguese Rice Pudding - “Arroz Doce”, is a traditional Portuguese dessert recipe made with rice, sugar, milk, egg yolks, cinnamon and lemon peel.
It is a typical and very traditional Christmas dessert but also about the whole year in Portugal.
👉🏼 INGREDIENTS:
• 130g of short grain white rice
• 1 cinnamon stick
• lemon peel
• 1.4 liter of milk
• 200g of white sugar
• 2 egg yolks
• cinnamon for garnish
cooking time: Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat and let simmer for around 60 minutes.

I’ve had rice pudding in the past but they all tasted subpar - the rice was either undercooked or it tasted diluted, but yours looks delicious😍 I’m tempted to give this a try now 😂🙏

The Portuguese swwet rice pudding is mainly eaten at Christmas time, but is also offered as a dessert in restaurants all year round.😋
