- Aletria was probably brought to the Iberian Peninsula by the Moors in the eighth or ninth century. It is remained in Portugal and incorporated into Portuguese cuisine.
“Aletria Doce” is a typical and delicious Portuguese sweet noodle dessert; it is served at Christmas and other celebrations.
This classic is made with basic ingredients: eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, fine noodles and lemon peel.
The preparation is very easy and fast. "Aletria" are vermicelli and "doce" means sweet.
Aletria Doce is a soothingly soft and creamy treat, everybody loves.
👉🏼 INGREDIENTS:
• 1 liter of whole milk
• 130 g of very fine egg noodles
• 2 - 3 egg yolks
• 100 g of sugar
• 1 cinnamon stick
• lemon peel
• ground cinnamon
Cooking time: about 10 - 12 Minutes
