Aletria Doce - Portuguese Sweet Noodle Dessert

Aletria was probably brought to the Iberian Peninsula by the Moors in the eighth or ninth century. It is remained in Portugal and incorporated into Portuguese cuisine.
“Aletria Doce” is a typical and delicious Portuguese sweet noodle dessert; it is served at Christmas and other celebrations.
This classic is made with basic ingredients: eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, fine noodles and lemon peel.
The preparation is very easy and fast. "Aletria" are vermicelli and "doce" means sweet.
Aletria Doce is a soothingly soft and creamy treat, everybody loves.
👉🏼 INGREDIENTS:
• 1 liter of whole milk
• 130 g of very fine egg noodles
• 2 - 3 egg yolks
• 100 g of sugar
• 1 cinnamon stick
• lemon peel
• ground cinnamon
Cooking time: about 10 - 12 Minutes
