Arroz Doce - Portuguese Sweet Rice

Arroz Doce is a traditional Portuguese dessert topped with Cinnamon. This has been my favorite dessert since i was a little girl and still is to this day. This creamy Arroz Doce is so delicious.
Arroz Doce
Ingredientes;
5 xícaras de leite
2 xícaras de água
1 pau de canela
2 cascas de limão
2 xícaras de arroz branco de grão curto
1/4 colher de chá de sal
2 colheres de sopa de manteiga sem sal
2 xícaras de açúcar
4 gemas de ovo
Canela em pó

I'm from Acores,,, ever since i was a little we always eaten this. love it. Only thing is i don't put butter, hubby don't like it. :D i did learned something though,, the wrong about of milk, I always added water of course :D thanks so much,, i really enjoyed your baking site,,, thanks so much for sharing these amazing delicious receipts with us all.... yummies!!

Thank you... If you don't have a cinnamon stick you can add a pinch of cinnamon to the milk...as a substitute. 😊

Not for sweet rice... I simply look through the rice and pick out the darker rice (if there are are any) and remove them. Thank you for your question.👍🏻😊
