Hey! I thought I'd share the way ive driven in fork seals both times I've done fork rebuilds. I use PVC like you, but I take enough pvc material off between the pieces that they are able to be clamped to the fork tube with one or two large hose clamps, then the entire fork tube is used as a slide hammer.
more good stuff, just wondering if you have tried aluminium specific cleaner? Chemtech Blitz is what I use, about $20 a litre of concentrate from bunnings. Its great stuff, used it on almost all raw aluminium on my rm250. Leaves a bright but not over the top finish, as close to oem as i could achieve and can be diluted way down to be safe.
Hi fantastic build series mate, i got a quick question. So I just bought a 1992 rmx250 and have been searching all over the net to find a exhaust system to fit it... Yes I've been on lots of forums with info on interchangeable parts but can't find anything on the 92 models anybody got any ideas it would be greatly appreciated cheers.
Hey MotoApe - there's a really good facebook page for this era of RMs - facebook.com/groups/231474913851717/ Worth asking the question there mate. I do have a new old stock Pro-Circuit works pipe for the 92 RMX that I might sell if you're interested. Cost me a lot of money though...
Hi thanks for the reply, how much is alot? I also found a full Pro Circuit system being sold by www.chaparral-racing.com/, around £500 delivered to the UK cheers
G9Garage I just enquired through my local Suzuki dealer...they can source all plastics ex japan.....not cheap, but available... a local guy has 2 nos radiator covers for $100 still in the Suzuki packaging
Everyone talks about forks being a nightmare.. your vid lays it out in a very easy understandable way.. i'm loving this build.. albeit old an all..

Beautiful work, love your serial video.
Fantastic as always! In order to make driving in the seals easier next time throw a hose clamp around the PVC pipe to hold the two pieces together :)
Thanks! On the second fork I used a zip tie to do exactly that...
Beautifull as always! :)

Yeah I'll replace them all. The front number plate is OEM Suzuki but the rest will be aftermarket unfortunately. I'm using UFO stuff.
