Thanks dude! Yeah it's all about all of those small details that become one entity. A quote that I like on that concept is basically, lots of simplicity creates complexity. Doing pigments FX sounds super interesting! That would be fun to explore for sure
Ha, you're totally feeling that inspiration with Pigments Fire! So amazing. I was going through the Pigments 5 presets and DAMN Pigments is totally cool and weird now. There's this darker, eerie quality to them that you don't hear on most synths. I think they're carving a niche for those that love creating electronic music, but not nessisarily EDM genrrs like what Avenger's presets aim for. So, its like Falcon's Gothic Dream horror sibling
Oh man I haven't been able to put pigments down at all. I mean I rarely do but especially now with version 5. I've been cranking out so many patches. For some reason I always end up making dark or eerie or even creepy patches in pigments lol
I've just followed your tutorial all the way until the squencer part. Sounds correct. I tried to learn some sound design in the meantime. Maybe it's a bit heavy as a beginner tutorial, haha. I noticed two things. The engine 1, Wavetable does not do much and can be disabled without much difference. The same goes for the utility engine. For my own liking, I disabled the sequencer and both delay effects. I do my arps manually and i often think delay effects makes it a bit muddy.
I just bought it. It was not 150 presets like I thought, it was close to 2000 presets. One pack for each version, one large factory pack and 3 external packs included. On top of that I got it for a crossgrade price of $69, even tho I have not bought anything from them before, just some free stuff. It will be really fun to explore this thing.
Cool patch, and nice because I'm kind of underwhelmed by the new presets included in 5. I also wish they would fix the "feature" that causes a voice that you mark as "like" (heart) to jump to the top of the patch list when you are auditioning, making you have to scroll back down to where you were to continue.
That feature does sound kind of annoying, that constant scrolling back down. Hopefully a fix comes for that. I think more than the presets, the wavetables themselves are all super inspiring!
