Just finished the Pigments course and it was easy to understand and follow and you kept me engaged and eager to hit the "complete and continue" buttons to see what was next. As usual, a comprehensive and in depth look at a complicated synth by a sound design master! Really appreciate all that you do. Your courses are phenomenal! Loved the short haircut reveal in the last chapter! Weirdly seemed like your voice changed as well but I'm sure that was in my head. Thanks again! 😀

I'm impressed that you ventured into additive land! Most people seem so afraid of it.
Love these tutorials. You cover so much in each one. You go quickly, but it's a video that can always be paused/rewound.

If you're on the fence about the course, I have purchased all of Anthony's courses, and this is a great entry point to the huge scope of sound design info he offers in the other course. Get this, learn EVERYTHING about Pigments, then go waaaaaay deeper with his other ones. Totally worth it. No, he is not paying me, I'm just grateful-the best music-learning investment I've made hands down. 😆

    Great rundown.
However, the _thumbnail_ promised a spiffy new haircut...

Ha I was wondering if someone would notice that lol. Made the thumbnail last night post haircut but shot the vid prior.

For those wondering, the BPM of this track is around 144-ish... This is a great tut! I have had pigments for almost 2 years and haven't played with it all that much. This opened my eyes to the possibilities and loved the growly bass section. Looking forward to making my way through the course and appreciate you bringing it to world!

This is such a great video.. subscribed. Pigments looks so intimidating, but you really break it down nicely in this video.

Awesome video. I have been using pigments for a while now but never really messed with the combination functions. I definitely will be trying them out tonight!

I bought Pigments for its incredible modulation finesse, and largely for ambient textures. I'm not exactly impressed with the sounds you chose to pawn it off as a do all synth. But it's good that you're promoting the lessons for it. Good luck! 👍

Pigments is really good and versatile, especially for Techno, where it shines!
do more tutorials about it, mainly about the sequencer which is super powerful!

Pigments and Phaseplant has pretty much replaced Serum for me. Pigments does have a vast amount of sound library including other Arturia stuff.

If price isn’t an issue, should I get pigments 5 or serum?

What a great run through, really helpful, though it takes me x5 the time to actually work out what you are doing! One question, is the new Pigments course suitable for someone like me, who has limited understanding of synth programming, having only been doing this for 18 months as hobby? you seem like an expert, just want to make sure i would be able to follow it? Great vid, as usual.

    • @SeedtoStage
      @SeedtoStage  ปีที่แล้ว +3

The course is laid out as if you don’t know what any of the controls do or what the signal path is. So a complete synthesis beginner could take it and learn everything they need to know, it definitely is paced quickly once the basics are covered but you get lifetime access to the course if you get it so you can always rewatch and recap at your own pace.

Brill, i started the course yesterday and it is fab, really clear as well as concise, plus inspirational from the start, i would not hesitate in recommending it to others. M

I used to work at a drum store and we used to make fun of this dude who always referred to the kick drum as the "kick bass." So yeah I did a little spit take before I knew you were referring to a whole other thing
