Nailed it brother
Thanks 🙌
Great video bro!
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Great video!! Thank you
You’re welcome 🙌
If I were to try to use a mixing ratio to "standardize" this technique, what would suggest? 2:1 clearbase to black? 3:1? Also, what is the advantage to doing it this way versus just over-reducing base?
So I'm following everything you do. What I would like to see is a suggestion as to if you were doing this job at ur home for an income, question...how much would you charge. What's the lowest you'd charge???
Thanks for watching. For a job like this I would charge no less than $120 per light. Just to be clear I was talking about just the headlights
Awsome!
Hi Mario, I've added the Segola extreme clear gun to my guns and I'm already looking into adding the Segola Mini Jet with a 1.3 tip for small repairs and clear lenses as well. I need your help as with adapter your using to incorporate the PPS 2.0 system to the Segolas. Do you know the part number for the adapter. I get Segola from Eastwood Co. but they are not too familiar with Segolas since they only special order. By the way I'm adding the Mini Jet Gun because I do paint wheels as well and it's hard to get into the small areas with a regular size gun. That PPS System 2.0 would be great to add on the Segolas. Thanks Mario. Blessings

@@mariopaintclass6091 Thanks Mario, I'll get on it and keep up the great work.
@@justice5699 thanks
hey mario, I'm smoking some halo style fog lights.
Any tips or tricks for painting difficult curved surfaces? Im using the iwata LPH80, but getting in small curved areas without spraying too much on other areas is difficult, especially doing a lightly smoked look. Any un even coverage is very obvious.
Narrow the fan and drop the pressure and mist it. Also adjust your distance. Just remember when the fan gets narrow the pressure gets higher for example 20 psi would now be 40 psi.
I'll try that. Tonight I'll try spinning it on a lazy susan and see if that helps
Ok another question@mariopaintclass6091
My color ends up looking more brown than black. What brand / formula can you recommend that won't have blue or brown tones? I also tried candy black and that gave a blue hue
Bro where are you doing your work i need that for my car.
I’m at Acura of Pembroke Pines Fort Lauderdale fl
hello can i use fast hardened? or itll affect
Hey, you can use the fast, but bear in mind fast is only for colder temperatures. If it’s hot and you use fast it’s going be drying too quick and that may cause issues.
@@mariopaintclass6091 have you tried the Iwata Mini gun LPH-80 Im looking for one mini gun just for headlight restauration
Hi mario, im just wondering if using the blending addictive+ black will it works too? 🤔
That’s a valid question I’m not sure tho. Maybe you can run an experiment
@@mariopaintclass6091 I'll update you if i tried 😁. I believe its possible even with basecoat balancer/binders.
Hi Mario (AKA Mr Teacher Sir🍎) I've never seen lights tinted like that before but it makes sense I suppose as you have more control over the amount of tint you require. The only way I've seen it done is by adding black basecoat to the clear, I'm wondering if you could use different colours so if you had a red car you could use a red basecoat or whatever colour your car is🤔probably a stupid idea🙄🤣
I've never heard of that Transparency additive either, all I have in my scheme is clear binder or clear basecoat I'm wondering if you could use that, anyway great video mate and very interesting👍John UK
Thanks John, I don’t believe it would be stupid to add the color you like. Transparent enhancer and clear base is the same thing.
Curious if you’ve tried this method with laser veil stealth coating, and if so how it worked. I don’t have a professional spray gun so mine always came out at
least a little streaky. I’d love to apply it to my new vehicle if it comes out nearly as good.
Again it’s not worth me buying a good spray gun, I’d have to take
Them somewhere. The veil does work well at absorbing those apx 900nm wavelengths.
Never tried it mate.
Is that civic your car bro ?
Yeah
I’m going to go ahead and take responsibility for not adding any safety or illegal information. Tinted or smoked lights can be illegal if they are completely blocked out or too dark too see any of the original color.
We know you're only providing info for "offroad purposes only," mi bredrin Mario. 😂
Well, for the sake of content I suppose...
Just put a bit of black paint into your mix clear and spray it! Yall don’t need to do all this
Can't do that if you run a waterborne paint system like Sikkens Autowave. Then you have to do it like the video.
