This was SOOOOO helpful! Thanks man!!!
@sergioschaefer7980 You're welcome, glad it helped!!!
Hi from Poland its really cool to watch Your Flow ❤ keep doin that
Thank you friend! I'll keep up the flow, just for you!!!
Im trying this today
Let us know how it goes!
I got a roll of blue film to do my headlights from Temu for a ridiculous $1.60
Lots of options out there and it's a VERY affordable mod 👌
@@shometinthow did it go ? Is it holding up good? A lot of folks seriously recommended to not buy headlight tints from temu special based off the price because it’s bad quality and your headlights will cause mini acne looking bubble from the heat caused by the headlights being hot
@@ElevationRequiresSeperation1 I can confirm your suspicion on the quality of the film from temu. I bought a roll of yellow headlight tint and it easily bubbles with moderate heat.
GThanks for this information on how to do it, it helped me a lot.
Awesome, any other questions reach out. Happy to help!
The tinted headlights fire
This was very helpful. I have a motorcycle that I just purchased a sticker kit for. Do you have a video on that???
We have one coming up very soon with us adding a kit to a side by side. That would be a very similar application.
@@shometint awesome. Looking forward to seeing it.
Excellent vid! Thanks
You're welcome, hope it helps!!!
Where’d you pick up your “headlights” flashlights? those are handy!
They are snap-op brand!
so whats the difference between window tint and headlight tint?
Both are made for their specific applications. You would not get the desired results if you were to switch the roles of the material.
One is meant for inside, away from the elements. The other is designed for outdoor use and has more flexible properties to curve around newer more challenging angles some new lights have. Window tint would not survive such severe turns/curves that the headlights have.
You made it look so easy bro I keep getting wrinkles 😂
You can do it!
🔥🔥🔥
Fire baby!!!! 🔥
what % is it? i want mine a slight bit lighter
This company offers 3 different levels, this was the middle.
what percent of tiny
Luxe offers a light, medium and dark. This was light.
To dark!
-DONT tint ur headlights unless ur gonna drive it only in daylight. It reduces the light brightness dramatically
Wow really? Figured covering a light bulb would make it brighter.. thanks bro i won’t do it now
Seeing how blindingly bright headlights are these days I'm sure they'll be fine
False information, headlight/taillight tint is different from normal tint. It’s designed to let a lot of light out.
@NuDineroBeats i guess i bought the wrong stuf. Its that vht brand
@@ozkrpalminteri9431yea vht is spray tint, I used it on one of my older vehicles years ago. Definitely shouldn’t use spray tint on headlights. It doesn’t let light out as good as film.
Just got my tints for my headlight, and I was going to pay someone to put it on, but u made it look to easy. I'm doing in myself. Thank u for the video
Let us know how it goes!!!
Cheers bro 👌
Do have a link or a good place where we can buy headlights tint thanks appreciate your help
@@larryhaslondude I literally got mines off temu for 4 dollars very cheap I recommend you get it from there and not Amazon that’ll cost you 30 bucks …
I would want to do myself but don’t have the heat gun did u buy one or what did y do?
Thanks for the straightforward video and no nonsense talk! Rockin the detail world!
Glad you liked it!!! We have more coming soon!
dude, you're killin' it! keep up the great work
Thank you!!
Thank you both!
would it be easier to tint while off the car mine are right now, should i put them on before tinting?
@Eli_89321 off of the vehicle you will generally have more control of the application and would have no risk of accidentally cutting into your vehicles paint when trimming it out.
I used water first time with heat gun. No bubbles. Just tinted them again with divx last week. No water and a heat gun again. No bubbles after I finished , even 24hrs later. Figured I was good. Now they look like they have teenage acne. I’m gonna try and find this brand of tint. Dreading removing the adhesive for a 2nd time. Thanks for the video man
Several methods to do it, but results can vary. Glad the video can help ya!
@@shometintdude I don’t think you needed to water if the tint already has adhesive I maybe wrong but u just clean your lights and stick it on like he just did
my god , i tried using vvivd wrap , i thought i was going to have a stroke , it was thick film
This is one of those things that is 100x harder when you try do it yourself 😅
@@LeeroyHad I've had a little practice over the years 😆 🤣
indeed
You mentioned debris pickup from bad paint. If your lens is fading or crusty, the film will stick to the failing surface and not the lens.
Was a crazy, but expected surprise on my wife's WRX. Keep up the good work!
Great point!
I'm from Malaysia. Like the way you make your video bro. Thumb's up, keep up the good work.
Wow! Welcome to the channel and thank you for the support from so far away!
Wow, you have potential the whole time I was cracking up on the jokes you were making hell yeah stay up
Cute and funny .. not that it’s relevant.
Is it a certain type film to use instead of standard film ? It’s a difference when it come to stretching the film
Excellent Video! Thanks for such a detailed work.
You're welcome. Hope it helps you!
Doing it myself. Thank you!
So..
Your film looks more soft , I just made mine 10 minutes ago but the film was very rigid , unbelievable hard to pull it and give shape
Luxe film is what we use. Can't speak for other brands, but I'm sure other brands can work just as well.
Cool video, thanks! I wonder if a 1-way reflective clear or light tint would look cool on headlights.
I'm not sure, give it a try and let us know!!!
how is the headlight looking like new, all your doing is covering up the old, faded headlight. LMFAO
@ravenneo6466 The headlight film is glossy and new. You can't see the faded headlight beneath it. LmFaO back at ya champ!
I didn't think I could be rough with a wrap
Thanks ... no one around where I live will tint headlights. I know I can do after seeing your video.
I like your confidence!
How do you wrap the little interior trim. Like around air vents and such
Sometimes we remove it and have it auto flexed but if the surface is flat and smooth we are able to wrap it. Please be careful when trimming those pieces out because customers hate it when you cut the car. 😉
Do a 4Runner
@matthewschmitt2454 Next time we have one in the shop, I'll see what I can do!
It’s harder then it looks lol
It can be, depending on the style of headlight. Don't give up. Keep trying!
@@shometint was my fog lights
I've been trying to do this on a few of my bikes and scooters and it's a painful learning experience to say the least 😂 I think an exacto knife works best when doing smaller lights such as, a bike headlight or scooter light or any fog lights
Inspirational words and video very moving great job!
Thank you!
Just came across your channel! Look forward to seeing what else you can put out.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great video man. Thinking I will use a hair dryer in replacement of a heat gun, do you think that would work?
Thanks. As much as I'd like to say yes, I just don't think a hair dryer can get to a high enough temp.
Im here for the Tortillas. 😃
Ha! You've got it!
Just ordered some fly eye tint and going to diy it in the next week have u got instagram i would love to share before and after shot
@@thesvbandit would love to see it!
instagram.com/shometint?igsh=MXNrZDRlMHFnM2RoMA==
I want to do this on mine but how much does it kill the headlight output at night? Or does it not at all?
It depends on the shade. A lighter tint will allow almost all the light to pass through.
It was way easier taking the three bolts out of the headlight and pulling it out
How is removing the headlight easier than not removing it and putting the tint on? It's in place, and won't move. There's always a negative comment in the section that makes absolutely no sense at all, congratulations dumbo
Could a HD road glide headlight be tinted green? And still be street legal.
@@chadledford7928 You will need to check with your state/local laws on that one.
Good video. I just ordered some. I’ll be tinting the lights on my riding mower, ATV, and Silverado
Riding mower! Gotta cut in style!!! Love it.
@@shometint Yeah, it’s the red one in my profile picture. I have already made many other mods to it. Thanks.
Hello. Can you advise me please! The video shows the guy using no water on the headlight before applying the vinyl tint. I some people spray water on the headlight before attaching the vinyl? How do I know which method to use? Thanks:)@
I have to dew a Nissan leaf 🌿 thanks for the pep talk
Anytime, my friend!
Yeaaah you just saved me $100 I’m about to do this rn😭😂😂
Good luck!!!
That light goe on your neck
Great vid bro, thanks for the tips, love the video thanks doing this to my truck next week
Don't get discouraged if it doesn't work right the first time. Practice makes it look easy. Let us know how with goes!!!
What does the light look like on now, does it change colour
Color won't change, intensity will be slightly reduced. With how bright modern car headlights are, you most likely won't have an issue.
Is this material same as laminate x?
Camden Mountain
Ordered my film and ive done window tint maybe 20 times with minimal issues.. the concave headlights are hard as shit to get all the fingers out. Id say this would be an easier headlight to tint, but sure made LIGHT work of it
Some headlights ARE easier than others. Sounds like you know all about it 😆
Just received the tint off the link in the video , going to try it out now your demo is awesome
Let us know how it goes!
I done it . With your video help thanks 🙏🏽
@@tonyhouston5276 I love to hear that! Great job!!!
Noice
Thanks!
Can you use a hair blow dryer instead?
@ashleycrudup2003 Typically hair dryers can't get hot enough.
I have a bike though, lots of sharp edges on the front headlights and the rear one is quite literally a 3D shape so it has 90° angles... even with a heat gun it's so hard
Lux and Vivid Air tint are my two favs. Great vid!
@jessecolton5207 Thanks brother!
came out great and i noticed you didn't spray the headlight or tint with water than apply.
Great video and thanks.
How much light do you loose?
It depends on the film you choose to use. If it's a decent brand, they should have a website that gives those details.
@@shometint thank you!
It looks easy but i have a 2018 F150 with a big bump
Try it and if it's too hard, bring it in. We were new to it once before 💪
@shometint I wish I can I'm in Louisiana lol I'm gonna give it a try
@CrunchDramaNetwork let us know how you do!
phenomenal. some.people just explain it well. subscribed 💪🏻

Aint gon lie you kinda sounds donald trump.
Making headlight tint great again....
mine keeps folding up in the corners
What kind of vehicle are you working on?
Won’t the headlights get too hot and melt the tint????
We have never had that problem with the headlights we have tinted.
Yo thanks for the tutorial! Now to jus put it into action, also thanks for the Amazon link. Keep rock'n it!
No problem, happy to help!
Youre awesome but I used the Lens Tint Spray and it worked like a mofo
Are we talking mofo good or mofo bad?!
I think worked like a mofo means it turned out BLACK 😂
@@rawbeats7600 lol. Yes. No..if you can spray from a can correctly you're sitting pretty and watched a little vodeo
I’m glad I found this !! Thanks for the video!!! Now I feel better trying it myself
Oh and you should try linking the product now in the video !!
We have it in the description but here is the link... amzn.to/3mQ8WMr
It's really not that hard, just take your time and you may need a few tries.
Looks great
Woooooo
hahaha, "22 by 12, it's packing heat"
You know it! 😆 🤣
Does the tint dull the brightness of the light?
The manufacturers website lists how much light gets past the tint. I believe the lightest tint allows up to 98% of the light to pass through.
Definitely subscribing. This dudes cool
Thanks Tony 😊
Is ot easy to get off if I change my mind?
YES! You just peel it off. At the end of the video we take it off and you can see it was very easy.
amazing work brotha keep the work up
@sethgarton7722 thank you!!!
Can I ues hair dryer instead?
@@MohammedAli-kj9zj if your hair dryer can reach 200 degrees, but I don't think many, if any, can.
Gonna tint the lights myself
@@nathaliebrinkman4607 Do it! Let us know how it goes!
Super helpful. One light is a tad foggier than the other dispite trying to restore it and the tint makes it nearly noticeable
Glad the tint can make them look the same!
Ace thankyou 🙂

Excellent stuff! How much would I need for the headlights of a mini cooper? Don’t have the vehicle yet, but it’s in transit. Just earned a sub!

just orderd mines cant wait to get to it

Where u get them jeans I like those
They are BKE, from the buckle.
@@shometint thanks
Thanks for this video. About to tint my tail lights. Good stuff. Cheers!
Let us know how it turns out!
@@shometint Well, I have done one tail light so far. I would give it a B+. However, I destroyed the first sheet of material trying. The problem is my tail light is an extremely challenging shape I now realize. Its curved the entire way, and is long all the way to a sharp point. The material wants to bunch up. Imagine a very elongated teardrop, cut in half. Its not the point part is hard. Its the spherical section. But, not impossible. I will post a final photo somewhere and link it. Thanks again.
@@shometint Damn I just watched the video again and realize I didn't follow how you did it exactly. I'm going to correct and try it on the second. You start in the middle of the light, and I started on an edge. Let's see how number 2 goes more closely following you. Thanks.
@@LIVEEVENTINNOVATIONS practice makes perfect. We are always learning. 💪
Second one, also B+ (Acceptable on my "Restoration of 2007 Honda Accord Coupe Racer). Requires more practice. HAHA@@shometint
