    Quick tip - If you want to see your cadence and heart rate on your TV also, use the iPhone’s built in screen mirroring feature instead of Peloton’s built-in AirPlay. Just swipe down from the top of your phone to get to it.

      Thanks Todd! Yes I did notice that I was looking down at my phone for the cadence and heart rate. That’s a great tip.

      I was wondering why it wasn't on the TV.
      This works from an iPhone to an iMac as well, right?

    I have done my own Feloton bike. So far so good. One other thing you would probably like to add is a Scosche Heartrate monitor which will also pair with the peloton app and display your heart rate which is very helpful. I did have issues gettting my cadence sensor to pair at the beginning and found that I would have to turn the bluetooth off on all the devices in the room (2 laptops and a phone). I also found that my cadence sensor was disconnecting a lot and I believe it was because my shoe was rubbing the zip tie that held the sensor to the pedal. I removed the zip tie and used double sided tape to attach the sensor and that solved the problem.

      Awesome thanks for the info. I haven’t had issues with the cadence connecting, but I notice if I go past 115 it stops recording my speed. That is my only disappointment.

      @@WillowMint I have noticed the same thing at high speeds. For me, at first i realized it was my sneaker hitting the zip tie on the holder that the cadence sensor was sitting in.. I think it was vibrating it enough to cause it to misread, and that would make it appear that it was disconnecting.. So i took off the rubber holder and used the double sided tape to glue it to the pedal. I still notice that sometimes at high cadence it disconnects, but I truly believe it is because at high cadence, if you do not have enough resistance on your wheel you tend to bounce a little in your seat which causes enough vibration in the bike to disrupt the cadence sensor. Now that I am able to ride at higher resistances, I do not notice it happening that much... only when i start to bounce in the seat and the bike rocks a little.

      Very good info, thank you. I will try it with the double sided tape and see if it works better.

      Hi there, even though I posted this video a few months ago, I’ve had the bike for almost a year now and it’s still working great. it does have a little bit of a creaking noise in the bar handle area but it’s not loose. Most bikes at gyms make some sort of noise but usually the music is playing so loud that you don’t hear it.

  • @jcbak

    The Peloton digital app no longer displays cadence. You need to have a separate cadence monitor.

    • @WillowMint
      @WillowMint  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine still displays it.

    Will a wahoo speed sensor work or give you a better “Feloton” experience..?

    • @WillowMint
      @WillowMint  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe for a bike that doesn’t track it, but my actual bike does track the speed so I guess I wouldn’t need it.

    How did you get your heart rate to sync from your Apple Watch? Help!

    • @WillowMint
      @WillowMint  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you go into the peloton app under more, the Apple Watch set up is there. Once you set it up, it should pick up your watch every time you use the app.

    How do you follow the resistance? I didn’t his difficult to match

    • @tamekawilliams2852
      @tamekawilliams2852 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes how do you follow the resistance?

    • @WillowMint
      @WillowMint  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been spinning for years prior to getting my at home bike, so I feel like my body senses what the resistance should be. Honestly prior to peloton, bikes at the gym never tracked the resistance, so I don’t really feel like I’m missing something by gaging it myself. My rule for myself is to go a little heavier than what the instructor says to ensure that I am at least meeting the right resistance.
