Thanks. Just bought an indoor (spin) bike. Just a 60 yr old trying to keep in shape, keep vibrant...enjoy life. I have a bad knee and I’m trying to avoid total knee replacement, too. I rode quite a bit when younger but it was all on real, outdoors bikes, both road and mountain. This is my first go on an indoor bike, so this was helpful.

I had been spinning for three and a half years but haven’t been able to spin since the first of the year. My husband bought me a bike for my 67th birthday last month so I am ready to get back to spinning. Because of my age and the fact that I am now totally out of shape, I am going to start with the beginning classes and work my way up. Hey, Im a cheap skate doing a peleton hack. Have been riding to a Pandora workout playlist. Decided to try a spin class on you tube. Your smiling face came up and I had to take your class. I loved it! Was dripping sweat on my mat. Since, I have tried one other persons class. I felt nothing, no warmth, no involvement, no teaching and most importantly no motivation. I felt like an outsider chasing her. She definitely didn't care that I was there, or that I am a 55 yo male beginner. Needless to say. You are my girl. Thanks for what you do and the way you do it.😉

i have a Pro Fitness cant get digital thing to work but i will have another go. i was going to get rid of stationary bike then saw your videos and that was it, i got the stationary bike bug again! that was about 3 months ago so back on bike now whooohooooo!
Great tips! I’m short only 5’ tall so my seat is low but I double checked the height against my hip. My handle bars were waaaay too low so I adjusted those too. Thanks so much for making this video 👍🏼
I'm on my old giant hybrid on a trainer, and I found this so helpful. I can straight up just ride but it feels more beneficial to have a guide for speed and resistqnce changes. Thanks!

This is SO helpful! It turns out my bike is just too little lol. The seat won't raise up high enough and it won't adjust foreward or backwards. Definitely time to look into replacing this bike to avoid issues!!

A quick way I learned to measure the distance between the seat and the handle bars is to measure with your forearm with your hand extended. If your elbow touches the seat and the fingertips touch the handbars then the distance should be perfect. Just a tip. :)
Kaleigh Cohen Fitness, have you ever rode a Peloton bike. I would love to know how to gauge my Peloton resistance to a different spin bike. Right now I am gauging myself by how heavy I can ride, if that makes sense 😏😏🤨🤨
I’ve never been on a Peloton bike or tried a workout! However, my mom has so I asked her if she could give me an idea of how their scale works. This is what she said, “Your 10 is probably their 70-80. Your 6 is probably their 30-35. Your 5 is their 25-30 (rarely done). Your 7 is probably their 50-60.” Again, I can’t say for certain since I haven’t tried myself. The scale that I use is all relative to the person and will start to increase with consistency as you get stronger as well! 🥳🤗 I hope this will help!

I'm finding out that the Stryde bike, which seems to be very popular, is very hard to adjust. It is very weird to setup, especially if you are tall. I think that company kind of messed up their bike in this regard only. Buy thank you for your advice as it helped me adjust it the best it can be for me. Sincerely. Thank you.
Kaleigh - I adore you and have been doing one of your rides almost daily for over a month now! I LOVE it . Struggling with one issue….and it’s tricky to google. In 1st position are you sits bones (butt) more of a point of contact? Having to much pressure (which is becoming painful ) on my more front parts while in the seat.

I'm finding out that the Stryde bike, which seems to be very popular, is very hard to adjust. It is very weird to setup, especially if you are tall. I think that company kind of messed up their bike in this regard only.

I got a new spin bike. Had to purchase a wider seat, but I can't sit straight up to cycle. Any suggestions. This video was super helpful though

Kaleigh - I adore you and have been doing one of your rides almost daily for over a month now! I LOVE it .
Struggling with one issue….and it’s tricky to google. In 1st position are you sits bones (butt) more of a point of contact? Having to much pressure (which is becoming painful ) on my more front parts while in the seat.
Can I change the clip pedal with a clip? And get it in any bike store? Looking forward to hearing from you
