Now they've given the power to "mark" people to the individual witness and not the elders its now gonna cause SERIOUS issues in the congregation because people will start shunning people on the quiet without saying anything and the elders dont have to be involved....... wow 😳😳
The fact that members can now "mark" their brothers and sisters means that they're judging within the congregation they're supposed to love, which contradicts Jesus' advice of "stop judging, so you won't get judged". Everyone will have the right to become fault finders whenever their own "Bible-trained" conscience pleases, no matter how petty it is. Very problematic. 😬
And ofc the elders will get spared a lot of responsibility, and do what they do best: manipulating and gaslighting under the name of Jehovah. 😶

My first thought was just what you said. Watchtower just handed every malicious weirdo in every JW congregation a licence to make the lives of others they don’t like a living hell. We used to call such people, mostly women, vicious gossips. And sometimes they were dealt with by a good elder. Now there’s going to be people who think they’re entitled to ruin the lives of others!
I faded in 1992 and was not aware of the marking talks.

I remember a talk that mentioned that the bible doesnt give an age range and that if someone feels it in their heart and understands the beliefs they ate ready and i was like yes there is an age given in the bible for baptism it was Jesus own age when he got baptized.

In the recent Spanish Assembly, a 12 year old KID got baptized! Then, at last night's meeting, they showed a Sophia and Caleb video and interviewed 3 KIDS about getting baptized 😡😡😡 They're so interested in the numbers, that intentionally refuse to follow Jesus example about baptism at a mature age...

It took me 2 years to get in. It felt like a reinstatement because I was there since childhood and then for some time I took „the wrong path“ and they forced me to study again and to wait when the elder’s nephew was baptised (so he can rule over young sisters better, obviously). I believed he was a spiritual 🚀 but jet I understand it, were all connections and not „Jehovahs blessing“ he became an elder by himself quick. Sadly because I beliefed him. But everything he wanted was to be seen.
It would be such a failure if I stayed there!

My sisters husband is an elder and let me tell you she was the QUEEN of informing us of whom the “marked” talks were about. Her husband would tell her! And then she always had info on why people were disfellowshipped publicly reproved. It would make me so mad. The group of elders and three wives were some of the worst gossipers. They would have there little special gatherings for just elders and their wives. I can only imagine the gossip that went on there and I’m sure drinking too 😂

The Elders of the permanent assigned position in the Judicial Committee said they dont announce it because the USA government could close down the religion. So i only missed Thursday nites and was told that's why i didnt get invited because i NEVER go to meetings anymore. The guy who said that to me killed his wife with a baseball bat because she didnt like him flirting with a jW he hired (if not cheating). So DFing is not about sin or repent, it is about games-payedwhich family is on top. Back in 1982 a smallboy i dont even know had a father Elder on my ass all the time. 30 years later he seesme at a club and shouts out my name, and he says he grew up haing his father who wouldnt shut up ABOUT ME when he got home each day. This is how vindictive half the Elders are and fake it at Bethel and the WT. They think DESTROY LIVES and DESTROY FAMILIES is merely allegation and accusation. Then how is it a stranger comes up to you and says their Elder father tortured his own family pissed off and slandering you. The remnant of the 144,000 is down to 7000 and very rapidly NOT including the 9 fakes who are currently king Saul in Jehovah's eyes.
It makes sense if they remove publishers, or people on the school because they have yet to make a dedication directly with God. Here’s where I get confused…Getting baptized is what makes you a Jehovah’s Witness. & I was taught that even if you’re disfellowshipped you still made that dedication to God, this vow you make with Jehovah is unbreakable. (Hence why you don’t get re-baptized when you’re Reinstated). Sooo how do you remove someone from a dedication that can’t be broken? The reason why you can call yourself a Jehovah’s Witness is because of the public declaration you made. So are they now saying this is Jehovah’s loophole to “divorce” us from our dedication to him. Or maybe they’re admitting that baptism is just a man-made religious initiation.

I heard new thing JW doing to try get members. If active JW you can submit a relative s address and the JW in the area will send you a letter to start a study with you. That is dangerous. If I was single woman but give my address to a stranger seem wrong & unsafe. What do you think?

I would like to know if Watchtower Society will repudiate the opinion piece from 1979(?) concerning neonatal circumcision. A couple wrote to Society to explain their reasonings for subjecting their newborn son to the operation. If you know anything about neonatal circumcision back then, doctors promoted the notion that babies don’t feel pain, or that babies didn’t register pain as an adult would. Both of these notions were horrible lies.
In the article, the JW parents cited scripture after scripture to show support of their decision. And they concluded that “a little discomfort now” would be worth it in the long run, as long as it brought favor from God.
My mother read that article and decided that she would follow suit. I was just a kid at the time, but thought that this operation was unnecessary and would hurt my little brother terribly. I will never forget the screams that emitted from the lungs of my 8-day old brother! The screams sounded otherworldly. My mother just sat there in the waiting room while my father was back in the treatment room with my brother and the doctor. The look on my father’s face suggested that I was right - the operation was unnecessary and extremely painful. I regret not punching the doctor in the nuts.
Fast-forward many years later and Society would write about female genital mutilation (FGM) in the Awake! magazine. While it proved informative, I find it hypocritical of the organization to write about the dangers of FGM and not offer insights on the sometimes deadly dangers neonatal circumcision.
I could write about more instances of contradiction as it relates to this organization, but this one has scarred me for life. Especially so because the Bible has never mentioned circumcising newborn babies, as far as I can remember. Every male who was mentioned as becoming circumcised was a grown man. And WTF is up with religions and their phallic obsessions!?!!
Anesthesia is rarely used in circumcising newborns. It takes longer for the topical anesthetic and the local anesthetic to start working that the actual operation. But even if a topical and local are used, what about pain management while the newborn is healing? Imagine having a surgical wound that gets urinated and defecated on multiple times per day, and all without the benefit of pain relief?
SMH. I have never forgiven my mother for committing this atrocity.

It's interesting how this JW man is trying to link 2 John 1:7-11 to apply to people who have left their organization, when in it's true context 2 John 1:7-11 is referring to people who are anti-Christ who deny that Jesus is God in the Flesh which in this case would apply to THEM, the Watchtower organization. They Deny that Christ is God with us (1 Timothy 3:16),(John 1:10),(Matthew 1:21),(John 14:8-11). The scripture also does not teach that you should not greet such people. The scripture talks about not lodging them in your house or commanding God's blessing on them because of the false teaching that they promote.
The Bible also does not promote shunning. It promotes dissociating from bad company but it does not say not to greet people or to not help them if they are in need.
