Man, that paradise teaching keeps people so stagnant. I remember I went horseback riding, and my mom said she can't wait to do it in paradise because she always wanted to do it. I said why not just do it now and got no answer. That paradise teaching keeps them from enjoying life now.
Jw are taught to live in the "what will be paradise earth," which is a fantasy, not the real world. God gave us all life now to enjoy the beautiful earth for our pleasure because He loves us.

This is so true. A sister posted a picture of a cabin next to a pretty countryside saying she wish she could do that in the new system. I sent her the link for “getaway cabins” for $99 they have cabins in the same state as her. She said ohh no, I can’t go to the woods now because animals are there. I will wait for the new system. Sigh

My husbands nephew and his wife are waiting for the new system. They go “where the need is greater” no kids just go wherever they’re told. They’re in countries where they hide and have already been in jail for Jehovah. Everyone in the family is so proud of them. It’s so weird to a “worldly person”

Real talk tho, I lost so many years of my lifetime to this religion, I mean I slaved for it. All that volunteer work. but I'm grateful Im free from that goofiness. I can think clearly, there's so much to enjoy NOW rather than some fantasy Gilligan's Island.

My mother inlaw did some crazy stuff back in the late 60s and early 70s... now she acts like she ain't never done anything 🙄😒 and shes a full time pioneer, so is her daughter and her son inlaw a CO that just moved back to Jacksonville from Costa rica ... she thought my husband wouldn't remember that crap and her non witness cousin, who i was close, told me allllll tea. They soooo proud to be broke ! Her son inlaw is now back and hasn't had a real job in over 25 years . My husband is police officer and is working on a second retirement. She actually said we were loving money and coveting it.... ya'll my husband blasted her and said NO I JUST DON'T WANT MY CHILDREN AND WIFE TO HAVE TO LIVE LIKE I DID! Broke goodwill clothes and dirt poor because ya'll chose feild service over feeding and clothing us! 😮 whew! That didn't go over very well 😂 oh and hi from Florida!
Sheesh that’s tough! My aunt and uncle used to live in Jacksonville as JW’s too. I’m glad your husband spoke the uncomfortable truth!
Man!!!!!!!!!! My mama back in the 70's got a job offer to the post office - single mother, 2 kids - turned the job down because she felt pressured because she'd have to work on Saturdays and couldn't go out in field service. Back in the day, the summer convention was half a day on Thursday, all day Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. I remember the people who would get on stage, because they stood for Jehovah and quit their job to be on stage telling us they ass out of a job. Serving where the need is greater is serving in territory where you gotta drive two miles in between houses and no restrooms nearby. I remember my cousin in her 20's dogging me out because I wouldn't pioneer instead of working. Telling me I wasn't putting my faith in Jehovah. Well now we're in our 50's and she went and got her real estate license selling real estate because Jehovah's running late. I can't count how many kids had scholarships or graduated valedictorian and lost opportunities for free education.
Oh, and the Kingdom Hall thing - first the GB would buy the materials and the congregation would give the labor. Then they had the congregation borrow the money from them, free labor to build, and pay them back WITH interest. Just for them to turn around and sell the building you built & paid for - but they take that money and pay these CSA lawsuits. This organization is FOUL AF!!!
Getting on stage to tell us they ahh is out of a job is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 sad but TRUTH! Getting the real estate license waiting on Jehovahs return doesn’t sound like cousin is putting faith in the paradise lol. It’s sad how they finesse the members and have them proud of getting played

They did a drama where a dude was from Africa I think. His family was starving. He got a job opportunity for a couple months to make money to feed them, although he had to travel far. But of course Watchtower needed to paint his noble efforts as materialistic. It was disgusting. His family was fucking starving to death!
That is crazy! Meanwhile they want us to show up to feed them by paying!

In elementary school, I sang in the choir but when I got to middle school, I was told to quit because of the "worldy" songs. I remember my choir teacher encouraging me to stay but remained respectful after I told him I'm raised jw. At home or riding on the bus to school, I sneaked to listen to all kinds of genres on the radio especially gospel music. I remember asking, if gospel music is about God so, why can't I sing it? I was told, gospel music is from false religions. I never like the songs at the hall because they are boring and lifeless. Even though I never sang professionally, it did not stop me from singing beautiful songs wherever before and after waking up from jws.
That terrible that they tried to rob you of doing something you like to do. The kingdom melodies were extremely bland and boriiiing! Everybody had to pretend that it was the best music ever. But I’m glad to hear you still made sure to do what you like
This giving up careers was what somehow started the cognitive dissonance...
As a teacher I strive to motivate my pupils to reach and work for their best future.
Hearing how young people turned down career opportunities, not using their talents and opted for a simple education....😢
I saw the consequences: the elder JWs having a difficult time after they retired....

JW wife and I we never had kids we were got married in 1983 and always told don't have kids because the ends going to be tomorrow we never did we divorced after 22 years and well still no kids it's really a lonely type of life because at my end of life there won't be nobody there

I just left a year and a half. As a JW I went to college to be a teacher. I was discouraged to drop out but I didn’t. I was the only JW who was a teacher at the school I work at.
Same here! Some people would even use the comments during the watchtower study to attack me for going to university, besides some people from my family making mean comments about it.
Anyway, I’m glad I did not give up and got my diploma.

You ever notice how many congregations have that one brother that owns a large business and has several other witnesses working under him? I didn't realize this was common among the witnesses until after I left, but we had the same thing in our hall and of course he was also the head elder in our hall too....
100%!! And they are looked at as super spiritual because they hold a title and make jobs for the brothers and sisters “in need”. Really they wanted them to quit their jobs SO that they could work for them

If you’re offered a better job that might take you away from the meetings they will ask you why you think you need a higher paying job! Or they will say you need to live a ‘simpler’ life! And keep reminding you that we’re only ‘temporary residents’ of this world! 🙄…..

Great video guys. One of my favourite JW teachings is the one where Jesus, after he ascended to heaven, after telling the disciples that he would return the same way he left, that all eyes would behold him, sneaked back in unknown to everyone , except to JWS, and selected the jws as the one true religion in 1914.
That’s such a good point! We’re going to have to mention that in future videos because that debunks the whole idea of them being legit
The interesting thing about extra work is that I worked at Bethel, and there were times bethelites missed meetings for work at bethel (or even to spend time with their wives). There was a double standard because the work was considered 'kingdom interests' (but it was just work - meaning it could be doing laundry or housekeeping). I was always a bit thrown by that because I knew how often brothers in the congregation were pressured to not miss meetings (even if they needed the money).
My dad has two sister’s that are both married, but chose not to have children “in this system.” They are both late 60s and early 70s now . One of my aunt’s adopted my dad’s brother’s daughter, because he was on drugs and the birth mom. My aunt didn’t want kids in this system, but felt she needed to raise my cousin as her daughter . Well she was a very unloving mother according to what I have heard . My cousin is on her early 30s fading and shunned. It’s just so cold they are shunning my cousin especially given the hand she was dealt from birth .
Wow that is sad. They dedicate their entire personality to this religion and have no empathy toward the people who decide this is not how they want to live. And yet expect all the empathy in the world

I’m so sad learning more about this organization. I lost my best friend to this religious group. When I met her she was so talented, sweet , and kind and had an overall vigor to succeed in life. The adverse issues I wont get into, but long story short, she wasn’t really aware of how to navigate without the organization, so anything that was a decision, she always felt like it was punishment for not being a witness so she went deeper into it. She kept saying that Bethel was the goal for her, but she was so smart. She won awards in the state of NY for best business models and ideas. Eventually, she gave up singing, gave up the entrepreneurial spirit, and I weeped so hard because it was from that point, misery seemed to have consume our relationship and we eventually could not talk or get along because every conversation was her trying to convert me or venting about what isn’t going well in her life. That was also exhausting. I hope she wakes up and that she can be able to be herself again not for my sake, but for her own fulfillment.
You guys are telling it all!!!😅😅😅😅 facts. You forgot to mention no pay when you get an assignment to serve where the need is great. All volunteers.

The "worldwide brotherhood" is another empty promise. They hype this as part of joining but in reality its conditional love. Also if you need financial help they won't help you cuz that misappropriation of dedicated funds 😂😂

I've been out for some time, but I so worry about my parents and sibling that are still in because they have no savings and no plans for the future. Breaks my heart, but they are still so thoroughly fooled.

I want to wait until the new system to have the "Perfect Spouse". The District/Regional Conventions I remember the announcements six months prior "request the time off now so no one takes it". I remember one who walked off his job for the convention, it took about nine months to find another job (Hired by a witness which he called a blessing). No Karaoke night because you're out in a bar and you need to wake up early for service at 6am.
RBC is now the LDC. Guilt trip you for not helping so we can sell another Kingdom Hall to possibly another French Speaking Baptist Church (aka Babylon the Great) like what happened in Milford Connecticut in 2019 I believe. lol
Jw's used to think that black peoples skin would turn white in the "new system". (Watchtower 1904 feb.15th pp52-53) Some other not so nice things about them in Watchtower 1901 Aug. 15 pp264-266 and 1902 July 15 pp215-216.

Man I turned down some great job opportunities thinking I was sacrificing fir God then got stuck on dead end job with less pay. Started praying for better job. I bet God was like man I sent good jobs but noooo you turned them down because they interfered with week day meetings. MAN THAT WAS SOME BULLSHIT
Wow some really heartbreaking stories and I have one too with many things I saw and questioned in my heartbas a child!! I've seen elders and pioneers engaging in unspiritual things and it was swept under the rug. Some members were also doing unclean acts as they called then, which I called NORMAL HUMAN BEHAVIOR, then not tell on themselves and trying to extract the hair outta my eye!! WHAT???? They are wicked and mentally abusive!

When I first started dating my husband, his whole family was JW. He was not baptized and is not jw. I remember his brother just got married at like 21 and his brothers wife said she didn't want to bring any children into this world. That was one of many red flags that made me decide immediately that this was a false religion. I jumped into research as the internet was just starting & found out so much info about the history, their twisted Bible, shunning.. I hated being thought of (& still do) as a worly person. We ALL do the same things, in this world. Well my brother and sister in law did in fact have 1 child. She's wonderful and I love her dearly. But unfortunately she's in her mid 20s & has never been on a date, was discouraged from school so works part time. I'm worried & pray for my nieces & nephews all the time. I can't see any of them waking up bc there's such a large strong connection with family and friends. They will lose it all. So , for 30 yrs my family is the worly family lol . I became a Christian & I thank God every day He led me this way, on this path of freedom in Jesus Christ. If there are any Christians who made it this far, please pray for my jw fam. Thank you & I love watching you guys, gives me so much insight. Also you both have awesome personalities & have so much to offer others outside of the Organization. I'm happy you're free now . 🙏🏼

However I would be discouraged from my parents because i was supposed to be pursuing spiritual things. Now as a 30 yr old POMO I’m finally chasing my dreams and living my life.

The no kids thing is dramatic for me right now. I'm a 36yr old man and I was married for almost 9yrs to another witness and after about 4 to 5yrs in she wanted a baby and I was sooo P.I.M.I and was like woe to the pregnant woman and we can wait til the new system. It played a role in her eventually cheating on me and with the organization's influence I divorced her to save my relationship with jehovah. Then I marry another sister 7yrs older than me and was fine with just being a step-dad to her 8yr old at the time. I woke up a year in our marriage and was like "oh shit I want a legacy of my own because there is no New system " but she's 43 and the doctor says it's highly unlikely for her to get pregnant. We'd have to do IBF and it would be over 14,000 dollars and it would still no be guaranteed. And she's still P.I.M.I!!! I can't explain enough how much it hurts to feel it was stolen from me. It puts the options of either stay married and she never wakes up and never gives you children or move foul and leave her in this organization and find a non witness and build a family. It sucks
i'd run/divorce..because you were lied too. you are not obligated to anyone, and guilt shouldn't be reason to stay
There is a governing body member currently in Australia, Mr Jackson I presume. Doing a tour of the country, I bet that will be taxable
I was in contact with a strict pioneer. She was virgin and in her late 40ies. I think she was asexual. I asked her if she not have the need to cuddle someone. Her answer was shocking to me! She said: „this is a weird question! No, i never want to cuddle“ so this is why I began to think she might be asexual. But everybody talk about her as an example, how much disciplin she has. They really glorified her. For what? When she does not have sex drive, so why should she would be glorified for that? I mean its not difficult for her!
For me it was very very difficult! I felt like I can sratch the walls up like a cat giving my sex drive up! And nobody glorified me?! I broke up with my boyfriend to be batised someday, but nobody glorified me?! Hello? I made some serious restrictions, that broke me inside! I never ever wanted to be married fot example… but to „please God“ you shouldn’t have sex without marriage. Only the mindset to MUST marrie someday was 🤢 this serious things where going against my expectations for life! When I said this to my baptised ex-sister she said: „so you will say its difficult for you to serve God because you can be a whore?“ cricets (thats not what I said) we live in the modern world and my mindset fitted in,… for the JWs I broke my mindset.
People are glorified for the weirdest things. It was a commandment to populate the earth in the Bible lol these are normal instincts that people have. She probably was asexual and I’m not buying that she had 0 desires ever

Btw, i was studying civil engineering when i started studying with the JWs and after i got baptized i was constantly being pressured to giving up my studies so i can become a ministerial servant. Guess what, i listened to the elders and stop going to college( i was gonna be graduated in 1 and half year). Now thinking back, I regretted it

P.S. There was an initiative where they DID pay for people to get education for law.
Why do they always need a midweek meeting at 7 or 7:30 and tell ppl they must turn down jobs to attend that meeting, instead of simply have multiple time for the meetings.
It’s not the 1950s where only men work 9-5 and can make it to the meeting by 7.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, 'is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'' Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.
It's so sad you can't have kids until the new system. But the Bible says ....Matthew 24:36 - However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.
My mom used to call into employers to get them to not schedule me on the meeting days. Super awkward when I went to work to be hauled into the office to explain...

When you get hired on a job. It was your responsibility to talk to your boss/manager etc about your meeting days and let them know, you have to be off work so you can get to your meetings..

Here in nh there are usually 2 people with a stand of jw pamplets standing on a sidewalk for hours. They never talk to anyone. They just stand there every day. Im sure they are just serving time lol. Usually its either two ladies or two men. Monday thru friday. Apparently Jahovah doesnt need them in snow storms or heavy rain. But cold windy days and super hot days they are there.

How about the empty promise of having the governing body as mediator in place of Jesus Christ (Jesus said: " No one comes to the Father except through me" John 14:6)
I never took time off to attend any convention or meeting. When it was convenient to me, I attended. Those assemblies were torture for me. I will never spend eight or six hours eating at any banquet.
Awaken, I can’t understand how it is that many have followed this , what many believe is a cult and believed the teachings of this organization but now can’t and won’t seek out the truth that puts them in right standing with God. They choose not to have anything to do with what we as believers as salvation through believing the gospel. All of the ones I’ve listened to have not confessed to being born again which is very troubling to me. Why believe such nonsense and not want truth? My heart goes out to all of you no one is saying they believe in God as a result of discovering this falseness. God is real and He gave His Son to die for the sins of the world . We believe and we are saved because of the preaching of the Gospel.
Give those who you are revealing this error to that you desire to bring out of this cult the truth of the Gospel.
Have you two seen the video about governing body member Steven Lett and his purchasing 250,000 investment properties, or seen the watchtower’s tax returns and their stock portfolio investments. Many are investments are military items and movie companies that make movies that they tell the witnesses they can’t watch lol.
Hey guys…sorry, I feel like I pipe up for every video but I have so much to say! The reason they want bodies at the convention is because bodies=money for them.
As far as things Jws give up; my dad is an amazing singer/songwriter/guitar player but he’s BROTHER ELDER and gave all of that up. He could have had an amazing career and I know he wanted to. But he wanted that religion more. He’s 76 now and I always wonder if he has regrets. He doesn’t seem to. He always “performed” at JW get togethers and was so popular. Funny thing that I didn’t ever think about til you mentioned it is that he did go to coffeehouses a few times and did open mics there with his music. 🤔
Also speaking of investments, my husband did a deep dive a few years ago and found out that JWs have stocks and investments in companies that make military equipment 😮.
That’s so sad that your dad didn’t get to pursue a career with something he loves. And they definitely have some crazy investments and a lot of long term investments. Which is wild because the world is supposed to end “any day now” lol
P.S. On having talents: Again a double standard because the organization will praise the people who play instruments for recording kingdom melodies and/or literature art work. Why can they have talents? Why do the governing body praise the building programs and/or JW broadcasts? If all praise is to go to Jehovah....then ARGH - so many double standards!
Actually I wonder if they prefer new converts due to most of them staying. From what I've seen it's ALWAYS the children of witnesses who leave. I am one. If you discourage the kids from pursuing more then they may feel stuck. This is just my theory, love you guys!
There is definitely some truth to that. The kids always feel like they are missing out on something they never got to experience and it sparks that curiosity. Vs the people that left the regular life behind to join the cult
With all of that being jobless or minimum wages, how does the elders and the Governing Board or Body do it for themselves and their family?
My Ex-Wife told me that, as I was a Drummer, if I join before we were divorced. As Jehovah Witnesses I will be able to join th jw orchestra. I told her their music is highly boring, as it practically the same boring music 😔 over and over.
As an individual I had five talents as a Drummer, Photographer, Construction Drafting Designer, Painting Artists, Accountant, and Computer Technician.
You are being taken advantage of by the JW ORGANIZATION Corporation. I always wondered why only the White Caucasian People worked in the offices. Such as the Computer Department, when I visited the Watchtower in 1985 on our honeymoon and was not allowed entry. But all I saw were White Caucasian People working (Employees)in the offices and they were not very friendly either. But my Wife was glowing with pride.
JW White vs JW Minority Culture is so contrasting!!!! Social and Cultural norms and expectations are so very different… the things that are emphasized on poorer neighborhoods verses rich white neighborhoods they are very different in their delivery and exploitations..

the "last days" teaching is so tired at this point.
