Brothers can wear beards now, sisters can wear pants and even brothers don't have to wear ties and jackets! What??? All these changes due to millions of witnesses leaving! I was disfellowshiped 20 years ago unjustly, so now I can be welcomed back with open arms? Noooooo i don't think so!!
It's crazy to me how so many JWs get excited about the new adjustments(that are basically common sense, nothing Spiritually deep) rather than making them take a step back and go🤔
These changes are so ridiculous. Grown people need to be told how to dress and groom and to whom they can talk to and associate with. I was born in this cult. This update stirred up so much emotions inside me. I recall that I got the worst whooping of my life from my mother and my father at the same time. Just because I didn't want to wear a neck tie to the KH. Now with this change I see a tie wasn't even necessary. Wow, tell that to my back side. I am a former student of JW's I left after my teacher's son got disfellowshiped. January 23, 2024 was the night it was announced in front of the whole entire congregation. She wasn't there that night. I texted her and I asked her the question. Why was he disfellowshiped? "Just curious". She said that it was hurtful for me to ask that. She said just know that Jehovah disciplines the ones he loves. then a few days ago I received a letter in the mail from her. A 4 page letter with the invitation to Jesus memorial. I think not. I will be celebrating the "Birth" of Jesus Christ in July and December.
They are trying to pressure me into coming back. Also, they keep asking me why I didn't get baptized. I almost committed suicide when I was with that organization. I don't never want to return. My friend stop talking to me, because I watch programs like yours. So, they have a problem with that. Too bad. I will never stop watching your program. I need you all in my life. Yep. A young man in my grandmas congregation unalived himself at 18 years old. He was disfellowhipped and was shunned so bad. His mother and siblings who lived in the house with him acted liked he didn’t exist. He couldn’t take it and left this world. I will never forget how his mother was so unbothered about his unaliving. We went to his funeral at a worldly funeral home because he was disfellowshipped and couldn’t have his funeral at the Kingdom Hall. Crazy!!!

Everything is about looking good to the outside world so maybe they got rid of both of them eventually but I know she went first. There's stories all over the net about people d.f because they told the elders they had been molested so I'm not surprised by my sister in laws story. OMG this so weird, I just watched an episode of Hoarders, and if you’ve ever watched you know that most of the time hoarding is triggered by the loss of a loved one, or a traumatizing situation. In this particular episode the lady said that she and her family were Jehovah’s Witnesses, and her father was a Jehovah’s Witness minister who was very controlling, but the mom was passive and didn’t say much. She and her mom were traumatized by him and his rules She got corporal punishment. She couldn’t play with her friends and didn’t have much. So, she ended up a hoarding. She wanted to be in control of her own life and do what she want and buy what she wanted! i know this is not typical but it’s sad non the less

20:35 my cousin got disfellowshipped at around 13 years old, she couldn’t attend her brothers wedding. That still rubs me the wrong way like really??!! Our daughter was df'd at 15 years old. I went and asked the CO if she could meet with elders and he said it had to be a year. It was his last visit. When we got the new CO, he said sure, lets set up a meeting with her. Talk about screwed up!

So it really SHOCKS me what you share here, and that any person would want to go back into such an unloving environment after being disfellowshipped! It makes no sense to me to belong to any religion or group that treats me unlovingly!
It's called indoctrination. From a young age things are drummed into your head. I was not in this group but there's other groups like this.

I am a former student of JW's I left after my teacher's son got disfellowshiped. January 23, 2024 was the night it was announced in front of the whole entire congregation. She wasn't there that night. I texted her and I asked her the question. Why was he disfellowshiped? "Just curious". She said that it was hurtful for me to ask that. She said just know that Jehovah disciplines the ones he loves. then a few days ago I received a letter in the mail from her. A 4 page letter with the invitation to Jesus memorial. I think not. I will be celebrating the "Birth" of Jesus Christ in July and December.

Yep. A young man in my grandmas congregation unalived himself at 18 years old. He was disfellowhipped and was shunned so bad. His mother and siblings who lived in the house with him acted liked he didn’t exist. He couldn’t take it and left this world. I will never forget how his mother was so unbothered about his unaliving. We went to his funeral at a worldly funeral home because he was disfellowshipped and couldn’t have his funeral at the Kingdom Hall. Crazy!!!

The problem is most witnesses won’t know the context behind these changes. They won’t know the witnesses are getting picked apart in court about the disfellowhshipping along with them losing millions of people worldwide. If they knew that context they’d look at these changes more clearly

Everything is about looking good to the outside world so maybe they got rid of both of them eventually but I know she went first. There's stories all over the net about people d.f because they told the elders they had been molested so I'm not surprised by my sister in laws story.

My MIL passed away due to insufficient blood. I told her kids that I hope when JW changes that they won’t carry no guilt. I got baptized 2019 and stop going to meetings in 2020. I don’t ever want to be part of something like that again

OMG this so weird, I just watched an episode of Hoarders, and if you’ve ever watched you know that most of the time hoarding is triggered by the loss of a loved one, or a traumatizing situation. In this particular episode the lady said that she and her family were Jehovah’s Witnesses, and her father was a Jehovah’s Witness minister who was very controlling, but the mom was passive and didn’t say much. She and her mom were traumatized by him and his rules She got corporal punishment. She couldn’t play with her friends and didn’t have much. So, she ended up a hoarding. She wanted to be in control of her own life and do what she want and buy what she wanted! i know this is not typical but it’s sad non the less

20:35 my cousin got disfellowshipped at around 13 years old, she couldn’t attend her brothers wedding. That still rubs me the wrong way like really??!! I remember she didn’t get reinstated until like 15 if I’m not wrong and even when she attended every meeting I remember she still had to write like a letter to the elders so they could even consider reinstating her.
A second meeting maybe required if the details of the act were so good the elders had to hear it again, so the elders can beat off again!
